I'm one of those few guys.
I feel so comfortable being in the dead wrist press.
I don't know why. But it simply feels good. It kind of feels unfair using it.
Especially in a strap.
It feels like a pull and a press in the same time, all directed into the thumb of my opponents.
Great video guys! 💪
@Texas Made Strength Not a bit. It is kind of flexed in a fully stretched position. Just like I would do a muscle up on the hand of my opponent.
I’m new to the sport and also feel good in a press. Any advice on how to avoid injury?
@@provingastrology4471 Time. Patience. Get used to very high loads in training. Might take a while. Be sure that one arm could handle 50% to 75% of your bodyweight in any direction. And try to activate every single muscle, every single moment. Core and connection is exactly as important as the arm itself. This is the best way to avoid injuries. Long story short: Get fckng strong and use what you got for your own protection.
@@patricklee8789 thank you 💪
@@provingastrology4471 You're welcome!
Been wanting this for awhile and you guys delivered. Thank you! Awesome work
I wish you guys had a video where you layout many of the beginning moves, intermediate moves, and advanced moves.
I'm very new but I've been pressing as my main move. It's like 3 times stronger than everything else.
Its not beginner move. Very very easy to get injured.
I feel like in situations where my golfer's elbow (another great vid btw) is acting up and side-pressure is too painful, I can flip into a press and generate downward pressure without pain. Just a little thing that works for me sometimes.
You should work on your medial epiconliytis if you feel pain with cupped wrist but not with flop, strengthen that tendon hard!
@@voiceofarmwrestling Thanks a lot! I will do that!
@@voiceofarmwrestling You should make a Video on that topic alone, thousands of ppl suffer bc of this this particular problem in the same period of the project 'becoming an armwrestler', I honestly believe. I had it, I strengthened the area with heavy, band suspended loads, it worked very well. Make a Video, so many ppl would be thankful. I would do it. But you guys have the opportunity to reach millions.
@@patricklee8789can you describe the angle and range of motion that helped you?
@@EyeDriveATruck Basically find the exact spot of the whole curve where it actually hurts the most and use elastic Band suspended loads of about 50-60% in the beginning and just use a very short range of motion, only pulses. Just progress from there until you reach your previously highest PR but with those Bands.
You can massage, vibrate and stretch that fucker as much as you want.... the whole tissues right in the elbow must 'break and tear', heal again and adapt, finally. Takes a few months to change all the tissue and cells. But it works wonders. Also, just throw in one week of rest before you start this period.
Wagner Bortolato is a phenomenal presser as we just saw at East vs West
Who was the athlete from Kazakhstan you mentioned at 17:30? The guy who shoulder pressed with a sideways starting position? Would love to get come clips of this!
Talgat Aktayev
So I hear isometric holds develop explosive power, should I do this when I do pull ups, also what is good defense if your defending in kings move but can supernate back
Can opener
U imagined to defeat him
But he Kazakhstan guy beat u in second
U have no time to put him to defense
Watched a Travis video recently and he showed setting up at the table and raising up on toes like Ray for extra height 👍👍👍
We both are just fabolous.
@@voiceofarmwrestling i lost my press .whenever i did press i can't its painful its been a year but still i can't do it when i try its again pain in under elbow , how can i rid of it ,what i can do for healing

18:30 Yanis forarm looks insane! He reminds me of a Drabon Ball's character, maybe he is a retired Supa Sayajin who knows...
Very interesting video as usual, Yanis is such a grand master with nice soul, and you are doing great too.
Keep it up!
Good that Im doing great too
I hate the tricep press, hate it deeply! 😁
I know! :D
😁 But still use it. And effective. - Janis
Great talk and knowledge about the press. And definitely one of the best and fastest light weight presser got to be Talgat Aktaev, I've seen him beat some world class heavy weights with that move, it's kinda crazy. And I do agree that the move is for more advance pullers only, beginners that try it may very well get their arms broken.
Thank You Kai, you are right!
190kg bench press. 2.1 times your bodyweight.
These videos are a great service to any level of arm wrestler. The explanations, the details, the examples of real matches, etc. Thanks for your work and keep it up 👍
It's awesome to have someone who's actually studied anatomy talk about these things. A lot of armwrestlers, even the great ones, are painfully unaware of the.. *Jannis accent* Biomechranics .. You get some really weird information out of some of them occasionally. heh
@@mortenrl1946 A champion arm wrestler physiotherapist is the perfect instructor
We think big part of our edge is education in Sports science and also for Janis as a physiotherapist.
@@voiceofarmwrestling I might have an interesting question for you guys, if you ever plan to speak on the kingsmove again. Is it actually that dangerous? People always talk about how it "shows you're willing to break your arm" ... But I can't seem to find a single case.
www.mtprehabjournal.com/article/doi/10.17784/mtprehabjournal.2018.16.567
It's all humerus, no radius or ulna. Or maybe people who lock out their elbow are just really rare, but I've seen it around.. so it's kind of odd.
I only bench press supersetted with barbell row. It's quick and balanced. Inevitably leads to injury.
Can we have an explanation video on Kingsmove?
I think Devon and Todd have both done enough explaining
I don't know but I always beat top rollers with this technique
Three heads are better than one, or two.. And lucky enough, they can usually find three happy homes XXX 🤔😛😅😂🤣😁 BTW, on a serious note, very informative press video. I would like to start doing it more once I get to the point where I feel my elbow can handle it. I just started working out again recently...👍✊👊💪
Awesome!
I have a good press but I can't pin the opponent...i get stuck in an inch from the pad
It is more blessed to give than to receive.-Jesus Christ
It is more blessed to give than to receive.-Jesus Christ
Is the tricep press a variation of the hook or the shoulder roll?
That bald guy talks alot of uncessarry stuffs
I flop wrist press left hand because my finger strength is much more then my wrist strength and it makes it almost impossible for opponent to to take your pronation, unless they let you take some their pronation which will make it easier for them to take your pronation then take back their pronation, it won me the Manitoba provincial masters left hand 80KG title!
But that being said I am a stronger puller then pusher, and like to use the press to finish when they stop my toproll near the pin!
Too bad Devon doesn’t train triceps
My hook suck so bad i dont why i just cant figure it. My bicep is strong in the gym but on table a feel like a child.
Same with me when I first started too. I've learned that if your rotator is weak, your bicep will feel very weak in armwrestling. When you attacking or defending, if you lack rotation(also known as pronation), you'll get oversupinated(palm completely face up) and feel like you have no power. So start training that rotation, soon you'll feel much stronger on the table. Hope that helps a little.
Hi Ray,
Whats the difference between shoulder press and triceps press?
I don`t see a difference just different name for basically same move.
why dont you cover fast twitch muscles in a video guys :) like squeezing all u can and as fast reps u can do around a towel 50 reps x 3
100% Strength
100% speed
100% Resistance
100% Technique
100% Manipulation
100% Stamina
100% Experience
100% Winner
You are talking about shoulder press (with supination).. But my oponent uses shoulder press with pronation..
Is there any solution for this situation
refer minute 11.29
This video can’t be a coincidence with Jerry VS Todd match ahead ..right ?
Little coincidence but we know this was fitting. :)
All the technic can go to trash when the opponent is simply stronger than you :)
Maybe
Thanks guys very good insight.
You are very welcome
Who's the red puller at 14:38 ish?
Trubin
Great video and very informative guys. How would you go about training for the press off the table?
When opponent holds with two hands.
Where were you guys looking while explaining?
So I did pushups with a 20lb vest and my strongest move it seemed was wrist hook and pull inward towards my chest, but isn't that more of bicep than chest
Filip Cico Hritz has a very good shoulder press too
Yes, weights he moves and his progress is tremendous.
Do you compete Timmy?
@@Mincraftia100 yes I do compete but I'm not willing to pay the prize to get on the next level if you know what I mean. Btw, Supra MK4 is one of the coolest cars ever for tuning
@@TimmyTurner421 2jz is a great engine don't get me wrong however the supra is the most overhyped car
in each of those videoclips at the beginning, Ray isn't squared up at all, the refs letting him get away with massive carving ;)
I think that's most risk style, you r hand must be strong and elastic or gonna break any moment🤪
Shoulder press techniques no need to has power on bench press its different you need strong Shoulder and tricpes the tricpes and wrist are both the main response to pin your competitors
I'm really trying to get this move down like the Kazakhs.
Great video! 👍💪
Thanks Timmy!
Very Informative coach
Thank You
Thanks coach. Really appreciate this one.
You are welcome buddy!
What are the workouts against tricep press???

What's a good counter to the tricep press
Hello! Is the tricep press similar to a hook?
If you feel comfortable with it. Would it be beneficial to flop wrist a hook arm wrestling pushing him to the outside?
If that takes for you to win then yes.
press with flop or not is not for beginers.its a dangerous move.liepins is corect
Yes I am!
Aktaev Talgat ✊✊✊👍👍👍
Would it be possible to get an in-depth look at cupping? I can't find a video on it. By the way, another spectacular video. Thank you!
Didn`t really understand you question, can you be more specific?
Sure, I looked on the internet for cupping videos and can't find any explaining why to cup, positions, purpose, keeping space in the cup, ect. I can only find videos on training the cup. I'd love to see a good video explaining it. Thank you!
WOW 200 kg bench press, thats serious weight
10+ years in making
How activated are your triceps in this move though ? Seems to me because the angle between shoulder and hand basically stays the same, you're using more your whole upper body to move your opponents hand downward.
You are pressing you arm down, thats how you activate it
@@voiceofarmwrestling but you're not really moving your forearm away from your shoulder.the angle at your elbow doesn't open. There is a point where your bicep is stopping your forearm from getting close to your shoulder.
EXCELLENT!!! This is a great addition to you informational/technical videos. THANKS!
You are very welcome Benjamin!
How you defend when you are a presser? I am a presser myself. And i am very comfortable with that technique. Then, how am i gonna defend if im facing a strong toproller etc?
I started encountering this problem as a strong presser as well. I found that you have to be able to outlast your opponent. You're basically sitting on top of your arm and they're trying to bicep curl your entire frame. It's a lot easier to out-endure someone if you can manage to get on top of them
@@rainyriderr1112 i see. Thanks mate! Good information!
Basically the goal of an inside press is to throw your frame at your opponent. A toproll counters it (from my understanding) because it's hard to press someone to a pin if they keep their wrist away. Which is why flop wrist pressing is its own category.
who wants to see a match between them and ofc Vladislav?
Us vs Vladislavs?

I don't really like the King's move and triceps press. Just stick with the hook or toprol. Those are real battles. Peace v

I've done wrestling and BJJ for 10 years weight training for 15. i've been training arm wrestling specific for a year now. I get some minor clavicle pain. im 82KG and train with a guy thats 128KG. I feel my tendons are OK. Or should I still be getting stronger before I go to press?
