A couple things from a fellow gaming laptop owner: 1. You need to play with battery plugged in 2. It's the first time the laptop is playing fn so it needs to adjust to it. 3. opitimaztions need to have certain settings enabled and disabled.

I own the exact laptop and as a laptop owner, i have 3 things to say:
1. Play with the charger plugged in to get better performance
2. Use a seperate keyboard so u dont damage the laptop one.
3. Buy a cooler stand so it doesnt overheat.

I got a nitro 7 in 2020 with 1660ti and i7 which was the highest you could get in a laptop back then, it was my first laptop and I was soo disappointed. It would always stutter, and I used to get 40 fps in something that I was supposed to get over 70 in, reason being was that it had a single channel 8gb ram. I added another 8 and it literally solved all the problems and got the fps I was supposed to be getting. It's crazy how much difference a single channel ram can make. It's not just about 8gb vs 16gb ram, it more about single channel and dual channel. Also. I had to change the keyboard about an year ago, the greasy/sweaty fingers kills the keycaps so I definitely agree with the comment here. Use an external keyboard.
Mine is a 3050 ti i5 and 16 gigs of ram
The main problem is U didnt plug in the Laptop.When playing a game u must plug the lap so that it can reach the MAX potential of the laptop.Second is the ram.Just add another 8gn and you are good to go.Even without 16gigs of ram 8gb ram can fortnite with the lap plugged in.HOPE IT HELPS!
It's only red blacklight lights on the keyboard. I have this same Nitro 5 I bought in 2020 with i5 10300H, gtx 1650, and I upgraded it to 32gb. It's still working pretty good. But I already have a good laptop which is a Acer Predator Helios Neo 16: i7, RTX 4060, with 16gb, 165hz. The Nitro 5 I am giving it to my cousin and it will work for her pretty well.

Can you show us the cpu, gpu and ram usage during the game? 8gb of ram is recommended for fortnite, and you have an unplugged 10th gen i5. The problem might be the cpu since you're not charging the laptop, making it throttle itself for longer battery life.
back in 2022 I got the model that has a 3050 TI and 5800h and if you do a bit of optimization so you can get solid 240fps in br well recording :]

im using the laptop you reviewed in the video currently, I think you have the updated model which still has the same gpu and cpu but the older gen of the laptop has 16 gb of ram.

I used to have the same laptop and it honestly ran smoothly for me. The only reason I upgraded was because I had the option to get a pc for free (getting a pc is always the best option because of upgrade ability).

Get a 1060/1050 laptop used from ebay, back then they actually put the desktop gpu in the laptop, I got mine for 350€ with 32gb of ram and a 6gb gtx 1060
Here is clarification for why vermax fps was so low 1 wrong epic games settings 2 charger might have not been plugged in or it’s charging 3 ram laptop screen 4 recording 5 brand new has to load everything overall this laptop could get 200 fps stable if done correctly

most significant thing was prob ram and also the fact that its a laptop so the cpu and gpu are naturally slower and also laptops have way worse cooling systems than desktop pcs

Fortnite is mainly a cpu game, so a 10th gen cpu with no charger plugged in really limits the performance. A msi gf65 thin with a 1660ti ( very similar performance) is around $400 on eBay anyway. For this small of a budget, you always want to buy used.

if you plug in the charger while playing you will get an insane boost in fps and way less ping ill look for my settings to get 200 frames when i get it

Also the laptop I use used to have a charging problem so I played with it unplugged. That makes it worse, and when I fixed the charging problem it was so much better, but I had to go into the nividia experience and change some settings around charging
Bro I have the same laptop but with the only diference that mine has a gtx 1650 and windows 10, and it's very stable (+120fps most of the time)
My acer nitro 5 has the same specs and with barely any optimization I can get over 340fps with ease the max I’ve gotten was around 550fps

my pc performs at like triple performance with the same specs, its a desktop computer but still you shouldnt be seeing fps that low in a laptop, maybe you have outdated drivers or because its unplugged.

Refresh rate of screen locked to 60 herz when power isnt connected
Second things: cpu goes to power save mode neutralizing power consumption and performance downgrade.

Did you even plug it in? If you didn’t that’s what explains the poor performance. I have a laptop with worse specs and run 144fps in battle royal.
The reason that the fps is so bad is because you didnt plug the laptop in while playing. When i got a gaming laptop for the first time before i got a pc i was confused why the fps was so bad but when i plugged it in it was amazing (it was a different and better laptop tho).

and now i have the same acer as you bought it was really good it had 144fps stable but when chapter 5 came out it got more texture so it now gets 100fps

I have and older acer nitro 5. It craps out fast. Not worth ir whatsoever. Just buy a $450 pc and upgrade it. Trust me, its a better investment. It also only ran like 70 ish fps and 100 if your lucky in creative
You can actually change the rgb with the pre installed system you should see in your home menu
i had an asus laptop at high settings it had abt 70 fps then i put 8gb rams more in there it got abt 100 fps on the high then i made my quality really low it had like 120 on the high when lower it was abt 100fps
probably was using the integrated gpu for those specs it isnt possible because i have an intel gpu and 8gb ram and not even good specs and get 240 fps in creative and 120 on the game

Im tryna get an MSI gf 63 rtx 3050 for my birthday in september, it should be at least powerful than a ps4 it costs 628 bucks which is with i5 11500H. Ima use nvidia profile inspector to get potato builds and get 400 fps ingame
You will get way better fps than this, my friend has a rtx 3050 8gb ram laptop and he is getting 160+ fps in battleroyale in performance mode, the charger has to be plugged in though.

Laptop for work.. PC for play. Get a cheap chromebook, as small as possible if you only use basic internet functions for work and sometimes need it. But it you are mainly using it at home.... Invest in a great PC.
