Some background info: I did 2 laps back to back prior to this, so my tyres (and brakes) were already overheated. I wanted to just cruise as I was getting used to the car, but then this BMW M2 stayed behind me (see how I indicate and try to let it pass at 0:59), however it decided to stay behind me, so we had some fun. Afterwards we have met each other in the car park and he said that he filmed our lap as well and would send me the footage. It't the first time that we ended up with such a video. Enjoy and don't be too hard on my lines, as said, tyres were done haha DRIVER EXCUSE. The second lap in this vid was there just because, idk, enjoy :)

👍This is a rewatch. From the chase car cam, your tyres were shot at all 4 corners. Lots of ESC on the rear. The other driver is talented as well with a great camera system.

Love the "chase" view! It lets you see just how tail happy the car gets!
The complete lack of introduction threw me a bit, but otherwise, great job playing around with the video format.
As said in pinned comment, getting the chase footage was a chance opportunity. Editing in the instrument dials either side of the bonnet footage is an excellent idea! Took me a while to realise what you had done until the light reflection gave it away.
I would pay extra for every video to have a chase cam like this. Thanks Misha!

You can clearly see the m2 has the edge when it comes to turning into the corner. This is something I found to be the biggest difference between m cars and m lites. The way m cars just bite the road and go at the expense of rear end going loose

f87 was so much more compossed at the high speed bends. Looks like a handfull that g42. You can see why the m cars are so special. Had no bother sitting behind you there. As you mentioned above perhaps it was just the tyres letting out on you. Superb footage and loved the lap from both view points.

It's been said before on this channel, suspension and brakes are the weak points for the M240i but then again that's why it's the "M light". Any recommendations for good suspension and brake mods for this car? BMW or aftermarket parts? Good video, great drive.
I’ve tried to tell people that a nicely setup m240i is very capable. The M2 is a beast stock but a few upgrades on even the last gen m240i(which I own) makes it into the perfect daily & a rocket on the track. Before the market blew up you could get an m240i for 31k here in Chicago.
Agree, I own the new M240i. With modifications to the suspension and brakes ...it would be an extremely, capable track car with nice, daily, creature comforts. Add a Stage 1 tune and game over.
@@jc944t exactly. I upgraded the rotors and pads and added a custom tune with downpipes. Kept the exhaust stock since I have to drive my young daughter around at times. I tend to drive the m240i more than my f80. It’s the total package. I may have to go test drive the new gen when I have a chance. I’m a sucker for the purple m240i lol.

B58 is very capable engine, so I guess 500hp wouldn't be very big problem, MHD stg2/2+ is very close. Probably brakes and suspension would be most expensive here.

I owned a F87 and had the 240i for test driving. I can guarantee you that the M2 will always be faster. Even in rain. It’s lighter, more responsive and overall the better car for a race track.

My old car goes 265, 250 limit is a bullshit 😀
On paper limit is 250 kph but in reality it is usually 263 kph same as the Supra.
