    Well I would like to buy but the NS3 is now out for four years already, any update when a potential NS4 will be released?

      Hello Silverway Music! You are correct, it has been around the 4 year mark and typically Winter NAMM (traditionally held in Jan of every year) would have manufucturer's like Nord/Clavia make announcements at the time of NAMM. However in 2022, NAMM is in June instead of Jan. So, it's difficult to predict exactly what is going to happen. Unfortunatelly, as much as this channel is oriented around the Nord brand, I don't have a direct relationship to know what is going on. So, like you, it's all pure speculation at this point. Based on history however, it feels like we are getting close. If you are not in a complete hurry, you could wait to see what happens in Jan 2022 and a release of something new. And if something did release, I wonder if it would be a Nord Stage 4 or if it would be more like a Stage 3 EX or something. Any announcement that happens, I'm sure I'll be posting about it here. Best of luck with your decision. (On a positive side note, the value of these boards seem to hold really well across the years so trading up when the time comes could be an option).

      @@MyKeysToMusic Many thanks for your fast reply. I am currently looking for a new stage piano and am very intrigued by the new Nord Piano 5 and it’s new capabilities. But then you can do so much more with the NS3 :-), so I don’t really know what to do. On the other hand in the past I had several Workstations (Roland Fantom 8 lately) but I sold it because the sheer amount of capabilities overwhelmed me and I was constantly tweaking sounds or doing other crazy things but did not really make music anymore. So maybe the simpler Nord Piano 5 is the better choice. Thanks for your great channel and content, subscribed !

      @@TheSouthernAccent The Nord Piano 5 is going to be a slam dunk to use compared to any workstation. It will be far more limited in overall features, but if you're mostly interested in performing and not so much composition, arranging and such, then getting a non-workstation (like the Piano 5) may be a good choice. I think the Stage 3/4 will also be a good choice.

    Hi Marc! A new fan of your channel from France.
    I just purchased a Nord Stage 4 and the first thing I tried - and it took me a while - was to try to find the settings to play "Won't get fooled again" but unfortunately without success! Do you have any idea how to achieve this?
    Thanks a lot. Marcel

    Thanks for the great buyers guide, Marc! One question I had as I was looking at the Electro 6 HP vs the Electro 6D 73. Both are listed as 73 keys. But the keyrange for the HP is from E-C, while the keyrange for the 6D is E-E. Is one of those keyranges incorrect?

      Hi Paul, this is now fixed. All the Electros show the proper key range. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

    Hi Marc ! I always enjoy your videos and watch them as soon as I'm notified. For he comparison-chart : As more models enter the mix maybe it's an idea to be able to toggle certain columns off or on ? That way it's possible to narrow down the choices. Another thing I once started to gather was all the organ settings from different models (C-series, Electro-series and Stage-series). I've got the NS3-88 from the get go and wondered what was implemented from the C2D. It takes a lot of manual-diving but might be interesting to ppl. too. Keep up the good work !

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  4 роки тому

      Hi Richard! So, first, thank you for watching my videos! I'm going to put some thought on the best way to compare two columns to narrow down the choices. All the data is in a database file now (FileMaker), so it's just a matter of the best way to get it on the web and configurable. Regarding the organ settings - I could do the Stage 3 and Electro 6. I'd have to locate a C2D or have someone else provide those. I assume by organ settings you are talking about things like the ability to adjust Leslie rotary speed and stuff like that right?

    • @RichardGelderblom
      @RichardGelderblom 4 роки тому +1

      @@MyKeysToMusic Yes, it's indeed about the options for organ. I did the comparison by reading the manuals and comparing the options. Since I also don't have an Electro nor C2(D) that was the only way for me. Also for the comparison-chart : in case of the NS3 the only real differences are in the physical world (keybed, dimensions etc.) but the functionalities are identical. That will probably be the same for the Electro versions. So maybe there's a way to 'simplify' the comparison as it doesn't really add anything useful by comparing the three NS3 versions. Nevertheless I think you're doing us a great service with this while it should have been Clavia to provide a chart like you're compiling now. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch, your way of presenting them and going into the nitty-gritty is very well done. I always learn a new bit of am reminded of some functionality although I've been a Stage user since the NS1 classic. Keep it up, I think you're doing a great service to the Nord masses !

      @@RichardGelderblom Many thanks Richard for your kind words. If I manage to find a feasible way to do a side comparison chart (user selectable), I'll be sure to post back to this comment here with an update.

    Hi Marc, is it possible to make a free donation in stead of becoming a patreon? You are doing a great job with your videos. Maybe an idea to create an opportunity for people who like to contribute once.

      Cees! Great idea and one that I've wanted for a while now. Patreon is not friendly to one-time donations so I think I need something else for this. And I think the majority of people would prefer a one-time donation from time to time instead of a monthly one.
