That is a very nice console you have. It is really an excellent one. I have the new version of the little sister 4816SE. Based partly on this video I purchased an SSL Fusion and a Bus+ that arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to them.
Super stupid question: does this SSL compressor match the Vertigo VSC-3? I'm asking the pros who have bigger rooms and budgets than myself. Good video nonetheless.
The SSL Bus Plus and the SSL Fusion could make a great combination but it all really depends on your workflow and what would suit you best! if you need any advice on this please feel free to message us at sales@studiospares.com where one of our product experts will be able to help you find what you need and what will work best for you!
Great explanation but the demo wasn’t that great. You could have gone for a slower attack for more punch on this mix, especially the snare drum. In addition, the gain wasn’t level matched properly..
How much better would the Bus + be if it did what Wes Audio and Bettermaker do and control it with a plugin option that can save and store settings. It's a bit embarrassing that it doesn't have this, but SSL are hardly a front runner or even a medium runner I suppose. These days (and it's not been out that long), the Bus + is a bit redundant in those terms because a commercial studio needs speedy workflow options that you can recall easily. Thinking about it, SSL should get a proper grown up Plugin developer to add an app and a usb data port, rather than use the dev that currently develops what is widely regarded as absolutely awful plugins they have under their SSL brand.
Very nice tune to demo this!
Thanks! We're glad you like it!

Hi, does the make up light turn orange where it says 'fine when pressing knob to go in parallel mode? Thanks
Hi, thanks for watching. Apologies but we don't quite understand the question. Please could you rephrase that?
no worries,
The 'make up' knob when you press it down does it light orange?
its on page 20 of the manual, in reference to parallel mode.
Thanks
What about combining the bus with the ssl fusion? Is it a good match or rather redundant?
