*Reminiscing.* I couldn't fit in every game that makes me nostalgic (Tony Hawk, Harry Potter, etc), but I wanted to showcase just a handful and the easter eggs I remember finding in them. I hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane!
I was watching this wondering if you would ever get sick of making content for this channel/want to make more things unrelated to easter eggs and was gonna write a comment about you a making a second channel to upload whatever and lo and behold; there it is. Excited to see stuff on there!
I remember finding this channel when I was a little kid, thinking "I can't believe games could have things like this", ever since then I've been so intrigued by Easter eggs and this channel has always been one of my favorites since day one, thank you Guru.
Same! I first watched his videos when I was much younger, around 2013, and was mind blown. To think that one day Guru would actually make a video based on something I made (the RDR2 iceberg) is crazy! Been here for almost 10 years now
Love how you used the iconic "Herobrine" seed. That's one of my earliest UA-cam memories. Also the Mirror's Edge rat was the first Easter Egg I ever saw for myself in a videogame. Good times!
mirrors edge was also the first game where i actually saw the easter eggs while playing, it's a totally different experience from just watching it on youtube and feels weirdly surreal
0:39 my God. I had no idea how the sound of that kid losing his baloon was a core memory that unlocked in my mind. Man that brought me back to playing this game with my brothers as an experience of passing the controller back and forth every 30 minutes
Love how you not only had the exact spot where the "Herobrine first spotting", you also sneak a herobrine there, Love it! Edit: I also noticed that you tried to recreate the Encounters with short distance rendering as well.
Your rat Easter egg from Mirror’s Edge is what really got me into Easter Eggs everyday I’d look forward for more videos from you and see what more secrets were hidden in these games I loved, every game I ever got I always looked up secrets in the games because I was inspired by you thank you for making these videos and giving me more excitement for kid me :)
Those memory card logos weirdly made me more nostalgic than the games. I really wanted to show them in some way, so I'm glad someone else feels that way about them.
@@FunWithGuru There's something about booting up your PS2 again after a long time of it sitting in the closet, going to your save games and seeing saves of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game, Guitar Hero III, many others, just sitting there
Guru, you almost made me cry. The heart in the statue of liberty in GTA IV, the family of monkeys in Halo 3 and by God, the giant rat in Mirror's Edge, were my first approaches to easter eggs, and this last one meant my discovery of your channel. It feels strange to think that one can grow along with an anonymous person on the internet, I mean I don't know anything about you or your life but I do know that when I saw your first video I was around 12 or 13 years old and I was in school , and today I'm 22 and I'm about to get a college degree. I love knowing that I can still watch your content after so long as an anchor to the past (in a good way), a place where I can return to connect with that child who liked to enjoy the experience of playing a video game to the point that he spent his nights awake to find hidden messages or secrets that usually meant nothing but, were still part of that innocent illusion. I really hope you keep creating. I can't wait to see what you surprise us with. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
The GTA IV heart and the Faces on the monkeys were the two that I immediately thought of from back in the day when I first got my Xbox 360 in 2008. And seeing you throwback to your first video with the Mirror's Edge one was honestly adorable. Gotta give you props I have no clue how you can make easter eggs showcases so relaxing and aesthetic.
The Arkham City easter egg series by Batman Arkham Videos is a particularly special point of nostalgia for me. That game had some ominous easter eggs that definitely spooked younger me.
I thought you were about to show yourself, walking up to the L4D jukebox and getting the Portal music first try, that would have been a sight! Great video, Guru.
The amount of nostalgia the Spiderman 2 clip gave me was insane, hearing "Oh no my balloon!" while webslinging around a map that looked 100x better as a kid was insane, hit directly in the feels :')
The jukebox one always has been my favorite. Valves little details like that made their games so brilliant. Wish they’d make games consistently though.
A flood of nostalgia seeing the memory card screen! I remember my first ever Easter was Tony Hawks Underground 2 star wars kid Watching your videos has always been a Joy. When major new game would come out I'd always wait in anticipation for a Guru video showcasing its eatereggs. Having not watched he'd your videos in a while this was wonderful to see pop up!
Your videos make me nostalgic, I remember finding your channel back when the ps3 and Xbox 360 were the latest consoles. To this day whenever I see a new upload from you I get a brief feeling of being in middle school excitedly talking about your findings with my friends.
The fact that I could almost immediately tell which Easter Eggs he was gonna talk about the moment I saw what game was next just shows that we all feel the same nostalgia. I will never get tired of this content you produce, and hope to see more of your fantastic editing!
I got major goosebumps when I saw the mirrors edge Easter egg pop up, one of the first I’ve seen from you and what got me so interested in your channel. It’s so cool seeing how you were able to keep it up all these years
Seeing the Halo Monkey men really makes me feel old. Hell it almost always gives me a heavy feeling in my heart cause it was the first easter egg young me had ever found without looking online, only to show my father just how weird it was. He laughed it off and wasn't really interested but it was one of the few times I got to sit with my dad while showing him something I love. He's not here anymore, and Halo 3 is 15 years old... I'm 24, and things aren't as sunshine and rainbows as they were back in 2007. I miss the times.
I really love this channel The way you shows the Easter Eggs, focusing in the sound ambience and immersion really gets into me Thank you for te amazing feelings you always give to me. Oh, and Herobrine in the left corner on the Herobrine's seed.. nice
Most of these give me nostalgia about your channel since i didnt have alot of these games growing up,i remember binge watching all your videos especially the creepy easteregg ones and being really frightened by the monkey family in halo or the heart in the liberty lady, still watching all these years
I feel very nostalgic when I think about how these years have passed and how this channel has grown. When I saw the Mirror's Edge Rat Easter Egg I smiled remembering when I saw one of those early videos of yours. Many years following you and I wish there are many more, thank you very much Guru. I have watched hours and hours of your content and I’ve enjoyed every single minute. The nostalgia of old video games hit different. Keep up the great work ❤️
Man... That mirror's edge rat takes me back. This was a lovely little video man, glad to have stuck around this long. You rock and I can't wait to see what your videos in your new channel will be.
The editing in this video is just PREMIUM. I've always loved FunWithGuru's editing for his videos taking on this professional approach but this one is new. The ps2 style intro and the game covers of different games and era's popping up was a VERY nice touch
the vibe of older video games is hitting differently, i remember watching that rat easter egg when mirror's edge was booming...i was 11 yo back then and now im 22 :(
