      Well, she is not a linguist or a teacher after all. As far as I remember Marina graduated from University with a degree in economics. How can she possibly teach anyone English?

      I learn such expressions as: to brush up on and so on now . (C2 level)
      I study at Business Eglish Faculty btw. (in Poland)
      Before I graduated the Pedagogical University as an English Teacher. I spent 5 years of my life to start being an English teacher. (in Russia)
      And now, looking at such "teachers" it makes me feel sick.

    The mistakes that are made by Marina Mogilko is unbelievable and mostly it has to do with grammar.
    This is a reminder that I have to brush up on my grammar in order to get better at it and not to make mistakes

    Yesterday I told my student why we cannot really use the object after the verb "recommend". It was extremely easy to explain because previously I had watched your video about that topic.       That is strange because Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary says the construction "recommend somebody to do something" is good. It even gives the example sentence: We'd recommend you to book your flight early.

    Marina still today confuses the third person in grammar but she makes thousands of dollars a month out of courses and bad lessons. UA-cam makes marketing sales a priority ignoring the content. How sad this is...

    I’ve been teaching English for 12 years and, being my second language, I have to say that I have to be constantly learning. We can never fall into the trap of thinking that we know enough already. These videos are really helpful. Great job 👏.

      I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've got 6 years of teaching experience and I'm still struggling with some aspects of English and self-teach myself constantly. I can't even dare to say that I'm a confident speaker and user of English 😂

      Here you have a mistake in your comment , if we're talking about a specific Time WE use the simple past , so it's not "i've been teaching eng for 12 y.o" but it's " *i taught eng for 12 years old* "

    It's incredible that people like Marina have no shame charging people for materials they produce.
    I have engineering degrees from two reputable UK universities and the highest IELTS score in speaking. But I know that I make occasional mistakes as a non-native speaker. And that's why I don't teach English (I teach Maths though). Cant believe people are so unprofessional and feel okay about it.

    Even native speakers can make mistakes sometimes, it's natural and nobody's perfect. But Marina positions herself as an outstanding English teacher, who sell her own PAID courses. Of course, non-native Speakers will hardly check how correct her English is. And it all turns out to be crappy, that the teacher takes money for wrongly taught courses. Though in Russian internet space she nearly has the reputation of a scammer along with her husband :D

    I'm an English teacher in an online school where we the classes are held on an interactive platform and I was shocked to see Marina's video in one of the units there. I immediately asked the management to get rid of it 😂

      Why? It will be sad if they remove it. We need to learn from the mistakes others make so we avoid making them. I enjoyed watching the video. I think it was great. They speak English perfectly and you should learn from native speakers if you want to achieve that level of speaking the English language.

      @@Summer-3 I see your point but the problem here is that many Beginner/Elementary students won't be able to spot the mistakes and learn the mistaken phrases, word stress, grammar. In my humble opinion, it would be wiser to let them use reliable materials.

      @@andrew_07_00 beginners won't understand Marina anyway. Her videos are not for beginners but the intermediate level or even higher. I've also noticed she missed an article in those short videos. She used "chapter" without an "a". I thought Liza would pick her up on that but she didn't. I think if you are a mega blogger you should speak impeccably.

    I guess it’s all about huge Marina’s self-confidence. One of my colleagues recommended I watch one of Marina’s videos. It looked and sounded suspicious. Not being a native speaker I couldn’t identify all mistakes, but I was sure there were some. Now I’m watching you, guys! Cheers!

    Guys, I need further explanation for this _brush up_ phrasal verb. According to dictionaries this _on_ is optional. Why do you say it is a mistake to say it without _on_ ?
    Do you mean Americans say _brush up on_ only or this is the only way to say it in modern English or what?🤔

    As a person for whom English is a 3rd language, this is extremely helpful and can realate to Marina .I realised I also make these mistakes .At first I was angry why people make accent on her mistakes , but now I understood that even small mistakes can be confusing and play an important role , especially if one is teaching millions.Thank you

    You know, it’s explicable , that’s she makes mistakes ‘cause English is not her mother tongue, btw she can sell something (her business is kinda lucrative not because she is a good at English, but because she is good at marketing and business sphere) I hope your videos will be helpful for foreigners who struggle with learning English.     Murphy says that we can use "should" with "recommend" : Doctors recommend that everyone should eat plenty of fruit.
