Predict the future: the prediction that will save the world, Dr. Kira Radinsky
Think what would happen if we could predict the exact time of an Ebola outbreak? Could we better prepare for it, prevent it’s spreading more effectively, and save lives in countries where the epidemic erupted? Almost all of us would like to predict the future, but what if it will become possible at a global level?
Dr. Kira Radinsky developed a complex algorithm that tries to predict processes such as diseases and natural phenomena’s using historical information from a variety of online sources. Using these techniques can promote medical research by automatically finding hypotheses through searching existing history, which can reducing the need for lengthy trials.
The lecture is in English, accompanied by subtitles in English, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic.
