I don't think it's fair,that an actress of Sanam Saeed's caliber auditions for a part everyone knows she'll deliver at the flip of her hand! When someone like a Fawad khan doesn't audition for the part just because he's a male superstar... Don't get me wrong, I love Fawad,but Sanam doesn't need to audition to prove her skill!

Its pretty evident that they already knew who they wanted to cast in the show..Sanam messed up by bringing in “auditioning” part.
This happens everywhere. It's only Pakistan where audition isn't a normal thing.
Oh god, I just love Sanam!!! She is so graceful and the way she carries herself, I am in absolute awe. She looks beautiful without even trying.
What I love about Sanam Saeed is that she has 0 insecurity. She openly talks about her male and female co-stars and appreciates them from the bottom of her heart. She talked about Sana Nawaz in another one of her interviews, with whom she worked in UmroAyyar. While talking about both Fawads, you could actually see in her eyes how much she admires them. That's why she's a superstar.
I'm only 20 minutes into this interview but had to pause to comment - ptv needs more writers and directors like Asim Abbasi, he seems like such a responsible storyteller who is prioritising his craft. Fantastic interview 👏🏽
the makers should give Urdu subtitles for English dialogues because not everyone can understand English properly especially our older generations as you say it's a family drama so it's necessary to understand that everyone should enjoy it.
It’s so rare to find well spoken, intelligent artistes and filmmakers in Pakistan.. most of them sound so shallow when they speak.. This team is different from what i often see on PTV..
That trailer is absolutely mind blowing. Cake and Churails were amazing as far as story was concerned but the visuals which Barzakh has are absolutely phenomenal. Anxiously waiting for this one.

Saeed is truly one of the best actresses in the Pakistani entertainment industry! Her performances are always so captivating and full of depth. It's a shame that directors and producers don't give her the recognition she truly deserves. Her training as a theater actor clearly shows in her work, and she represents Pakistan on her shoulders with grace and excellence. I was a huge fan of Sanam Saeed until yesterday when I found out she is among those who participated in the false propaganda of the for 47 Thief Minister of Punjab by posting videos in favour of this zaalim Thief Minister and got paid for them. So I am boycotting them all.

I feel like this serial is inspired by Korean netflix series named Hotel Deluna. One of its episode, a dead bride, was getting married with an alive groom. In my mind, the script was giving me that vibe.
Coco the 3D animated movie also has similar plot. Hotel Transylvania, Hazbin Hotel all have “Life and Death” “Supernatural” themes. The Corpse Bride another similar animated movie. The writer/director is smart enough to not copy from any of the mainstream Bollywood stuff but instead copy it from the stuff he thinks isn’t that well known among this south Asian demography. Cake the movie is similar to Barzakh. Another series Churails is also a knock off Oceans 11 and Churails. Residing in UK/US is beneficial since they have so many film and arts festivals where so much content is put on exhibition from around the world. He just have to get “inspired” and write the stuff that doesn’t get much mainstream visibility even in those festivals let alone in south Asian countries. Our awaam suffers from inferiority complex from the get go so it is easy to fool and impress and also gloat and insult the local content since it’s a cool thing.

Barzskh means Bardo in English. It’s a Buddhist / Hindu concept. There’s a beautiful book called Lincoln In The Bardo by George Saunders. So basically all humans know about this irrespective of whatever religion.
Whenever I see Sanam saeed, I feel like I am watching a miss universe, she speaks very well, she gives accurate answers, she has the physique, and she is a brilliant actor who delivers spot on just amazing , and always feels that she deserves more recognition, she is complete STAR of Pakistan, always loves u

Ugh i wish you asked asim more questions about his writing process. Lot more to have scavenge with such genius people.
Aamna your interviewing skills need some honing. The awkward silences from lack of follow up questions seem like its lack of preparation. It makes the viewer uncomfortable and the guest looks visibly uncomfortable. There is so much to ask them. So much to get them to reveal, but it fails to happen which is why the interviews remain short.

I am boycotting this interview and everything/ project/drama related to this very lady named Sanam Saeed that just proved herself to be a marketable commodity. Encouraging and supporting maryam nawaz and whatever she and her govt is doing with the country makes you equally responsible for the current horrendous situation of our beloved Pakistan. Noch khaya hai sb ne hmaray mulk ko. You are a successful actor with a reasonable body of work at your credit yet you find it necessary to jump into this filth called supporting a govt which has made record number of people commit suicide due to inflation.. people are selling their household items to pay their bills.. i just saw yesterday a man was selling his little daughter’s baalian to pay his electricity bill aur ap ko Maryam Nawaz jannat ki sair krati lg rae hain?? I urge you to please get into your air conditioned car and visit some underprivileged areas of your city as see bhook kya hoti hai!!! I also has forgiven many celebrities for their statements and mistakes but this time I can't because she had the choice ,she could have easily refused that paid promotion video which was also offered to many other actors.
