They do, they're actually very culturally active! There are a lot of events, where the village completely transforms (i.e. in Christmas, it becomes almost a Presepe Vivente). I don't know how, but they even managed to make a recording studio there, I think it's a private one though.
Thank You Jimmy! I'm so happy to read that someone, somewhere si far away from here, enjoyed these videos. It's the beauty of internet to discover new places as such. Here we are in semi lockdown these days and it's hard to move around...but it'll pass. A big big Ciao from Rome !
excellent video, very nice tour my friend this small town is interesting, those stone chairs looks nice. i like how the plants grows in the wall so beautiful to see like this. wow the view is really wonderful. thanks for sharing this beautiful place.
Kinda late for the reply, but just so you have the info, those chairs were there even before the town was built. It was conquered very early in roman times, and those chairs were the only things the romans didn't destroy before rebuilding it.
Thank you ! A beautiful ancient village. But pretty funny wandering around bumping into the same people around every corner. It must be very hard to live there when so many visitors are peering into every nook & cranny !
Yes, you are so right Veronica, quite a tiny town and I guess everyone knows each other) Calcata is one of those tiny gems…. good memories of that day there… beautiful place for sure. I am thinking to get back to it actually , maybe a dusk walk… not so distant from. me!
The tower visible over the valley ,6.38, is the abandoned town of Marie. If you're feeling active there's a lovely walk down out of Calcata across the river and up to it .(30 minutes) This gives you a great view from the other side of Calcata
Excellent info Tom, thank you! I don't live too far away from there, if I'll find the time I'll check it out 🙌 Calcata was a pleasure to discover as I never went there before unfortunately
When I went there I was completely unprepared, I went to Calcata like 10 times already and always wondered what the hell was that tower in the distance! When I finally made up my mind to go check it out the last thing I was expecting was a 30 mins walk in the middle of a forest xD
Glad you enjoyed it) Old movie this... one of the first in this channel, I wish I could film it again in Calcata with the new camera and setup! But great memories... beautitul town Calcata
Gracias Camillo.

Great town Olson... one of my earliest videos this one in Calcata, when I watch it I sometimes wonder how MUCH I needed to improve back then (stabilization for the most part). The newer videos are quite a leap... I wish I could go back to Calcata and tour it again! Stunning town and yeah... 2020 , before the storm actually
