@@archael18 Thank you and I'm glad that you enjoy it. That's not always the response I get, plenty of people don't like it and feel the need to let me know.
@shanezell One can never please 100% of people. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed the run, as well as your commentary. It would be cool to see you in the FFR community as well, if you're so inclined. I don't participate but I watch most matches and I'm in the discord.
@archael18 As long as I'm trying to improve world records I will not be playing randomizer. It ruins muscle memory getting used to different timing on a lot of things.
I got stuck in that hallway rt by the vampire in the earth cave cuz of a bat blocking me in, couldnt get out ang i had ta reset. I dont know any those rng tricks or anything tho/
@@MoonlapseOpethian That depends on your goal. If you aren't manipulating the game then 2 fighters, 2 black mages is the faster team anyone has ever beat the game with.
After all of your challenge runs, it’s actually really fun to see the fastest possible. Congrats on the WR! Does the RNG manip require precision timing or just precision inputs? I’m comparing it to the Dragon Warrior RNG manip runs where the inputs have to be timed perfectly.
They have to be perfect in battle, but you can buffer the inputs a little. Outside of combat I need perfect movement also in most places but the timing of those doesn't matter. If I had to guess which one is harder to pull off I would say dragon warrior for sure.
I do manipulation throughout the whole run. In the beginning I am resetting the battle RNG value to 0 so I can start a new run. Doing a run like this it helps to start at a known value so you can control the RNG for the whole run.
This whole run is about manipulating the RNG in the game. I hold B to make sure that every attack I make is on a known value of RNG to get the outcome that I want.
@shanezell dude I can Imagine... you are basically trying to hit a Frame perfect move...to nail the rng counter, single number outta 256 at 30 frames a second, 4 times in a row, manually, with a controller that was made the same year I was born..I'm 38. ... amazing bro, well done
I'm a 45 yo man. I remember the first time I played FF and It was very good to have now a glance of the entire game. Good job 😊😊😊.
Congratulations! the "where am I going?" right before Kary 2 cracked me up.
Shane, killer run man! Sorry I haven't been able to catch your streams lately but so happy to see this here!
Thanks, it could have been faster if the bats were nicer. A world record is still a WR though.
Congratulations on your accomplishment! Your voice is very relaxing also while watching your run. Very enjoyable 👌

Congratulation Shane that was quick !
Congrats!
In Final Fantasy Renaissance, the Death Knight gains an ability to eat the bats giving him a permanent stand boost.
4 fighters new meta? Quick run dude, it took me like 8 hours for my first one.
Mind blown. No idea this was a thing

Congratulations!!!!
Just saw the new WR; grats :)
Congratz, very Pog!!🎉
Very nice!! Congrats man
This is taking me 55 years
Go Shane 👍
Congrats!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Nice! Congrats!
no poison or paralize but those bat arrrggg!!
Is four fighters the best party?
@@MoonlapseOpethian That depends on your goal. If you aren't manipulating the game then 2 fighters, 2 black mages is the faster team anyone has ever beat the game with.
@@shanezellWould you say that without RNG that this is the best party combination possible?
@MoonlapseOpethian Without RNG the best party is solo fighter.

Wow, you beat the SDA segmented run! What's the manipulation you do at the beginning?

No Dan, run invalid.
why do you hold B before you attack?

How does rng manip work exactly?
ABAT must be another of the many bugged spells in the game
Yeah, anti bat spell didn't work so well.
@@shanezell You still did great, bud.
FF1 Randomizer Any% when?
I don't think I'll ever do randomizer runs... But with that said I do plan to do bug fix and conveniences soon.
absofuckinglooootally amazing bro... infinitely more impressive then any TAS doing this with a controller yourself!!!
The hardest part was hitting the bane swords 4 times near the end of the run.
