This is just proof that a well written song can cross into any genre and be great. Taking it to one genre or another can change the feel but you can truly feel a well written song.
Absolutely, I will add that it also takes a very talented artist to make that transition to another genre. Some can completely butcher a classic, but Glen Templeton is one of the best artists I've ever heard. Such a wide range of vocals.

Laru never knew this even existed until I clicked on this. This is the only version I know because I don't listen to anything not played on country radio. Only non country stuff I listen to are MOST new and old stuff from MOST new and old pop stars from 1980s-2005 and Katy perry. It seems like ever since that no talent horrible good for nothing sack of garbage shitler swift came out and started as a pop star in 2006 literally ANYTHING from ANYBODY'S mouth on the pop stations were PURE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE until Katy perry came along.
