In this video, Martin demonstrates cutting pipe, pressing, and beveling with Multipipe’s Multilayer Pipe and Fittings.
With MLC piping available in a range of sizes, from 12mm right up to 110mm, the procedure for cutting and beveling is very similar across the range.
We have a range of cutters, from simple bladed cutters through to comprehensive wheel cutters for larger diameter pipework.
Here are the instructions for cutting pipe and pressing with Multipipe’s Multilayer Pipe and Fittings:
0:44 - Start by cutting your pipe at a 90 degree angle using your pipe cutter.
1:24 - Next, use the Multipipe beveling tool to shave a 45 degree angle in the inner core.
2:46 - Then, use a pressing tool to secure the pipe fitting. When done properly, you should see white in all three windows of the fitting.
3:08 - You should then see pressing marks on the pipe fitting that show the installer that the press has been successfully made.
Follow this basic process to make cutting pipe, pressing and beveling easy.

Sorry for our delay coming back. we would always recommend our MLC pipe for buried installations we even do a pre-insulated pipe making installs easier. Just visit our website for our options for you. The need to sleeve heating pipes is not required only hot and cold pipes.

you are best to use a copper spigot this is a short stub length of copper that does straight into the valve. www.multipipe.co.uk/product/type-3-adapter-metal-press-to-copper-spigot-adapter/ I hope this helps.

Let’s make something so simple so complicated. You Europeans work too hard, in Britain we use speedfit or hep20 fittings, no expensive tools required no chamfering, cut with even a steak knife and still won’t leak ever. I was doing a job in Spain and all I was thinking is €€€€€ for the tools. Don’t fall for it people speak up.

Many thanks for your message. This system is designed to buy into for professionals to offer all the benefits of hydraulic pressing. This makes it a perfect solution for plumbers and not for DIY installations or the DIY market. Plastic push-fit systems are good for most installations but have limitations. Also, most installers who move to MLC do so because they had a negative experience with push-fit systems.
