How long does it take before you see any sort of popping out I’ve just planted my pine and sweet gum but I’ve never done anything like this before so don’t want to mess it up
They can be very quick to sprout or can take a full year to come through - normally within the first 6 weeks after the stratification process they sprout but some seeds do take a bit longer.
I have a few questions. How long after plantation are you moving them to bigger pots? And what substrate would you suggest? Are they okay to be kept inside or should they be outside when in larger pots? I'm in the UK also 😊 I'm a total beginner at this.
Hi Cally, i would wait until they look good and strong - maybe 4 inches tall as a minimum, any substarte is good potting soil or a more bonsai mix would be fine, if you put them out side avoid windy spots and areas which could give too much direct sunlight, filtered/shaded light should be fine, a little bit of air flow but not too windy. Keep up the good work!!
Don't be surprised if a larch pops up in that last redbud;-)

Great 1st day of the year, looking good so far.....fingers crossed for the others. 👍
It's interesting to see the kits you get in the UK, thanks for sharing.
Gotta love those red bud leaves. The heart shape is one of my favorites. Hope the Larch makes it. I have yet to successfully germinate any.
Happy New Year Scott!! This looks like a good start!! I’d say by springtime... things will be popping in your greenhouse!!!
I have heard you are getting nice spring weather in the UK! Good to see the seeds germinating!
Hi Scott happy new year ! That's great , they're really starting to pop up now !

@@Cally-vr4ux Awesome!! keep us up to date
I bought this kit a week ago today I was wondering when you started to see growth from the redbud, pine etc?
Hey there Scott! Out of all of the kits that you've tried so far, what ones have been your favorite/recommended kits?
I would say they are all much of the same but if i had to choose i would say the urban sprout and the planters choice worked best for me.
Nice video. Did the seed grow bigger? I'm testing the same kit.
The 2 redbuds continued to grow - update coming today
