No-Hit Vengeance Route (World's first) - Undertale Yellow

- First documented no-hit run of this route, as far as I'm aware.
(Oh my lord remind me to increase the bitrate next time this looks so weird in some spots)
As stupid as pulling off this challenge is, I'm honestly surprised that some experienced no-hitter hadn't done this challenge before because besides Snowdin (and the Dunes to an extent because of the dunebud XP grind), it's not as much of a drag as you'd expect!
It helps a lot that the boss battles are super fun to learn and practice, and while you do need some luck (with zenith martlet, but also with snowdin enemy encounters funny enough), the fights in this route are not nearly as luck based as some people make them out to be (I'm looking at you, past me...)
Two out of three of the hardest fights - Ceroba and Axis - are 100% consistent, and so is Zenith Martlet's second phase, with the first phase needing a small bit of luck to not roll the wing gust attack, which I had a 50% fail rate on after practicing it for literal hours. Still, the boss fights never got old, and it led to me overpracticing the absolute crap out of Zenith Martlet to the point I managed to do her fight first try on a full run!
That said, practicing fights to be able to no-hit them as consistently as possible is extremely difficult with what the game provides you with. If you want to give no-hitting this whole route a try, you will have to install a practice mod if you want to practice the fights as painlessly as possible (Axis's final attack made me realize that lmao). Being able to start/restart battles instantly, control which attacks the enemy uses next repeatedly and such are ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL tools for learning some of the fights efficiently. In my case, I had a separate UTY copy that I modded myself to include what I needed to learn and master the fights fast, but Keucher's practice mod used by speedrunners, despite being focused on speedrunning, should have most of what you need. This final run was done on vanilla UTY just to be safe though, since modding anything can break something that's seemingly completely unrelated.
If you want to use the practice mod I made, it is now publicly available for download:
gamebanana.com/mods/565932
I might make a guide on how to dodge all the enemies and bosses sometime soon, cuz there's some highly specific strats I made use of, but here's a few examples:
Getting to LV 11 pre-Ceroba by going after Dunebuds (which give a LOT of XP) and skipping the super tough phase 2 black hole attack.
Zenith phase 1 feather circle attack: Shooting out the inner feather ring by timing the soul shots. Since both rings have a medium-sized delay between shots but act independently of each other, eliminating most if not all of one of the rings means you can comfortably dash through the feather bursts without having to worry about multiple of them overlapping on each other.
The Snowdin and Dunes segment is pretty boring to watch so feel free to skip to the boss fights if you value your time.
Btw shoutouts to the enter key display I accidentally left highlighted oops LOL

So that it becomes china mods?
Is this referencing smth im rly curious
Undertale Yellow Brutal Mode.
Y’know, I'm generally of the mindset you can do anything you set your mind to, but the absolute INHUMAN part of this equation to me is NOT the achievement itself, it's why someone would WANT to do this. The sheer amount of PATIENCE it would take to get to the point of being ABLE to do this, like I'd never want to LOOK at this game again if I spent THIS long continuously grinding for months on the same exact sections, with uncountable failures, I feel like I COULD do it (eventually) if I truely wanted to, but going the whole game without a single mistake just sounds soul-crushingly unfun and stressful to me.
But yeah, if you couldn't tell, this is my really roundabout way of congratulating you on this craziness, maybe get to work on dodging rain for your next big record! :p
LMAO thank you!!
Having a good mindset is immensely important for any long-term grind like this, and especially when there's some amount of luck involved, you have to learn not just maximizing your consistency as much as possible with any and all tiny tricks you can think of, but at the same time you just need to learn to accept anything the game throws at you, and not rush yourself.
There was one point I got pretty frustrated with these runs, and it was specifically when I lost 6 consecutive runs to Snowdin Martlet's weird floating feathers that randomly split into three more (I never got fully consistent at that attack lmao). Honestly Snowdin as a whole was my least favourite part because pretty much all of the regular enemies (except for Trihectas) could put you into really dangerous situations by bad chance.
hello, peak department? you’re not gonna believe this one.
this is actually crazy
when i did the first zenith nohit, i thought no one would do a full run because of how long it takes, the skill, the rng, and the fact that you will just lose the run if you get the wind attack in zeniths phase 1. some of the top players didnt even consider no hitting zenith both phases in one run due to how bad it can be. i did try doing this, but quit after reaching ceroba, and having a few runs end in snowdin encounters.
you truly are, the undertale yellow vengeance route no hit. 🔥
I really appreciate seeing you, the original zenith no-hitter, showing up here :D
Thanks!!
Clover goes through a rampage in the Underground and avoids getting hit by Vampires, Foxes, Robots, and a very angry bird. 10/10
How? I can understand almost every boss but no hitting axis is insane. This man needs to be studied.
What’s even more impressive is asgore
@ don’t forget Flowey
@@Aegistab That final took me so, so long to get consistent at, it was such a stupid attack to learn LOL
@@BrutalSword I tried to no hit axis and rage quit because I got stuck on his last attack.
@@Aegistab Yeah I don't blame ya, that attack is what forced me to start using practice tools if I wanted to actually learn the attack without having to wait 10 turns for axis to use that attack then restarting the game.
That's super awesome to finally see
I was considering doing this at some point when I had the motivation to do another full game no hit run
GG!
Go for it if you want to! I might make a guide soon on how to do this route as best as possible, but definetly find a practice mod that allows for starting battles instantly and forcing certain attacks to play out if you want to build consistency on the fights as fast as possible.
God has a prepared and special present for you in Heaven fella... Oh my God, you are amazing, a true living legend!!!

I always enjoy seeing no-hit Martlets, and here you are no hitting the entire run. This run is the best kind of madness.
:3
You are literally insane, just really amazing job i Hope The devs see It sometime It really is a incredible achivement.
Huge GG
Thanks for the GGs :3
Bro Clover got that Ultra Instinct!!
To be serious though, this is probably one of the most impressive things I've seen, like ever. I could never even dream of being this good at the game, I haven't even beat Zenith Martlet without Easy Mode yet, (which isn't the fight being bullshit, I'm just bad at the game.) so like, amazing job, this is so impressive. You are so talented.
Thank you so much :)
POV: Clover enters the underground but breaks a leg and is now weak as glass:
Oh wow, fantastic job! Love this game and route, am glad you did it justice (pun not intended… initially at least). Also always good to not get the “random bullshit go” attack in Zenith, unfortunate to hear that that attack was never able to have a consistent strat be found.
Yeah imma be honest it feels a bit wrong to get quite literally the best possible luck I could ask for, never getting that attack and only getting the feather circles once, but I'm glad it's done lmao
Huge GG for this. It was always possible but also extremely difficult and intimidating. Doing Martlrt 1hour 25 minutes has gotta be insane, hats off, really
Thank you very much!
oh my goodness this is absolutely AMAZING. i really hope this blows up, you deserve so much more recognition for this holy crap
Just watching you nohit Ceroba and Axis's atacks was gutwrenching. But Martlet Xenith's attacks are so beyond the pale that I couldn't envision myself doing it and thus did not have that reaction.
Absolutely insane! Congratulations!! 🎉🔥
Insert obligatory merg reference here
Also the fact that you no hit the air particles is insane. Especially Asgore!!1! Gg.

Genuinely an insane achievement! Great job, can't even the amount of time it took to get a run going this far!

Absolutely insane achievement. I'm literally out of words. Also nice strat for martlet phase 1 feathers circles.
Absolute peak good job!
Your not all bad, at least you spared the balloon.
Just a day ago I was wondering if someone's gonna no hit the game, congratulations bro
Thanks :3
the input viewer layout is really nice
Thanks, I made it manually in NohBoard and it was surprisingly tedious to move around each button 😭
Aww, you beat me to it by a little bit. I only needed 1755 more years to achieve the same thing.
😭
Thats gonna take me beyond infinity eras bro
@@BrutalSword no but fr, I couldn't even beat Martler without healing, no damage is pretty insane.
A fun bit not really hard challenge I did complete however was beating her stage 2 without shooting. Usually it's the main source of damage, but if you have to attack to damage her it creates some interesting decision on when you heal vs when you attack. Also dodging the box wide meteor attack by invis frame dash timing is also cool :D
@@MilesProwerUA No shooting sounds like an fun twist for phase 2, definetly would make dodging the block attacks harder.
And yeah, trying to clear out every single meteor can be a bit rough if your aim is off at any point, so I opted to dash through the impact flashes instead, and it also allows me to get a bit more damage in with big laser shots.
@BrutalSword pretty sure some block attacks are undodgable, but never to the point that they can 100 to 0 you in 1 attack, but that's also part of the challenge, you need to manage heal right after them, and then keep the pressure on with attacks :>
I did not discover the flash dash before doing the no shoot run so rip me ig
That's insane. Amazing job!

really great job, i've been working on trying to do this off and on for a while now but axis always takes me out LOL, my record was his last attack (the one with the blue laser and the orb screw that attack)
Thank you! :)
Axis' final attack for me was what made me develop a mod for the game that allows for practicing enemies and attacks freely, which is a mod I've recently released on gamebanana in hopes it helps other no hitters just as much as it helped me.
I'll link it here in case you're thinking of attempting a major no hit run again.
gamebanana.com/mods/565932
I really recommend just sitting down and practicing axis' final attack over and over again, because it does eventually get pretty consistent after you play it for like 30 minutes but it is still very difficult to execute.
GG peak clover activity

that would be 600 away but that's still cool
i know for a FACT axis's last attack had to have been hot ass to no-hit. INSANE accomplishment, though! GG! now go regain ur sanity :)
Oh, neat, that route is really difficult.
At 1:31:45 I'm pretty sure I've seen people charge while they go around, to have extra moments to use the blast.
Was it too risky, or am I missing something ?
You can absolutely shoot at martlet during that, correct, I just choose not to because I need to focus on dodging that attack. I know when to shoot during most attacks, but that's not one of them, but I never really felt the need to since I'm not focused on speedrunning the fights.
This guy deserve a lot more views than this W video btw!
I wasn't expecting this considering how unbalanced uty is.
I expected uty pacifist no hit first tbh.
Either way congratulations to you for doing these crazy achievements.
I want to ask you few things:
• When did you start practicing for this challenge? Your Zenith no hit video was uploaded 6 months ago so you spent 6 months to achieve this or less time?
•Please make a guide because probably you found some strats that we don't know.
•Have you done other ut/dr challenges before Zenith Martlet and UTY no hit?
•Would you like to join in a server focused on ut and dr challenges?
Thanks!
I have yet to try pacifist in depth but if the feisty four and ceroba are anything to go off of it seems like it'd be more rng heavy.
As for the questions:
1) I think I started going for this challenge seriously in September which would make it about 3 months to do but I didn't track when I actually started, only that I started going for this after I started getting super consistent at Axis. So between 3 and 4 months, but I believe a good player could do it in less than a month if they practiced non-stop, since I played very on-and-off.
2) I have pretty much no experience making an actual scripted video, let alone a guide, but I definetly want to give it a shot. I'll try to not get lazy lol.
3) While I've done several challenges across multiple games, I've only done a No-Hit of Jevil in Deltarune and nothing in Undertale (maybe I'll look into UT stuff in the future, idk).
4) Sure! Sounds like a cool place. Discord username is "brutalsword" if you want to invite me, though keep in mind I'd likely be very inactive since I'm not all that involved with the UT/DR communities and I don't actually do challenge runs all that actively, but just whenever I feel like it.
Are you mentally okay after this...?
Either ways GG, I didn't think this was going to happen for a few years yet but here we are
Thank you!!
Thankfully I did enjoy my practice sessions for the bosses a lot so this was a fun grind to do on and off.
I didn't expect this to be a first in the world because this route is not as luck based as it may seem at first, but hey I'll take it LOL
(Though GL practicing the fights efficiently without practice tool mods lol)
@@BrutalSword You're a legendary figure in the UT community now :)
Having this as your first full game run and a first ever achievement is something that only few can accomplish
I can forgive the ceroba murder because damn, my aspiring no-hitter side is very impressed! Now i know this is doable, its gonna be motivation for me lol

@@BrutalSword :3
I guess all the Insomnitots were just too cute for you to kill them
The enemies I fled either have attacks I can't dodge consistently or give too little EXP, the Insomnitots were the latter. My strategy was to reach LV 11 before Ceroba so that I could kill her before she pulls out the phase 2 black hole flower attack, most EXP was gained through Dunebuds which give far more than any other Dunes enemy.
Wow. This is amazing
Damn, GG. That is so flipping impressive, I didn't even imagine it possible lol. Although I have a question, how'd you get to 1HP entering Dunes? Is it the fall?
Thank you!!
And yep, the raft fall forces you to 1 HP regardless of your route! Most people don't notice because you just heal off the save point right away.
@@BrutalSword Ah, thanks! I also assumed an increase of max HP also increased your current HP by that number lol, but apparently not. Huge GGs once again!
People are talking about martlet but Axis' last attack is just ridiculous.

This is an incredible achievement that is achieved only by a few, although it seems to me that you are the only one who has been able to pass this.
And I have a question, why did you avoid the Sleepless Hares (I forgot their names) in Snowdin?
Insomnitots give the least EXP of any enemy in Snowdin, I try to go for higher EXP enemies (especially in the Dunes) so that I can reach LV 11 before fighting Ceroba, because then I'm able to kill her before she's able to use the really hard phase 2 version of the black hole attack

are you even real oh my god
Didn't even know that the raft crash makes you lose hp lmao
Yea, it sets you down to 1 hp and I thought avoiding save heals would be funnier for this run so that I could stay within instakill range up until the Axis scene lmao
Wow you're insane bro how the heck do you do Axis AND Martlet back to back when one fail equal 1 hour to get back... Also what was actually going through the devs heads when they made the Axis final attack. Like in game it's unironically just an hp check to see if you're hp is high enough during the last attack because unless someone's a pro like you, it's undodgeable and you're gonna take 20-30dmg.
It's a hilarious attack in casual playthroughs for sure.
Thankfully, Geno Axis has basically 0 RNG, and the attacks with randomness (triple rotating cannons and red flashing cannons) can be reacted to pretty well. The final attack is extremely difficult to learn but after enough time you can also pull it off hitless almost every time.
It's an extremely fun fight once you master it, which helped for a full route no hit, I think.
How much time you spent practicing to no-hit UTY genocide? I'm wondering. This is impressive
I spent more time practicing the all the fights than actually doing runs. For practicing the bosses, it was very important to use practice tools which allowed me to quickly start battles with selected enemies and force specific attacks to play repeatedly. I think I started going for this seriously in September which would make it 3 months, but I started doing insividual fight no hits earlier than that.
this is insane as fuck! gg my dude

There was a single column of pixels left on the health bar so she still had a bit of health. Even then, I don't think the game even allows Martlet to drop to 0 hp anyway.
I know there's unused dialogue if you somehow manage to deal enough damage that would theoretically kill her, but as far as I can tell, that's impossible to achieve without modifying your stats.
