  • @cooperkrause7769
    @cooperkrause7769 4 роки тому

    Reading about Sor brought me here. A text I am reading has a section which goes over the origins of the guitar, and includes discussion on construction of instruments, stringing, composers, their styles. I am really enjoying music by Gaspar Sanz and de Murcia! So beautiful! Thank you! These campanelas, they are beautiful, reminds me of what Lenny Breau was doing with harmonics, though in different ways. Seeing how composers mixed rasqueado in with ponteado and arpeggiations, wow it is amazing, so fluid, so much texture! What is re-entrant tuning?

    • @tobiasstudtheol
      @tobiasstudtheol 4 роки тому

      Re-entrant tuning basically means that partly the double string set are tuned in octaves (mostly at least the d-strings) and the a-strings are both an Octave higher than on a modern guitar (like g-string - 2 fret). The deep e-string is completely missing.
      If you would sketch the basic tuning of the baroque guitar it would be like a "u".

    • @cooperkrause7769
      @cooperkrause7769 4 роки тому

      @@tobiasstudtheol Thank you, and my understanding is now that re-entrant, means that the strings are not tuned 'from lowest to highest.' Diapasons are the long, non-stopped bass strings like on a theorbo. Bourdon is another word that has come up- I couldn't tell from context if a bourdon is similar to a diapason, or if it is perhaps the name of the 'doubled' string?

    Mi piace la tecnicva del rasgueo, con "los golpes de pulgar" sulla cassa. Io, tanti anni fa, andavo strillando ai quattro venti che per suonare bene la chitarra barocca bisognava aver fatto anche un corso di chitarra flamenca. Rosario Cicero lo capì ed applicò. Come anche il Maestro di questo video...

    • @lucamassenziopalermo9071
      @lucamassenziopalermo9071 6 років тому

      Caro "Vi Odio Tutti": no, dalle mie ricerche regge, eccome se regge. Ma da non confondersi con il Flamenco stile '800, ovviamente. Scrivere "flamenco" è solo un termine per indicare l'andamento della mano destra, senza riferimenti esatti temporali.
