I like how she's always saying she's going to teach people how to speak English like a native while making basic mistakes 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I laughed so hard
Russian suck
Well, she is not a linguist or a teacher after all. As far as I remember Marina graduated from University with a degree in economics. How can she possibly teach anyone English?
@@eugenebar6646 @Eugene Bar C'mon, if you teach someone you have to be better than your students at least. And you have to be good at what you do.
I learn such expressions as: to brush up on and so on now . (C2 level)
I study at Business Eglish Faculty btw. (in Poland)
Before I graduated the Pedagogical University as an English Teacher. I spent 5 years of my life to start being an English teacher. (in Russia)
And now, looking at such "teachers" it makes me feel sick.
@@jakubserbinowski6467she doesn’t teach by herself. She has native speakers helping her to lead her courses. She is just a businesswoman, it is her course but she doesn’t teach.
Thanks to Marina for making a lot of mistakes, otherwise how would we learn the correct version of English through Liza😊
That's correct. Базар жок .
it would be all good, and not a big deal, if Marina didn't charge people money by selling her fake "native English"!
I would say it was a waste of time.
The mistakes that are made by Marina Mogilko is unbelievable and mostly it has to do with grammar.
This is a reminder that I have to brush up on my grammar in order to get better at it and not to make mistakes
Thank you Kevin and Lisa, I appreciate what you do!
Yesterday I told my student why we cannot really use the object after the verb "recommend". It was extremely easy to explain because previously I had watched your video about that topic. Hats off to you, Kevin and Lisa, your lessons are so helpful not only for learners but for non-native English teachers as well. Lots of love!
Yup!!
I'm a non-native English teacher too, and I love their videos because I keep improving my English, and it's also important to make sure that we're teaching correctly.
That is strange because Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary says the construction "recommend somebody to do something" is good. It even gives the example sentence: We'd recommend you to book your flight early.
Marina still today confuses the third person in grammar but she makes thousands of dollars a month out of courses and bad lessons. UA-cam makes marketing sales a priority ignoring the content. How sad this is...
I’ve been teaching English for 12 years and, being my second language, I have to say that I have to be constantly learning. We can never fall into the trap of thinking that we know enough already. These videos are really helpful. Great job 👏.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've got 6 years of teaching experience and I'm still struggling with some aspects of English and self-teach myself constantly. I can't even dare to say that I'm a confident speaker and user of English 😂
@@andrew_07_00 Hi there. This can also happens to native speakers. There are a lot of ambiguities in the English language.
Totally agree with you! I am a teacher as well. I always feel like I have to keep learning
Here you have a mistake in your comment , if we're talking about a specific Time WE use the simple past , so it's not "i've been teaching eng for 12 y.o" but it's " *i taught eng for 12 years old* "
@@aichaelhabti729 no... you're totally wrong
Alternative title: "roasting linguamarina for 19 minutes 30 seconds straight".
The showing the examples of common mistakes and wayes of correcting them is very helpful and memorable. If nobody points out them, we will keep making them forever.
👍💯
I just wantcha 2 know that you just made a few mistakes

Soooo true 😢
@@sarcastico3238 thanks😀
Lisa a melhor professora de gramática de inglês americano
It's incredible that people like Marina have no shame charging people for materials they produce.
I have engineering degrees from two reputable UK universities and the highest IELTS score in speaking. But I know that I make occasional mistakes as a non-native speaker. And that's why I don't teach English (I teach Maths though). Cant believe people are so unprofessional and feel okay about it.
Thanks for these interesting videos!
Because she is a snob and I never liked her channel
Even native speakers can make mistakes sometimes, it's natural and nobody's perfect. But Marina positions herself as an outstanding English teacher, who sell her own PAID courses. Of course, non-native Speakers will hardly check how correct her English is. And it all turns out to be crappy, that the teacher takes money for wrongly taught courses. Though in Russian internet space she nearly has the reputation of a scammer along with her husband :D
Oh really? Where can I look it up or read about it in Russian space (I'm Russian speaker)?
I'm an English teacher in an online school where we the classes are held on an interactive platform and I was shocked to see Marina's video in one of the units there. I immediately asked the management to get rid of it 😂
Why? It will be sad if they remove it. We need to learn from the mistakes others make so we avoid making them. I enjoyed watching the video. I think it was great. They speak English perfectly and you should learn from native speakers if you want to achieve that level of speaking the English language.
@@Summer-3 I see your point but the problem here is that many Beginner/Elementary students won't be able to spot the mistakes and learn the mistaken phrases, word stress, grammar. In my humble opinion, it would be wiser to let them use reliable materials.
@@Summer-3 I guess you get me wrong and refer to something I haven't mentioned in my first comment :)
@@andrew_07_00 beginners won't understand Marina anyway. Her videos are not for beginners but the intermediate level or even higher. I've also noticed she missed an article in those short videos. She used "chapter" without an "a". I thought Liza would pick her up on that but she didn't. I think if you are a mega blogger you should speak impeccably.
It's such a practical way of learning English. My mother tongue is Russian and I could definitely make similar mistakes. Thank you, thank you, thank you, guys🎉
Russian? Great. Please go to her channel and tell her not teaching wrong English in Russian. Thank you in advance
@@mojtabakhani3479Марина сейчас не любит русскую аудиторию , потому что она думает что это русская аудитория ее хейтит! А американская аудитория благодарит за ее английский ….
The focus is on *the* English _language_ .
The focus is on English.
I never knew that article was so important. Thank you Lisa.
I guess it’s all about huge Marina’s self-confidence. One of my colleagues recommended I watch one of Marina’s videos. It looked and sounded suspicious. Not being a native speaker I couldn’t identify all mistakes, but I was sure there were some. Now I’m watching you, guys! Cheers!
Это очень полезное видео для нас. Марина совершает типичные для руссоязычных ошибки.
Thank you for this video. Marina makes mistakes which are very common for Russian speakers. This video is extremely useful for us!
Кроме ошибок она совершила ещё кое-что

Making so many mistakes when you try to sell your book on grammar >_
😂😂😂
I hope Marina will study by your videos. Imagine having such amazing teachers who would correct all your mistakes and explain the correct way ❤
Guys, I need further explanation for this _brush up_ phrasal verb. According to dictionaries this _on_ is optional. Why do you say it is a mistake to say it without _on_ ?
Do you mean Americans say _brush up on_ only or this is the only way to say it in modern English or what?🤔
That's true. I found brush up sth in Collins dictionary.
Thank you so much for plucking those English weeds out of our English garden...
Oh boy! I love it 😁
This Marina claims to teach advanced English and even tenses, but she makes beginner mistakes with the tenses.
Dear lovely teachers, for sure, I can't thank you enough. You're helping us improve our English. Keep uploading the similar videos. 👍
Marina is the blind leading the blind, figuratively speaking.
Interesting lesson
"My team and I"
Her team: Marina, Venya, Veronika, Kris Amerikos and Maddy.
I wonder if they proofread their work before publishing it.
@Kama Baronson I wonder if they'll ever correct Antonio Parlati. Normally his pronunciation is spot on, but perhaps the information he shares is not always accurate.
I might be wrong I guess Antonio has a college degree he is a real teacher just from Italy. I like those videos, they are useful!
These comments are hilarious. Kevin and Liza are Marina's biggest fans 😂
Lol Kris Amerikos has his whole family in videos. They are definitely native speakers.
Despite being from Italy. Just a remark. Never use the word despite and subject and verb, use a noun. I'm a teacher too.
What a nice collection! Refreshing as ever whenever Marina shows up.
Hello Liza and Kevin.
All of your videos are AMAZING. The way you’re teaching is the BEST 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for your videos. I’ve learned a lot faster from those videos. Actually, I didn’t notice that Marina made mistakes. 😅
Because it’s so hard for a non native speaker to spot a mistake. 😅
I definitely can hear a Russian/slavic accent in Marina's speech. I'm also a Russian native speaker.
Dear Liza,
Thank you for your amazing English language teaching videos. Your content is both informative and engaging, and your dedication to providing authentic material is greatly appreciated. Your friendly and approachable personality makes learning from you a joy.
Keep up the great work!
I see what you did there! Your video cleverly highlights the importance of teaching correct English by using examples from English teaching content. It's funny how sometimes the best way to learn something is by seeing what not to do. Great job!
Just occasionally found your videos and enjoyed them so so so much!!!! Please don’t stop making them
Amazing! Thank you for the video! Imagine home many people got scammed by Marina!
Kevin and Lisa, I recommend that you underline 4 words or phrases in option A to D made by marina, so people can guess which the mistakes are
They will be like error identification on TOEFL test
What a great suggestion.
@@arenglish8906everyone can try their ability to guess before kevin and Lisa explain the mistakes to people
Such videos are priceless! I am so sorry for Marina and her mistakes but these videos help me really good to improve my English as I do almost the same mistakes as she does.
The best English learning channel. Love it so much
👍
I like your way of teaching👍
Are there any more special verbs like "recommend"?
🙏🙏🙏👍
Where in the world is Marina's team correcting her?? 😮😮
Good morning! Another excellent lesson! Thank you
As a person for whom English is a 3rd language, this is extremely helpful and can realate to Marina .I realised I also make these mistakes .At first I was angry why people make accent on her mistakes , but now I understood that even small mistakes can be confusing and play an important role , especially if one is teaching millions.Thank you
Wow. That's an excellent job. You two help learning English. Thank you very much.
Thanks for exposing her😢 thanks for all the corrections.🎉
Awesome!
Thank you for such a great lesson! However, I think that all the 'mistakes' Marina made should be called slips, cause I am sure she knows the rules, though did not follow them for some reason.
Definitely not, especially in case of verb usage.
You guys are awesome. I find this topic really challenging.
OMG...It's crazy how many mistakes Marina as a teacher makes...and honestly...she earns big money "teaching" her subscribers and fans...
She is not a teacher! Just a blogger blah blah blah
Спасибо,что осмелились
А то "адвокаты" Марины не дремлют,ищут подвох.
Но справедливости ради ,хочу сказать,что у нее много интересного в телеграмм канале и она довольна востребована Ютюб сообществом .
Не знаю,правильно ли это.
Но как спикер,она зажигательна и прекрасна,она батарейка энерджайзер
She always has this fake wide smile and it's annoying
Осмелились? Лиза и Кевин профессиональные преподаватели,а Марина назвавшаяся учителем а. яз. авантюристка.без профильного образования.
Thank you for all your hard work!
Well done. We can better learn by other's mistakes. 🙏🏼👍
Thank you for this brilliant video.
One of the excellent teachers ❤
Love your videos. It is just practising and to practise. This is what I have noticed. Thank you
Thank you. Great video.

So grateful for this video! Liza and Kevin you are the best 👍👍👍 greetings from France 🇫🇷
Thank you!!!
You're a very conscientious English teacher. Thanks a lot ... Hard to find in this world

HI Liza
I would like to point out that I will never ever brush up on my English knowledge with Marina.
Because if I did I would definetely make those mistakes.

Thank you so much for this awesome video. I'm learning a lot from you.
The fact that she doesn't have an editor working with such big audience says a lot about her attitude . She just doesn't care.
Thank you for your job. It's very helpful to understand English.
Thank u sooo muchhh! I learnt a lot of things from this lesson.Keep up the good work!
😮😮😮wow ❤❤❤❤❤Glad you teach the right thing! I'm learning English with you!
I love your lessons
❤ thanks Liza and Kevin!
Спасибоооо!
Thank you so much 👏 guys 💯👍
You're doing a great job
I would appreciate if you could explain the causative verbs.
I also noticed the 1st mistake, I remember when we learned these phrasal verbs with my students.
What's funny, that as a slavic person I hear a slavic accent in Liza's English :)
Adorable Liza i love you
Great video, thank you guys. It seems only a native speaker should teach a language.
Marina got lingua-tripped
A quick question
If the first sentence was passive what would change the next sentence?for example he is highly recommended exercise or exercising or to exercise?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️
She is a teacher and making that mistakes!!
She is not, she is a manager and an adventurist.
@@user-in5sq8rz1c what does she manage ?
👍👍👍👍
You know, it’s explicable , that’s she makes mistakes ‘cause English is not her mother tongue, btw she can sell something (her business is kinda lucrative not because she is a good at English, but because she is good at marketing and business sphere) I hope your videos will be helpful for foreigners who struggle with learning English. Thanks for your video! That was useful for me , as I did not notice these mistakes 😅
Даже я начав изучать английский с нуля ( в школе учила немецкий), поняла эти ошибки
I have to agree with you that Marina has to learn more about tenses.
You supper!!!
Hello, sir and mam, I have a request for you that you should upload a complete video discussing about subjunctive mode so that it can be helpful for us to understand.
I recommend that you not say the wrong examples out loud, since it makes it easier to remember and then use them. You can just show them on the screen
Hey! I appreciate your effort to teach us English correctly and I learnt interesting things from you! However, can you please explain to me why you say "that I not eat" instead of "that I not to eat"? (11:35). I'm a bit confused.
3:49 a good one!
Марина уже 6 лет живет в Америке… ну ккааак можно делать такие ошибки? Если только намеренно 🥲
I feel so bad for Marina. She makes a lot of really stupid mistakes. Who’s going to take her seriously?
I feel so bad for people who learn English from her. I am also not a native English speaker. It's not ok to pay and take classes if she doesn't teach proper English.
@Kama Baronson beauty? but she's kinda meh
@@bakhtiyaralmaty1663 , please, let's not judge her for her appearance. She is pretty, every woman is pretty, but it has nothing to do with her teaching.
You should instead feel bad for mogylko’s subscribers who are being deceived by her.
8 million of her subscribers?
Murphy says that we can use "should" with "recommend" : Doctors recommend that everyone should eat plenty of fruit.

A grammar book!!!!!!!!!!!!
