Whachu goin do if i don't
@@bobherobrine3415 our toxic fan base is gonna send you death threats
As sad as this scene is you really have to respect kuma for looking out for the straw hats if he didn't separate them they would've surly died in the new world
Yup
The rest of the Worst Generation seem to do just fine
hahahha thats what i was thinking..they got 2 years to train and on same lvl as law and kid..+ they have plot armor cause its anime about them..@@emperortime2356
Died at the new world??? If Kuma would't have showed up here, the strawhats would all have died in this scene. Rayleigh only hold back Kizaru. There was still Sentomaru and 2 Pacifista around.
@@emperortime2356not all of them. I mean like 3 of them got enslaved by Kaido, one had to become a warlord (better then the other 3 ig) and i forgot his name but the mafia guy had to work under big mom.
Luffy isnt the type to work under an emperor and to survive the new world most of them were forced to that, so them doing ‘just fine’ kinda seems like an understatement😭
Crunchyroll knows what they’re posting, and I respect their game
Lol I know they get us ready for egghead.
a
Crazy how so much is happening in this arc. And it’s so short for a one piece arc
Watching this now after reading Kuma backstory hits even harder
I know 😭
Iykyk
Yeah, it definitely stings
And I‘m looking forward for the animation. Who wants to share a tear? I‘m ready 😢
Sure😭😭
2:06 This moment hits harder after 1102. This was undoubtedly Kuma's greatest middle finger to the World Government after God Valley. When you think of all the good the Straw Hats have done after the timeskip, even losing his free will, he was indirectly responsible for the liberation of Dressrosa, Wano, Punk Hazard, and Fishman Island. Kuma will always be the Straw Hat's greatest ally
Greatest act of heroism? Over liberating a country twice, saving his daughter’s life in place of his own, being one of the founding members of the revolutionary army, and taking the pains of the elderly week after week?
@@sepehragah3225 Got me there. I gave a more accurate description
Not only that, he’s the one indirectly responsible for returning Nika to the world.🥲
He’s truly is the greatest of us all.
@@sepehragah3225 Yeah because saving the Strawhats would inadvertently lead to an end to the whole regime of the Celestials which will happen at the end of the story.
The Strawhats saved more kingdoms after this too because Kuma saved them. Fishmen island, Wano, Zou, Dressrosa which would never have happened if Kuma hadn't saved them here. Saving the Strawhats is ironically Kumas most impactful middle finger to the world government.
Also this Kuma backstory confirms that Dragon was indirectly in some way helping the strawhats, i mean, we can say that he "save" luffy more than only one time
Luffy absolutely breaking not only broke our hearts, but also Kuma's. But Kuma had to do it. He was the Tutorial Boss to show the player wasn't ready yet.
Hi
Damn, that's a perfect comparison 😮
The Vanguard to their Demon's Souls. Just a taste of trials to come.

@@bobherobrine3415 You want me to get another job on top of the one I have?
How we felt about Kuma back then: 😡
How we feel about Kuma now: 😭
Always respected kuma
Alternative title: "Kuma makes sure the Strawhats doesn't get killed on Dressrosa"
"You've got it wrong! I'm just showing you the level you have to be in the new world, you and your friends just aren't ready..."
Watching this after the backstory has a different feel to it man
❤❤❤
How y’all feel watching this after we heard about Kuma’s backstory.
Sad but I understand why he did it
plus if he didn't do it luffy wouldn't know about ace in marineford
It feels like the sadness I had for the Strawhats was crushed underneath the sadness I now have for Kuma. Rewatching this will be so hard, especially if I get family to watch it. They're going to be so confused why I'm bawling my eyes out
@@terrenceharris-hughes4436they’d prob be sieged n captured by the marines if it weren’t for him♥️
😢
Looking back now, Kuma did the straw hats a favor
🥰❤️
Ong he did. He went from barely beating Gecko Moria to being able to overwhelm Doflamingo. If Luffy and everyone went to Fishman Island, the Hody Jones group would defeat the Straw Hats. I like to think that if the timeskip didn’t happen, Hody and his boys would be OP. What’s insane is that despite the pills, Luffy and Zoro could mid diff him.
@@JoyconsRUnDriftable-dx9vvif the SH went to fishman island after this they wouldn't have found Hody because their plan started 2 years after this
Kuma’s a real one after knowing the context.
A goat among goats
You ain't sly Crunchroll. Releasing this scene knowing damn well what just got revealed in the recent chapter.
I love Kuma's face at 2:06 knowing what we know now, you can see his shock and discomfort seeing Luffy openly weeping at the sudden vanishing of all his closest comrades in the blink of an eye, he's almost remorseful for what he did, but finding out he did it to save them, to help them train themselves to be stronger and face the new world, his fatherly heart must have ached seeing a young man crying for the loss his friends. What a scene man, what a scene.
Really good catch
This scene hits differently once you know Kuma's perspective. Masterful writing by Oda.
This moment hits so hard watching Luffy’s reaction to his crew being taken away from him 🥲
Hits harder later onward to
What's worse is the reason why Kuma did it.
Backshots intensifies
Dawg why the pfp💀
a
Us before: Poor Luffy, he doesn't understand what is going on
Us now: Poor Kuma, we didn't understand what was going on
Kuma doing more for luffy than dragon ever did 🙏😭
"A child is a parents greatest weakness" Dragon may not be around for Luffy but he is fighting for the whole world.
I mean to be fair look what the Five Elder Stars did to Bonny to get Kuma to fork up his humanity and free will. Dragon may very well be a dead beat but it was probably the best thing he could've done for Luffy. Plus his goal of overthrowing the world nobles is a pretty admirable goal and will free the world from their tyranny.
Kuma is Luffy’s Piccalo
Luffy was boutta hit the dust to smoker if dragon ain’t step in
Didnt Dragon send Kuma to rescue the crew
I used to think Luffy was so arrogant and annoying but after this episode I realized he was always just confident and knew that he could back it up. He never once told his crew to run but watching him do that this episode and how much he suffered at losing them showed me how truly humble he always was. I was so wrong about him and he completely won me over this episode he is a true king 🤴
Kuma then: 😡🤬
Kuma now: 😭😔
The timing on this. They definitely know what they are doing.
Kuma saved the "Warrior of Liberation" with the "hands of freedom"...
What Oda did with Kuma is probably one of the best things he’s ever done in the whole series. No one expected the trajectory this character would go on after this moment
Knowing Kuma's backstory now, He really helped out Luffy and his crew
Maybe right at this scene happened it was frustrating, but it became clear when each of the crew members ended up at places that would enhance their talents, what was being done. Kuma himself guarding the ship until they got back to it was also a good indicator. Having Kuma's thoughts during this scene from the most recent chapters help expand on it. Hopefully he'll be able to realize the fruits of his actions in the Egghead arc depending on what comes next.
You'll love Egghead for sure. Can't hype it enough for you without spoiling, you guys are in for a real treat.
It always get me that Robin is the last to vanish, the one who the whole crew fighted for her security, yet she couldn't be protected at all. Thankfully Kuma did it for they good ❤
Kumas last act of free will 😭
he also guarded the ship afterwards
It’s not tho. Well it was for a while
@@novasoul99 that wasn't free will, it was programmed in by vegapunk
This scene hits even harder after seeing Kuma’s backstory 😢
One of the best arcs in the series. The implications really were felt later on.
The extra depth given to this scene from recent chapters makes this one of the saddest moments in all of One Piece on multiple angles.
Now I know the truth, my respect to Kuma has increased.
When did happened we all hated kuma. But now we were all wrong. He’s the goat
Luffy powerlessness made this scene so epic
This hits way different after the latest chapter, Kuma did them a solid here
Sometimes you have to be portrayed as a villain to be accepted as the hero. Thank you Kumachi ❤️
the hardest part about the seperation was Luffy's greatest fear since childhood was being left alone in the world. Watching his crew, his family, disappear had to be the biggest tragedy of his life and then comes Marineford....
Pre-Timeskip: Kuma you B****rd.
After Timeskip: Kuma you our Savior.
They knew what they were doing posting this scene
Kuma didn't separate the Straw Hats ... he set them up for the New World!
It one of saddest things I’ve seen in One piece and not knowing if they were ever gonna see each other again.
Gonna hit so hard when they remake this scene with Kuma's narration on it
I just finishing this arc and I get chills every time I see robin yelling out to luffy in this scene
There’s a whole new POV to this now. I don’t see Luffy in this, I only see Kuma
This was one heck of an emotional roller coaster episode. Before, we thought he literally nuked each straw hat. They were losing no matter what. They had nowhere to run, and luffy was beginning his losing journey.
They weren't ready yet. 🥲🥲
Crunchyroll is pulling this one out of the archives to get us pumped for Egghead Island where we'll see this again but from Kuma's perspective.
The cries from luffy get me every time, man loses everything in such a short timespan. Props to Kuma tho in the long run, but in the moment I hated his guts
After reading Kuma’s flashback, this scene hits harder now. :(
Hmm,I wonder why crunchyroll recently added this clip? No matter, it's time to get caught up on the Egghead arc!
This really started a chain reaction of sad moments for the series 😢
Its heart breaking knowing that Kuma was thinking during this.
Please Kuma, after what you've done with the Straw Hats, don't die 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
All hail the savior of the straw hat whether you see it that way or not. This is literally some parental TOUGH LOVE from a man carrying so much PAIN😢
The First Time i saw this episode i felt the utter impotence of Luffy as my own but After a long time i realize It was a blessing in disguise
I love that long pause of Kuma watching a crying Luffy lash out against himself under the assumption that he’s failed to save his friends
Everyone thought Kuma was a villain and hated him for doing this when it happened.
Now everyone understand he's a hero and thanks him for separating the SH's here.
This hits harder not only because the recent chapters, but Kuma's death and him saying arigato reflects exactly like Ace's death. 😢
Kuma always held back 💀
This is just the level of the New Word…
My sweet misunderstood bear man, you were doing your best.
Learning more about kuma makes this scene 10x more impactful than it already was😢
After Kuma's backstory, this scene hits so much differently.
Why did everyones opinion changed for Kuma ? I mean we knew since Thiller Bark, that he has a connection to Dragon. And he send every crewmember to an specific island to train their powers. It was obvious, that he was helping the Straw Hats. He even protected their ship for 2 years. We just know his whole backstory now. But he always supported and protected the Straw hats.
I imagine that his relationship with Dragon was still suspicious and his actions made almost no sense at the time
Sadly, many people just tend to look past the evidence that goes contrary to their opinion until definitively proven wrong (and even then some people are stubborn.) For me it's more heartbreaking to know Kuma was tearing himself up inside during this moment, knowing he was helping but not being able to convey this fact, just having to accept their pain and anguish.
I think it’s mostly because Kama came off as a threat so even in this scene he’s helping them we also see Luffy literally at his lowest . Also with Kama a lot of that stuff was revealed post timeskip
He sent them to the locations that he visited in the past, when he was trying to find a cure for Bonney, and Kuma said that Luffy will “save the world one day”
Of course they drop that after Kumas flashback 😢
Can't wait for Toei to use this scene again 20 Episodes from now
The most desperate scene in One Piece can become the most beautiful simply by changing the point of view... Oda is different.
Even if they somehow made it to the new world, they would not have survived past fishman island. The fact that they made it to Sabaody is a miracle in and of itself.
This hits so different now it hurts :'(
Luffy: I couldnt save everyone!!
Kuma: I'm just giving you some buffs, its dangerous out there.
We didn't know he was the hero we needed at the time.
Kuma: “I’m sorry, Dragon. But I have to do this. Your boy and his crew will save the world but they are not ready yet.”
Hey Crunchyroll I have a few questions. Number one: How dare you? 😭😭😭😭😭😭
And now we know exactly why Kuma did this and even why he chose the places he did to send them all to
"You're wrong. I'm only showing you the level you need to be in the new world"
After finding out the reason why Kuma did this years later to the latest chapter, it just made me respect this character so much more.
If you know, you know. Crunchyroll knows.
Kuma is probably the only reason straw hats are alive. This mad-lad only made luffy a menace stronger than ever.
This hits different finally know the truth about kuma😢
Man, Kuma went from being a terror to being the Strawhats greatest ally. He held them down 💯 here.
Saved their lives - because they just weren’t ready for the new world. Then protected the Sunny till they came back.
Kuma is an OG.
My heart man this was so painful back then 😭
Looking back on this now. Especially in the recent chapters.
I think Kuma sold out the navy when they had the Nika fruit.
Remember what Whos Who said. He was part of CP9 before he joined kaido. And his task that ended uo costing him his job was to protect the Nika fruit they had obtained. The same fruit that Shanks stole and then luffy ate.
The Navy prides itself on being able to keep information hidden. Only a select few people knew where the fruit was. And all of them were either Gorosei or CP9.
But i think Kuma leaked the location of the fruit right before his free will was erased. It wasnt in the flashback. But its the only logical way shanks could've found that fruit.
Is more like "Kuma saves Staw Hats"
I have never been a fan of the I'm doing this for your own good, but is so spot on Kuma has to do it, he was saving their future and dreams
Kuma was saving them from Kizaru
Was just thinking about this scene yesterday.
After reading the backstory this hits hella different
Ikr 😢
Me when I found out Wendy’s got rid of the 4for4 meal 2:00
One of the most heartbreaking scenes in media.
It's pretty crazy how Kuma can repel things that are 3x his size like Monster Point Chopper. I wonder what the size limit is to him repelling something.
Kuma is truly Luffy guardian!
You will… save the world
This was a brutal moment for Luffy. 😢🎉
This scene hurts in many different ways
Now that i think about it egghead artsyle does remind me to how sabaodys art style aswell, just like a more modern take but pretty interesting how they did that with the similarities both arcs have
The bubbles popping... This anime is amazing
I remember the first time watching this scene... Luffy has never been THIS helpless and defeated. Seeing his whole crew vanish in front of him made me actually worried about them... Then the episode ended, I closed my mouth and remembered that they're not real people... but damn was I scared for them.
Ahhh since they just finished his backstory seems like the perfect time to revisit this
the fit Luffy has at the end... heartbreaking
This scene is heartbreaking to watch
