There is more than just one type of cotton, there is cheap cotton, good cotton/Pima cotton, Egyptian Cotton Asiatic Cotton, American Upland cotton. Pima and Egyptian being the premium cottons, then there are different weaves of cotton fabrics and if you have a 'non-iron' dress shirt, it is treated with formaldehyde. Polyester is a cheap material made from petroleum.
I have found that 60% cotton 40% polyester has the best fit and longevity for dad bods. 100% cotton loses its shape after 5 minutes. And triblends are too short and shrink even further after being washed
im going with Polyester it fits better doesnt wrinkle and color tees dont fade the pretty much keep their color unlike other material that fades out quickly
Good idea, but quite lousy "wear feel" test. Proper test should have included wearing the shirts for a few hours in different conditions, for example go walk in sunny weather sun to sweat a bit and see how it dissipates moisture or sit in a chilly room and see how much the shirt worms you up.
This is not a good comparison because the Bella Canvas triblend is a lot more expensive than the others (I don't know about the A4). Some 50/50 shirts are soft and others are really scratchy; the bella canvas 50/50 is softer and a hair more expensive than their cotton shirt.
Short recommendation looking heavyweight (at least 6oz) t short but quick dry. I love Shaka brand shirts, but 100% cotton and if you sweat or rain it takes forever to dry.
Hello, I am also located in pa and I’m just starting my business in t-shirts and mugs. What do you recommend for sublimation in weight and poly percentage?
I love to wear polyester shirts, over time after washing and drying cotton shirts start to loose their shape and look old and faded, polyester retains its new look for a longer period of time. Also it doesn't feel as hot as cotton, I tried riding my motorcycle with both and cotton absorbs sweat like a bitch.
Which one will last longer? Does the polycotton blend end up with more pilling? What happens when the synthetic fiber rubs against the organic fiber? The organic fiber is going to pill, no?
Polyester no Brainer for me. It keeps its shape if you sweat. I can't stand other blends cause the neck always stretches and looks sloppy. The only downside to polyester is it's shiny.
Your comment is 2 years old, but want to reply anyway. I use a polyester, microfiber camping type towel to dry off from the shower every day. They started to stink despite using Tide and changing out a towel every 3 days. The smell became so bad that the smell transferred to my hair when I dried off. I began washing them with the whites, which are bleached. It took about 3 washes to completely eliminate the odor, but now no smell. The color stayed, too.
Has anyone ever tried to sleep on polyester bed sheets. No. You sleep on cotton bed sheets. Cotton has many different qualities. The worst cotton is as bad as polyester but the best cotton is 1000% better than polyester.
What about a fire test? If you start on fire when having a nap for example. Would it be better to burn in a cotton shirt? will this be in your dangerous damage test? I would think the plastic shirt would melt in to my skin and keep burning deeper? Please set your test tees on fire for science
I'm glad I had the patience today to finish this good video coz you were too much in the beginning. I got something out of it much appreciate it and tune it down next time. peace.
Polyester is a plastic bag, it’s not really a fabric. Polyester dries quick because it’s not actually getting wet. The water is just on it. Cotton is absorbent. So your choices are to put a plastic garbage bag on your body and let all the moisture off your skin get stuck under it, or go with cotton where it will absorb the moisture and allow it to evaporate away. Synthetics are the clothing industries scam to sell us cheap crap and make it seem like we are getting something good. The only shirt in your list that should be worn is the cotton one. It’s the only one that will wick moisture, won’t trap sweat and toxins all over your body, and won’t be found 12,000 years from now in the ocean.
I'm looking into starting a clothing line and I was wondering what blend or material is good for a dri fit material? I'm looking for one like the Salt Life performance long sleeves
I can say without even watch the video, 100% cotton is the only way to go. Better for the skin and for the planet! The problem when ordering online is that you don't know if it's thin or thicker cotton. The thin ones tend to deform easily.
So much better than the standard pros/cons tables. Love the humor.

It also doesn't breathe well at all. Cotton does and cotton gets softer the more it's worn and washed.
Hey guys so if i want to buy white or black solid tshirt so should I go for pima cotton or what? Any suggestions
I have found that 60% cotton 40% polyester has the best fit and longevity for dad bods. 100% cotton loses its shape after 5 minutes. And triblends are too short and shrink even further after being washed

brah a bag has same properties
This video is fantastic!! You nailed everything I wanted to know and it was enjoyable to watch! Well done guys!
So much effort went into this, thank you guys
My favorite comment...'Science is all about opinions' Looking forward to the next edition. Too much ink on polyester or tri-blend is no bueno.
lol no its not. Its about testing hypothesises to find out weather it is fact or not.
@@Turnpost2552 so which is best for a long time use?
Good idea, but quite lousy "wear feel" test. Proper test should have included wearing the shirts for a few hours in different conditions, for example go walk in sunny weather sun to sweat a bit and see how it dissipates moisture or sit in a chilly room and see how much the shirt worms you up.
nah. everyone knows 100 percent polyester doesn't feel like your are walking around in a plastic bag the second you start sweating.
I just gotta say this was amazing. Thank you for making this! You guys are great!🎉
This guys must be in the pocket of big tri-blend!
This is not a good comparison because the Bella Canvas triblend is a lot more expensive than the others (I don't know about the A4). Some 50/50 shirts are soft and others are really scratchy; the bella canvas 50/50 is softer and a hair more expensive than their cotton shirt.
this video was seriously hugely helpful ha you may have just helped me pick my forever t-shirt

Thank you for the video. The humor helps!
Short recommendation looking heavyweight (at least 6oz) t short but quick dry. I love Shaka brand shirts, but 100% cotton and if you sweat or rain it takes forever to dry.
Wonder how the tests go with a print on them
Seems true blend is best
Fun video but really helpful. Thanks. Going to the 2nd part
Can you please tell me what was the percentage of composition in tri blend ?
🔥 DOPE VIDEO 💣💥 This information was so necessary.

Wow great production guys hahah

Bitches absorbs sweat?
I prefer Polyester but have to switch cause my shirts have way too much static
*lose their shape not "loose"
Great analysis thankyou for great information and make America and India great again
This is amazing. Thanks guys ❤️
If you want a long lasting shirt go for Poly…
How about Merino Wool and Bamboo T-shirts ???
😷✌🙏
Merino wool is much better for not smelling but bamboo is more durable
50/50 feels hot in the hot sun. But worst in sun may be heavy cotton.
what about 80 cotton and 20 poly. is that good for dtg?
Very well made video. Keep it up
Thankz for this vid, such a helpful one ❤❤
which is better?
Which one will last longer? Does the polycotton blend end up with more pilling? What happens when the synthetic fiber rubs against the organic fiber? The organic fiber is going to pill, no?
Test begins at 2:12
Which is better among cotton and cotton blend t-shirt
great breakdown, extremely helpful
Great video. Next time include wool 🤨🤔
hi thanks for this information i really appreciate you guys i am waiting for more videos to come from your side i subscribed your channel as well
Hi, do you know what is the weight of the tri-blends? How many gsm?
Polyester no Brainer for me. It keeps its shape if you sweat. I can't stand other blends cause the neck always stretches and looks sloppy. The only downside to polyester is it's shiny.
And it also has the benefit of being a literal plastic bag.
I have 100 %polyester shirts and i cant get smell out of them and i want to ask is this blend also catches armpit smell or i can easily get rid of if?
Shower in the morning

Super informative in a super funny way!
Good editing

What shirt do you recommend to sub on without bleach? The 50/50 or Triblend?
What’s the point if you didn’t even mention what tee brand these shirts are?
When is part 2 gonna be uploaded???
Monday!
I laughed way to hard at the testes joke💀💀💀
Bro recently I was buy Nike jogger cotton+polyster+rayon mix fabric jogger I have a doubt on that tri blend is it good for summer session or not ???
‘Science is all about opinions’ - Imri, 2020

A video that can take 2 mins you’ve wasted doing a 10 mins video
Ah, the testes.
Science is about opinion?...hahhaa funny😊.
These days it is...
I feel like you used higher end brands for all the t-shirts except the 50/50, which was a lower end. Not really fair. Should have used the same brand.
I'm looking into starting a clothing line and I was wondering what blend or material is good for a dri fit material? I'm looking for one like the Salt Life performance long sleeves
Best bet is asking that Salt life company what material they use
Test Tees LOL

But it 100% cotton lacks any stretch and not moisture wicking ?
100% cotton is the only way to go. The rest are just garbage shirts
👍
i hear poly is causing health problems in childrens clothes
