- The Blix Vika+ is an elegant folding electric bike available in three classic colors (green, black, cream) with matching silver accents all across the frame including the stem, handlebar, chainring, rear rack, seat post, and sturdy alloy pedals. Safe and durable with plastic fenders from SKS that have flexible mud-flap ends, puncture resistant tires from Kenda with reflective sidewall stripes, and premium integrated lights from Spanninga. Smooth acceleration is what I found with its smaller cousin the Vika Travel. Some other ebikes seem a little too torquey but not the Vikas. I had to sell my Travel but would buy it again in a heartbeat. I bet the Vika Plus feels wonderful due to its larger size. Thank you, Court, for another great review.

Just got this from NYCeWheels two weeks ago in black, and I love it! It's a very stealthy bike, I noticed that it tends to startle pigeons and dogs because it sneaks up on them with it's quiet motor. the only thing I didn't like about it was the saddle (so uncomfortable) so I replaced that with a Cloud9, and purchased a thudbuster to top it off. I got the upgraded 17 amp battery and have done about 150 miles in these past two weeks. I would definitely reccomend it! And I appreciated your helpful review!

Very informative. I did not know about the chemical change on drained batteries. I'm torn between this bike and a volt bike. A local store sells the blix however, and is the same place I got my e-bike which is in badly need of maintenance so I might just drop off my e-bike for repairs and pick up this folding blix for when I need to take a bus and as a back-up. I may as well take it for a test ride regardless.
You should review the Ahooga bike, winner of red dot design award, weight is an important variable for a folding bike.

I have a question - after watching both videos on the Blix Vika+ & E-Joe Epik SE what would you recommend for someone who is commuting from North Beach to the Ferry Building of San Francisco using the Embarcadero route? I'm a petite rider at 5ft tall. What is the durability on both bikes in regards to battery maintenance/replacement and are these bikes low or high maintenance?

What do you do with the battery if you have to leave the bike somewhere, if you go into a store or something. Would it be something someone might want to steal? That's a big item to have to carry around.

I just got one and issues already. Back tire doesn’t turn when inflated. They want me to take to a bike shop to fix. But I just got it. :(. May pay $ to return. No more online for me. Don’t buy.
