I got z9 a few months back and its nice. Its way more than what i needed but i have it now. It was very expensive plus i also got a gimbal with it. Its the best camera ive ever owned.
I wanted the Z9 more than any other camera body. Unfortunately I never received one, 5-6 months after release from my preorder. I realized it was a want more than a need but I still love seeing what others are capable of creating with it. Amazing work 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks so much! Its an incredible tool, but an expensive one for sure. I hope they announce the Z8 soon and hopefully that can help with the backorder issues on the Z9!
Just bought the Z8 and I come from Sony A7Siii and A7RV. Honestly I was feeling so lost and maybe like I made a mistake. But this tells me the camera is more than capable and I just have some fun learning to do.
I am both a photographer and videographer. I own the D850 and the black magic 4k. Im thinking of selljng both to get the Z9. Is this a good idea? Hows the z9 handle fir filmmaking and what lenses were you usijg for these shots? Do they have a 70-200mm mirrorless z mount yet i wonder?
Hey there! I had the exact same set up as you! The Z9 has been absolutely incredible for my workflow. It has also sped up my shooting times significantly. I've only had some slight focus issues with the 24-70mm f2.8 Z lens, but nothing a little correction couldn't fix. I love this camera and I mostly shoot in 4K 120fps, but having the 8K 60fps option is a huge gamechanger for me. I've even pulled stills from Video before and it has worked out! If you're on the fence, look into the Z8 as well. I wish the Z9 was a bit smaller. It is HEAVY. So the Z8 might be more up your alley.
Thanks man, your video looks amazing. I'm now actually contemplating whether I should go all out and get a real high end cinema camera, Red Komodo X. I may have enough left over to afford the z9 on top of it, especially if I can sell my other two cameras/lenses that I wouldn't need anymore. Thank you for your reply man. I appreciate it. Your opinion definitely helps and sorry for all of the spelling errors earlier. Typing with my phone really sucks lol.
If you shoot professionally and can make a good return on your investment, I say absolutely. If its more for a hobby, I'd suggest going with the Z8 since its essentially the same internals but at a cheaper price point. The Z9 is HUGE. But for my job it is perfect.
I am also a Z9 user, but after watching your video, I feel that I am totally sorry for its performance. The adjusted colors and effects you shot really take advantage of its performance. I really hope to see some of your video content about Z9 shooting. For example, the frame rate of shooting. And the video of color adjustment in Da Vinci. This content is too little now. PS: Nice job!😃
That shot in particular was a bit lucky. The clouds came out and created a really even light. I applied the Nikon Z9 Lut to my N-Log footage and then mostly graded everything within Final Cut Pro. Just added some contrast, de saturated and took down the luminosity of the greens / blues and messed with the hue of the oranges.
@@LoiselsPhotography Thank you! Hmmmm. Its definitely difficult to say. The BMPCC4K beats out the Z9 when it comes to colors and sensor depth. Also the Blackmagic feels more cinematic right out of the camera compared to the Nikon. However, being able to switch back and forth between Stills and Video instantly is worth it enough for me. You'll just have to put in a bit more work on the back end to get the Z9 footage to look cinematic for sure.
@@SPNCEmusic That's all good with me! I love working on PCs with footage. I normally shoot prime lenses by the way, but judging the prices of the mirrorless lenses, I don't know if I could afford them lol.
That sunset shot if absolutely MINDBLOWING! The range on that thing and your colours are so beautiful! Thanks.
nothing less than a professional work
Beautiful colors and edit.
You have the best footage on UA-cam with the Z9/Z8. I don’t like to make claims like that but your footage looks fantastic.
Oh my goodness just seeing this. Thank you SO much.
I love Nikon colors!
They truly are the best.
@@SPNCEmusic also the "texture".
Really nice!
WOW!

I don't know when I will ever switch to anything else.

Its an absolutely fantastic camera! It has its quirks, but I've been shooting with Nikons for almost 15 years and this is the best iteration yet.
Beautiful Work, was this 10bit NLOG or NRAW?
Sorry just now seeing this. All of this was H.265 10bit N-Log
Yo that shot at 0:59 is crazy!
1:16 too
@@yoitmeree Thank you so much friend! We were shooting on a farm for my client and it turned out wonderfully!

Is it worth the money ? Thinking about it

Did you used 1.33 anamorphic or its and edit ?
I edited it that way! Its shot with the 24-70mm f2.8 lens

Thank you so much for the compliments! I actually graded everything in Final Cut Pro X! I will definitely try to upload a tutorial soon!
@@SPNCEmusic Warmly looking forward to your tutorial. It will be very useful!
PS: Does Final Cut Pro X already support NRAW?
@@Boer82 It does not. I shoot almost exclusively in the H.265 setting since I am very run and gun and need as much space on the cards as possible.
@@SPNCEmusic still wating the tutorial haha ! ^___^
