The Tories destroyed the Tory party, get a grip with current affairs David.
Let's remember that the Tory formed a coalition with the Liberals... without it being on the ballot.. ridiculous state of affairs 1:38
@@greatestytcommentator That's ridiculous. That's absolutely how our Parliamentary system works. A coalitoin of parties that can command a majority in Parliament, forming a government is not so very different to what would happen under PR system. There is nothing wrong with it.
The rot started with Theresa May. Brexit means Brexit and hand on heart. Who remembers that?
@@harry3069 "The rot started with Theresa May"
Yes, it did. Hers was also the first British government that routinely lied to Parliament. Remember those 47 sector-by-sector brexit impact reports that went into "excruciating detail" .... and yet apparently never existed when Parliament demanded to see them?
Theresa May's government normalised all the bad behaviours of her successor.
@@tonyb9735 A party that disagrees on everything? Brilliant.

This man is so out of touch, the Tory's destroyed themselves.
And took the rest of us don with them.
This man has no idea what damage the Tory's have done
He has been cushioned from it completely and thinks things aren't that bad.
Tories have set fire to their own house.
No one puts out the fire.
Lord Snooty and charlatan Dave Cameron lit the touch paper.
And, they have provided the petrol.
Yes, but unfortunately that house is a shared accommodation that we all live in.
Sunak and company set fire to their house when they stabbed Boris in the back after partygate. Remember Sunake and others paid a fine, I bet Sunak's bank balance really felt it. What a terrible punishment for partying and lying, as folk were locked down, seperated and dying. Then to make things worse the party make lying Sunak PM 😇
David Davis can't complain - he's been one of the useful fools of the toxic chaos for the last 14 years
Yet another fake right-winger
Self inflicted chaos. Bye bye traitors
Yet you were perfectly happy with them when they were imposing austerity on half the country. So maybe you're a bit of a traitor yourself.
Delusional stuff from Davies
Surprised because he is an intelligent man but on this occasion he just hasn’t got it ! We DONT want massive immigration !
Boomer energy.
I am afraid that Mr Davis, like most of his colleagues, just dont get it. But they will, soon.

'Burn down the golf club' that line shows exactly how Tories see the party, an exclusive club mainly for old boys.
You are out-dated, the Tory Party is now a gay nightclub. If only it were still a solid dependable golf club populated by sensible old colonels.

Reform gifted the Tories an 80 seat majority. The Tories blew it all on Labour policies.
The same people telling you "immigration isn't a big issue and nobody will vote reform" are the same ones that told you nobody would vote to leave the EU!
Immigration isn’t a big issue. The far right have lied and tricked millions into believing that it is. That’s the big issue.
Well we will soon see immigration is a key reason Tories are going to suffer their worst deafest in British history
It's a bit more complicated than that. There were three kinds of people who voted to leave back in 2016: The ones who genuinely hate the EU and want to take GB back to the glory days of their childhoods in the 1950's, there's the ones who hated the Tories (because of the damage caused by six years of austerity) and so wanted to give David Cameron a bloody nose, and then there was those who believed that the unthinkable would never happen and so felt complacent enough to vote to leave for a laugh. BYW, immigration isn't that big of an issue but it is artificially made so by those on the right who want to find convenient scapegoats for decades of failed right wing policies.
David Davis was a prominent Brexiteer. As far as I know, nobody is saying no one will vote for the grifter party, they're saying they won't get enough votes to make the slightest difference to anything. Anyway, Nigel is needed to man the beaches, who else is there to shout at the boats as they cross the channel?
@@jackdubz4247 If immigration is not a big issue then why is a new party like Reform polling 2nd at the moment...that's never been done before
All the tories chickens are coming home to roost all at once and it is a marvellous sight to behold!
There'll be dancing in the street next month, for sure!
Reform do not need the CON Servatives.
I think Reform supporters would be horrified if the Tories tried to join with them. I’m looking to vote Reform to get the damn Tories out!
As a retired special needs teacher I wish I could explain to David (whom I respect) the impact of immigration into our schools. It doesn’t affect most tories because they do not put their kids into state schools so they don’t care. I voted Conservative for the first time but now I don’t know what to do. Immigration disturbs the ethnic balance, turning areas into no go ghettos. Families that lived there for generations are trapped there, due to poverty but find themselves an island in an Islamic community. Their mothers, sister, daughters are intimidated when they go out showing flesh. The schools have a limited special needs budget, but rather than support kids with autism, low ability, dyslexia (remember that their parents pay their taxes) it becomes overburdened with immigrant children needing language provision. The money is eaten up. My son works in the NHS and it is similar there. For tories, who usually have private education and private health care, our concerns do not affect you. This is why Nigel Farage appeals to ordinary people. We don’t live in leafy suburbs, please take note
I do hope that David Davis reads the comments. I think that the conservatives didn’t listen or understand the people who put them in office. I live in Wales and I know it doesn’t matter what I vote, so I am going to vote Reform. It won’t make any difference. But the Tories didn’t listen or understand that the red wall voters wanted to limit immigration, reject woke and didn’t give a toss about ‘green’ issues as we live in terraced houses without any chance of charging electric cars. Do I want a heat pump? No. The Tories embrace BLM, DEI , trans issues, pronouns, LGBT plus and cannot tell what a woman is!!!! We - the voters - want a sense of normality, and the Conservatives have jumped on the bandwagon of what they thought would win them votes AND WE REJECT THEM
Dream on...the Tories don't deserve Farage.
Nigel will Get 17.4 Million votes just like he did in 2016 , The big word here is Brexit and you and Labour messed it up

Will make sure to ask you after the results are in.

He's wrong illegal immigration is the most important thing for most of the population.
All immigration.
It's what made people vote for Brexit
Mass Immigration hasn't worked for the UK in terms of growth (except as measured by mere number of bodies & their consumption); English children are set to be a minority in English schools within 12 years.
The English Nation to be rendered a minority in their homeland of England in mere decades; all Britons to be a minority in the Isles a few short years after that.
When supposed democracy for a people has meant the institutions of power & influence proceed to demographically minoritise native people in their own land with policies that there's no moral right to do them & the policies were never proposed let alone received any mandate, it is useless & we are in an existential situation where self defence moral calculus may well apply.
Legal immigration too
@@hardywatkins7737 the thing about Brexit is the people were misled… European Union was all about trade…. Which is why all the prices went up after we broke off…. They never did anything about immigration, and importantly the mass of illegal immigrants emerging into the society. The crazy woke Ideas being pressed on young schoolchildren, and the totally misled people that are standing up for Islamists, that do not know the meaning of it.
Reform don’t want the Tories they had their chance but are so left
The reason the Tories are horrified at the thought of merging with Reform is class.
The Tories protect the interests of the very rich and old money. Farage is a bourgeois arriviste who went to lowly Dulwich College. Although he banks at Coutts and tries to get membership of the most exclusive clubs and to party with aristos, he bought his own furniture instead of inheriting it. How low class is that?
I've voted Tory almost my entire life and I'm just bewildered and shocked that I now hate them so much I actually want them destroyed. Farage wants a revolt. I want a revolution but will settle for revolt. I'll never vote Tory again. I'll die before I vote Tory. I detest the Labour Party. Labour governments enrage me, but they have never embarrassed me or made me feel ashamed to be British.
I think your analysis falls down when you consider May, Truss and Sunak. None of them are 'old money', I'm not sure Johnson is either.
But the Tories, in my opinion, are in the pocket of business and the mega wealthy, I think the days of feeling ashamed because you live in a bought house are long gone.
Nigel is respected by many modern Tories but the modernisers, the _real_ arrivistes into the Conservative Party ( urban, authoritarian Social Liberals) hate the kind of old fashioned, patriotic Britain Nigel represents.
@@mesolithicman164Spot on 👍
Nice one, John!
This is the main problem with the British right, the Tories are the party of the woke upper class, not actual right wing principles.
They'd rather have a globalist aristocrat than a patriotic plumber in Parliament.
I hope they are horrified, as a Reform member I don't want to merge with the Tories, the Tories are finished and its all their own fault.
Let the Conservative party be consigned to history after the last 14 years
And Labour.
David Davis, who made an absolute mess of being Brexit secretary, doesnt have anything to say that anybody wants to listen to.
Disagree. we should listen to him and then make our decision. That is what has gone wrong with both the Tory and in the near future, the Labour parties. They make decisions on what they think, without listening to the people they are supposed to be representing, mistakenly thinking or assuming they know better. A plague on both their houses.
I’m leaving conservatives as they no longer represent right wing voters and now voting reform I don’t want a merge I want fresh and new and to not be held back by apologetic left wing conservatives.
Here here.
Immigration is the top priority …need to listen to the UK people
Why on earth would Reform want to board the Tory sinking ship ? Bye bye Tories , the party is over .
Yeah, its stubborn tory tribal voters that are blocking Reform from beating Labour now.
David Davis is a disgrace and completely clueless.
No good him moaning, they had a good run before we realised their game. Reform only.
The sequencing of the Brexit negotiations dramatically weakened the UK’s position. This guy said it would be row of the summer in 2017, whereas the UK just folded.

Vote for Reform. Vote for Nigel Farage ❤
Reform shouldn't trust anyone from Tories. Reform needs young, fresh blood entrepreneurs who's passionate and determined to turn things around.
Of course it's about immigration - because that impacts housing, infrastructure, wages, the environment and societal unrest.
Exactly, how people say immigration isnt a big issue, the NHS is, how does thousands of more people every year help the NHS cope, immigrants get sick too and age eventually, as well as need dental care, housing, school places etc etc etc. The best place to start is reducing the flippin demand, so obvious!
All WEF Tory Judas must go. They must never taint our politics again. Vote Reform!
Never, in a million years, would I vote Reform. At best, they're just another string on the old busted fiddle; at worst, they're a privately-owned business run by a power-hungry demagogue.
Davis said the same thing as my new Tory candidate, that we will vote for them anyway. We are not coming back.
If only davis had followed his natural vocation and become a time share salesman, the country would be so much better. What a gasbag.
Never in a million years would I expect REFORM UK to join hands with the Conservative Party

6:29 Davis sped up so fast when he called Rwanda a safe country. I suspect he was moving on quickly so as to not be challenged.
David Davis rocked up in Brussels on day one of the exit negotiations and agreed to their timetable and then said it wasn't important, that was so infuriating to me... basically we capitulated and I think they were genuinely shocked how easy we made it for them.
I know it was a photo opportunity but remember Barnier's team had piles of documents and our team had a notepad and pencil (to jot down their instructions I presume..)
Davis, one of those who could not acknowledge that a country could not simultaneously be outside the single market and a beneficiary of the single market. In the same way, they could not accept the limits dictated by the GFA. Subsequent bad faith actions on the part of the British government vindicated Brussel's insistence on a sequential approach to negotiations. Leave or remain, our country's reputation for diplomacy and respect for international law was tarnished. That was all on our government.
@@mikepost8965 David Davis was terrible at his job so I commented why I thought so, I wasn't expecting some tedious BDS sufferer to latch on but I suppose this is "Times Radio" I guess it's your natural home.
Oh, are they the same limits dictated by the GFA that we suddenly found could be amended when brown people were crossing the from the north to camp in Dublin...
What exactly has our "reputation for diplomacy" done for us, we are despised for being the creator of Israel (when people googled it and found out) along with all our other more recent great diplomacy in the Middle East.
Seeing the international law we were breaking referred to the GFA maybe it wasn't such a big deal after all.
The only bad faith was on the EU side, once they had control of the timetable they were free to do what they liked whilst telling us "the clock is ticking", knowing their friends in the UK were still using every legal means necessary to delay the process.
