The last time i was in Canada fishing i cut my hand on a northern and we were two hours by boat and two hours on a logging road before we hit the main road.
I ended up wrapping my finger up with a bread bag and duct tape and fishing the rest of the week. We drive up there too and my mom was going through menopause and we had no air conditioning in the truck. It was fourteen hours of driving from southern Wisconsin

Wish I would of got my 28” Walleye on video while trolling for Steelhead. Literally told my buddy I got snagged and started turning the boat. Then I realized the line was moving towards the boat. Insane moment. Video and pictures don’t do justice for the size of fish! 🙌🏻

Hey LFG next time you're trying for some walleye highly recommend doing some midnight crankbaiting in shallow water especially if you can do it on a full moon night its a blast its my favorite way to catch walleye as floating at 0.6 mph lindy rigging can get a little boring. Thanks for the awesome northland content hope you catch a 30" + walleye theres nothing like a 10lbs + white tip its amazing

I will take a properly cleaned northern pike over walleye when it comes to eating! Trick is to fold the filet in half the long way and scrub it against itself under running water, do this to both sides. Removes any traces of slime and works out the blood! Trim the Y bones and it is boneless! I just pick them out as I eat!
