I think the item has a pretty cool name. Malignance. Festering death, deterioration, anger, and/or evil. Really matches with the item effect of leaving damaging areas that reduce their defenses.
And then there is Zoomies.
@zwag Xerath I can’t stand you not buying tear on xerath it’s just 400 gold I’m main xearath I played 1000 games and I don’t have single game where I wouldn’t buy a tear ….
@@brekk1e_junior308 You just highlighted what makes zwag a good xerath then, he has controlled mana management and doesnt have to waste 400 gold to buy a tear without actually building into a tear item. That means he's 400 gold closer to item powerspikes.
Nothing really wrong if you want to keep buying tear for xerath, but practicing mana management without it will make you a lot better as a player, and it's really not something to judge zwag for.

I think Malginance is gonna be really good on Anivia, as her ult slows them in the zone that's shredding their MR and burning them
Malignance passive burns the ground beneath them for " *3* " seconds. probably doesnt stack, which is why after 3 seconds you have to hit them again with ult to create another zone.
My question is about the shroom+Malignance+Liandris burn interaction. Teemo shrooms poison for 4 seconds so theoretically it would proc twice like Caster’s, but would that magic damage reapply liandri burn? I really wished he built Malignance during the teemo vid. It’s practically built for his type of ultimate 😅
It probably wouldn't... I don't think the new ludooles procs the burn. But hearing to scales with damage done... sooooooo veigar ult hitting for 2k+ how big that pool. Wonder if adding a collector would give you the max size lol
It looks like only 1 pool can be active at a time, so yeah every 3sec you would be able to generate a pool
Also Karthus R? Will it make multiple pools for each champion hit or 1 at random? Because 20haste on karthus ult sounds so sweet, and the item gives another 20 per se so it would lower it by A LOT. One pool would be a huge disappointment though
@@AlexM-db2og It would be one pool I believe. Teemo R only give pool to one when thrown in a crowd. I think Karthus would make a larger pool though.
I think Malignance will be great for some supports to increase the teams damage allowing mid to go like Reba instead.
I think that Ult item would work well for Teemo. The shroom slow would keep them in the radius reducing their MR which then increases the rest of the damage they take from the shroom. Then if they walk into another it happens again. Also pretty sure the cooldown on it is that you can only have one burning circle at a time, so the cd is 3s.
Having more then 1 would be a bit much on aoe ults like neeko or mf... get a 5 man ult on neeko get 5 pools or mf getting 1 pool per hit on more then 1 person would totally be far too strong... thinking Lucian would be hilarious or hiemer missles lol.

CC ends up being much more damage for Teemo since it also works on his Q and is proc'd multiple times by his shrooms.

@@cliff_hange7284 as it stands now, burn build isn't really needed. You can legitimately one shot with shrooms.
I'm curious to see how Malignance would work on Swain, since you were wondering about if there's a cooldown on the pools spawning.

Malignace is alot of fun on teemo with dark harvest liandrys and the storm item. And I'm not sure if they will patch this but the little grublings count for scion W passive. If your left alone in the pit and just hit them once then stand there they spawn constantly so you can cheese early hp growth.

Malignance really isn't about the burn damage more so the ult haste and MR strip. It works best on champs who can either use their ults often (Teemo/Kogmaw/Corki/Kassadin and so on) or champs who like to lead with their ults and then burst or damage over time. (Fizz, Fiddlesticks, Swain, Malphite, Amumu, Hwei)
AP shaco with Malignance is also really fun. The fear from your clone exploding holds them in the puddle for a while and makes them take a lot of damage from the boxes, and Shaco usually follows a clone explosion up with E.
I feel like it’s just required on malzahar now, like every aspect of it seems so good on him
I think Malignance would be good on someone who can use their ult a lot, like a Teemo. Imagine every shroom leaves an AOE burn puddle, plus it slows already, so it's gonna be extra zoning. - Or any CC ult like Zyra or Renata. - Can you imagine a Renata ult and the whole enemy team starts bonking one another while sitting in AOE burn puddles? - Seems cheap enough that AP poke supports that rely on their ult could go for it.

The ult burn item seems to work well on magic pen builds... seems like all pen items you can get damn near true damage on people that dont buy any mr. Cant wait for the item info for damage to get added so we can see how good or bad it is... the current one doesnt seem to work the numbers change alot for me at least.
can you go full mana with stuff like kassadin, or aren't you able to build them together?

I think the Malignance only has one pool at a time. Because it seemed to have dissipate before it applies on Xerath's ult again.

How does Malignance feel on AP Kogmaw? A champion build that relies heavily on the champion's ult exclusively?
I see Hwei is more suitable as support and control mage secondary. He can be either enchanter or poke mage because of his kit. And if played mid, I think utility role suits him better.
He is a zoning king... the fire and cut a lane in the jungle down and then his root. With the new baron pits you can keep people away for a long time.
@@stephenp8232yea it should have Worked. SADLY I didnt take into Account how 220ping affects Hwei gameplay that has WAY fighter Click Click output than average. (Was the Hwei enemy Team)

Unfortunately from what I've seen, it only spawns under one target. The real question is how is that determined (Lowest health, closest enemy, etc)

It's less a cooldown and more that there can only be 1 pool at a time - but yes, it is a little unfortunate.

The maximum size of the pool is 550, same range as MF. That on Lux when they are together could be huge
The first item you bought is probably gonna be a must buy for malz
Malignance seems to not be on a set CD, but instead you can only have 1 burn pool out at a time. Even worse multiple instances of ult damage (even if its not tick/dot) doesn't override the original.
I feel like corki with the malignance would be busted. You could proc it so often, and also use tons of extra rockets. And unless im mistaken the magic resist would help too.
AP Kog too.
And I'm wondering about AP Udyr. His R may not mechanically count as an "Ultimate", but if it does that would make for one busted combo lol.

Not sure how Swain will work if it reapply the burn AOE but blitz ulti should be fun either when using it or the passiv part AA a few times and see the burns xD
How would Karma R work with that item? i know Ult CD on Karma is good but wont you burn allot seeing its short CD?

if we suppose that malignance has a 3-second cooldown on the active (the duration of the pool) then it could be sort of cool on udyr's 'r'. Provided it counts as ultimate. Please Zwag, do a game with Malignance and Iceborn Gauntlet on Udyr. Maybe even Nitro Hexaegis, as it also has an active that triggers on the ultimate.

The burning area won't get bigger from galios ult.
I build casters, stormsurge, deathcap, horizon, shadowflame. After that, usually banshees.
I think malignance would probably be better on someone who can CC them in it like Malz or Morgana, though personally id love to see it on a teemo shroom burn build lol

Zwag you should try the xerath-kayne aim bot startegy. If you f2 maybe while he is in ult on somebody your ult is impossible to miss

Want to start playing this game, just because of zwags videos. What’s the learning curve here? Even new players need some thick skin? Or is community ( at least new player community) pretty chill about learning?
Haven't tried the ult item on many champs but you definitely missed out on using it on teemo for your nuclear shroom build

Malignance - Its a bit underwhelming damagewise considering its ult only but with the ult haste and the resist stripping I can see it having its place for making things squishier for champs that use their ult as an opener, malphite getting faster ults that also burn and strip the enemies stunned in it for example! With all the extra magic pen and mr removal I can see "lethality mage" maybe becoming a thing ><
Infact malphite stacking magic pen and resist stripping sounds like a "fun" build to possibly try (malignance, abysal mask, etc etc)
Remember when they said they couldn't make a silco champ because his silhouette wasn't distinct enough from other champs ¬_¬
The thing about malignance is that the mr shred also boost other players ap damage. The item gives you more ult cast, mr shred and residual damage you can proc multiple times. It's really good for teamfights, but not for bursting
Yeah, it's definetely more of a utility item rather than raw damage.
I can see it being very useful on things like Galio, Lissandra, Morgana, maybe Karma, and such.... Just not on burst mages.
@@basedleafeon3221 i think is still good on burst damage since the area scales with inicial damage, but the value is not on the pool itself, but in the mr shred and the haste on ult. It's good to blast people on teamfights and have your most valuable asset more active
I think the enemy Hwei needs to posture a bit more level 1-2 against Xerath. You won't win a snipe off, but if you pressure them into missing a Q and then QQ them you might get to poke them out of lane early because you have the snipe to threaten kills if they stay on low health.
try this item with karthus ult. together with the other burst items i got a quadrakill on a full life enemy team at the end :D (only tank survived)

Malignance on swain would be dope.
Malignance seems good on champs like malph or Ori who have engage cc ults
So Far the item works the best on Teemo it seems, It will proc on Shrooms Everytime. I think the item needs to have a buff for champs like Xerath / Teemo/ Anyone with Spammable "R"s that the Zone doesn't Vanish after a New R Cast.
Also, I think the Value in a Team fight of the Zone is going to be massive especially vs Tanks and Fighters.
You Will get so much Free AOE damage but so Far I think so far though the Item is really only good on Teemo / Leblanc. When they make it so it can Spawn A Zone Per Ult Cast that Doesn't Vanish I think it becomes really good for Champs with Spammable Ults.

- Leblanc Doube Chain is a Nice use for it

- Aniva
- Kass
I just think the buff it needs is to make more than one Zone.

I wonder how Malignance ends up working with Morgana. The pool, and by extension the cooldown, is 3 seconds. Her ultimates' tether lasts 3 seconds. So either you end up with 1 pool and nothing notable. Or 2 pools and the enemy gets stunned in the second pool.
Malzahar is interesting due to 2.5 seconds of supression guaranteeing a large portion of the damage.
Kog'Maw can be interesting due the spammability. LeBlanc, Karma and Udyr may be interesting if those empowered basic abilities count as ultimates.
Could please do a video with full health regen garen since the new items kind of help with that?

Id like to see malignance udyr with the potion that gives an extra skill point. That way you can cycle all 4 abilities early and get the item effect on his R.
Wait does udyr get an extra skill point (19 in total instead of 18)?
The potion that give an extra skill point doesnt allow you to get the second point in your ult at 10. Its still level 11 for the second point. SRO found this out on his teemo video.
Ap malphite seems extra scary: malig, storm, shadow flame, deathcap, void staff, boots
I wanna see a burst build with it so like, casters, shadow, magnance, storm, dc.
What about if you do liandrys mask, then Cristal and the ultimate item 3rd
