Hello from Northern Ireland. Great video with good picture and sound quality. Its nice to be able to actually hear the engine during driving. So many reviewers talk too much and drown out background noise. Looking forward to more videos :-)
Had an 08 reg Aygo for the last 6 yrs and wouldn't swap it for the new model! Great fun as a runabout and comfy enough to take on a 150 mile drive. Will only change it when electric is the sole option.
I bought a AygoX 14 days ago. I'm happy with it, but the suspension is very hard and every little bump on the road is felt. Handling is excellent and electronics are good. If this one got stolen tomorrow, I'd buy again.
The reason the suspension is so firm is to make up for the raised ride height it goes some way to compensating for it however the car still feels like its going to fall over the second you take a corner 5mph too fast.
Probably going to be popular with A) young people because it's cheap to insure B) old people because it's upright and easy to get into if you're getting stiff and achey. Probably an excellent "city" car.
@@msnl_ Unless you are from a privilege family, it's just a pipe dream for a kid to own those cars. Ofcourse, if given the chance people would pick a luxurious car over this.
@@sstudyambiente , could advise how has it been driving so far? I would like to purchase it, but have some doubts, some people say that it has an issue with a leaking water on a back of the car?
I adore my aygo so would love to upgrade to this in the future! Such a fun durable little car ☺️ Shame there’s no more storage for the back passengers but then again it’s just me most of the time!
@@9a2er , no Yaris is £4k more expensive and if you take with PCP the rate % as well is higher for Yaris than for Aygo X, that brings the car much more expensive at the end.

yes, same engine made better, i have 2011 yaris 1.0, the engine was very good since invention 100gr co2 in 2006 which is enough for euro 6 very high thermal efficiency 4.3-6.3 litres consumption mostly 5.2 on mine that has some wear problems it sounds like a tractor
Thanks for the review , i notice you didn,t take the little City car up a mountain and then complain about having to keep changing gears like some others did .Also you didn,t miss a gear change then blame the car! ,
Pretty cool little car. But 72hp really only exists in Europe or Japan. I imagine having my staple in europe. I will have a Twizy and Ami. Wonder if i would get this too
I like your style of car review; it is similar to taking a car for a test drive. I recommend keeping the subtitles on screen for longer. That would enable viewers to read the text and look on screen to see what the text highlights. 👍
Thanks! And yeah, I try my best but sometimes I film a certain detail for 3 seconds and then I have to work with that 3 seconds of footage to display some text. Not always that easy. ;)
Increased ground clearance (X) suggests that this car is designed to move on lower quality roads, dirt roads, etc. In my opinion, low-profile tires do not fit it because it is easy to damage the rim. If the car is visually in the 'cross-country' style, then the low-profile tires do not fit it at all, especially those in the film, which bulge at the bottom and therefore look as if they have little air.
Its probably to improve the handling just like the fact the suspension is incredibly stiff yet this car still feels like its going to fall over in the corners.
Yes, I didn't have the time to make a review for that one, but I did just post a POV drive video with it on my other channel "CarStan POV Test Drives". It's a CVT so it's noisy when accelerating. Personally I would choose the manual gearbox, much cheaper as well.
Aygo Cross gets the same CVT as the yaris 1,5, the previous Aygo had the Toyota MMT (AMT) transmission, with was a manual with an e-clutch, so it wasnt the best by a long shot
So basically the old Aygo with fat wheels and a higher suspension and the IQ front stuck on, no improved engine so not enough power, it’s was bad enough before now it has the added weight
The wheels are tall not fat, the car is horrendous it feels like its going to fall over. Also back to the wheels due to the weird tyre size you get one option on replacment tyres that just so happen to cost £171 each.
Imagine Toyota Indonesia bring Agyo X to Indonesia which will replace Agya, I'm pretty sure they will replace Toyota Global headunit with their crappy headunit and also remove some features like TSS
".... Rear door sounds a bit cheap...". Er.., yes, it's an Aygo. And so do all the other doors. They all do that, sir. Just like the Citroen C1, Pug 107, 108 etc. The upside is that treat them right, ie change the oil and filters when they're due..., and these cars are just about bombproof.
@@Olyshka. Not sure I'm the best person to ask. In just under 50 years of driving, I've owned lots of cars. 2 were brand new. Within weeks, or couple of months, I've regretted doing so. Simply because once the new car feel and smell has dissipated, I's just another car. I never took out finance, and bought what I could afford. New cars lose a hugechunk of their value the moment they leave the forecourt, they depreciate greatly in the first 3 years, and for my money I could buy something more interesting that's some years old. Anyway, the question you asked ? Neither of those 2. In general, I'd steer clear of cars with small capacity, turbocharged engines, due to reliability issues further down the line. So that, I'd say discounts the C3. The Aygo ? The Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 was a joint venture between Peugeot/Citroen and Toyota. They were built in a special factory, using Toyota production methods ( good ), an engine that was/is essentally a Daihatsu ( Toyota ) engine, with much of the design flair being contributed by Peugeot/Citroen. The three models are the same car, with just exterior differences. the engines are bombproof, just need regular oil and filter changes. The model is however, old. I test drove one, the engine could do with a turbo and or supercharger like the tsi VW's. The Cvt gearbox is smooth but my current 64 plate aygo is nippier than this and zero tax so I won't be buying the Xmodel.

tested one for the day, its diabolically weak on power, mainly lack of low torque, it needs a bag of revs jsut to pull away promptly. Our Hyundai I10 should only have 65bhp compared to the X's 72bhp and they are near exactly the same size, yet the Hyundai leaves this slug for dead.
Nice car but ,Cheap plastic materials not worth the big price tag. Way too expensive for a city car. You can buy a nearly new, used premium car for that price.
Like the design of this New Aygo but quality interior not upgrade more plastic one more time poor engine power & the Price is very expansive starting 15990 € no way Toyota
Aha exactly the same engine layout and engine of the current Toyota Aygo. Nothings new. Pricey, no longer a city car. The front is too wide and the back. Wheels are tall and skinny. The petrol economy costs are now average, as is the same engine but bulkier, heavier car. A snip at £17000. The Ltd edition a whopping £20,000!
The engine are very poor for uphill (I am surprised you never took test drive uphill (deep uphill) the car failed as I been test drive it. The car can't cope with deep uphill with (four person including the driver myself) with CVT and manual with awful revvy engine. This car are fine if with hybrid on it and better turbo engine. I prefer the Honda Jazz 1.5 CVT they seem ride very well uphill
That rear door opening is a bit pathetic, even a child will struggle to get through that tiny gap 🤦♂ for example - Smart ForFour rear door's open 90 degrees - they could have done something similar ? Decent spec starts around 18-20k no thanks

Do you really want another review where a guy is spreading his arms next to a car in the thumbnail...? 'cause I'm tired of seeing those... If a car comes with voice commands, you will hear my voice though lol.

I love how the exterior color going into the interior. I wish more cars would do that. And it looks way better than more plastic

that's a cheap "feature". nobody actually wants exposed metal on the interior, like the 70's cars
Not nice when you're resting your arm against rock hard metal panels.

Thanks. Nice review. No BS. No annoying talk. No padding. No biased sales BS. Very nice little car too.
It's not little anymore that's not a city car!. The front is so wide, more than a bmw, probably costs more petrol to run now.
Nice vídeo, great job showing the inside and the engine. Also, good capture on the engine noise 👍.
