What did you guys think of the load rate? Good or not that great?
Owner operators that haul for ups get around 2.25 to 2.50 a mile
I thought running south east only pays better, but not as much miles but good enough to stay alive. That guy Just Truckin,,guy Jayson does well be he's a total O/O driver. I always felt lease truck drivers get screwed too much. Big overhead for just a truck rental if you think about it
Not bad but you probably need a little more money
Great to see your new venture continuing and I guess we'll get some different videos as you'll be driving to lots of random places. If the lease company charges 13 cents a mile, roughly how much does fuel cost per mile (on average of course)?
Great
funny to see you saying heavy load while im legally driving a 168000 pound log truck combination here in Finland. world's just different here and there.
hell of a long truck im good with 12 meters for now
100 ton in Libya, good night bro...
same here. 34.5meters max lenght and weightwise 100ton. but those combs are driving on certain roads. 76ton is max for forest drivable combs.
@@heshamelhashmey4538 how are the roads in Libya ?
It's so bad, because the weight...

@16:42 who is old enough to remember that 70's TV show " WKRP in Cincinnati "?
Lonnie was hot
The thing by the front bumper that you took off, is an air dam it makes the truck more aerodynamic which saves fuel
Hi Rusty remember the one rule to success in the trucking industry. Drive slower if you have the time on the log to get there in time. Saving fuel is the name of success. I run 60 on the cruse always retired before my 60 birthday 37 years of trucking 30 as owner operator. Good Luck and keep the rubber on the pavement
I was thinking the same! If Rusty didnt need to get there until Monday morning, I'd have driven there REALLY slowly to save fuel. Boring if you're used to driving at 70 but free money in your pocket!
I'm totally agree with you guys.If you drive with 60 miles instead 70 miles it saves about 20 percent of fuel.Witch is really good in long term.
Rusty I love watching your videos. Way too old to do it myself but my father in law and brother in law drove until their life ended but it always intriged me. Carry on and I will keep watching.
"there's the woods over there if I have to take a deuce..."😆
100,000 miles is, WOW! And I like that you caught the truck getting to 500,000 miles.
Hey B9BOT1 how are you?
@@JavealF good
The front end looks much cleaner without that make shift spoiler attached.
Yes, keep the videos coming!
Hey Rusty a little word of advice I know you have a couple of years under your belt but make sure you check to see how much your picking up before you top off your tanks because if you're heavy on the nose 2 full fuel tanks are going to put you over on your drives.
He's probably on his own rig atm :) Also, that rental could have 5th wheel all over the place ;)
Thanks.. that's great advice
Thanks, I enjoy your vids. Very informative and enjoyable. Good luck!!
Good thing the tire did it in the parking lot and not on the highway.
hi Rusty, I am from Eritrea and I really enjoy your videos, specially the countryside beauty of nature when you drive through. one day am gonna come to the US.
Excellent video!! Mike from Cleveland Ohio!
Wouldn't buying a semi truck be cheaper? Then even though you have to pay for the repairs the lease part is gone and the truck is truly yours. I found some sleeper semis with about 600k-700k miles for less than $20,000 so check em out!
I'm assuming he is only leasing this truck long enough to complete the Volvo rebuild he is doing.
@@Ken-xv4sb Makes sense, I hadn't thought about that 😅
@@Ken-xv4sb If that's the case he's married to that lease forever!
Jerky Jerkface, where did you find these semis?
@@MikeBrown-ii3pt nah he does a wonderful job at fixing semis and driving
Youssef from Morocco was here lol keep up with wonderful content. PRO TRUCK DRIVER
Good job. Stay safe my friend. God bless you. 🙏
You stayed at the Loves in White House, TN it looks like! I live off the last exit on I65 right before you enter Kentucky.
I stayed there once...witnessed 2 trucks getting smashed in the same night. Damn that place is a mess.
Yes, please do more load cost. Great video!
Would be nice to see a monthly budget... How much it costs for Lease and usage, wear and tear, gas etc... for one month divided by number of paid miles for the month... to know if your cost is $1.75 per mile or $2.80 or whatever... then knowing how much an individual load paid would have more meaning.
Yes… please keep telling him this
Even tho it's not your truck, some wax or rain-x on the windshield works wonders in the pouring rain. Takes the stress off your eyesight.
Always enjoy your trucking videos Rusty.
your my fav trucker on youtube!
Great video, i love your videos, could you do a video about the total cost incurred in a truck in terms of fuel consumption, insurance covers, tyres and truck services cost per load or per month
Are you gonna use the Volvo yourself on the road when you finish the rebuild?
walked away from my computer so all i heard was rusty saying he gets paid good for taking big loads, and he has to check for pti's before each load i was like holy shit rusty is being pimped out 😆sorry stupid joke i know
19:01 I'm so surprised to see that even Americans do Re-threading kind of stuff...We got truckers who do so,most of the time...btw,I am from India 🇮🇳
Awesome video quality 👍
2019-2021 cascadias are being recalled for faulty steering. You could lose control and crash. Stay safe Guys
Pretty sure he said his is a 2018
Yeah I know I watched it on a different video I thought I’d let people know
You have a good pronounce of english. I'm learnig foreign language by your videos. Thanx
Enjoyed the trip, fuel prices are going up everywhere.Everyone is increasing prices to compensate for fuel inflation.
Annnnd NOW. 6months later look how it is 😬
Figuring 6 mpg plus mileage of .13. Cost you about $730 for the load, plus whatever you are paying for the truck and insurance. So you made better then $2200 for the load. Pretty good money.
Loads of love rusty from Mumbai india 🇮🇳
Great video,waiting for volvo rebuild
Love to see rusty being successful 💙
Just be safe on the road
good you removed the ugly airdam, thank you for the video again! Greetings from Finland :)
Aftermarket taco bell 🤣🤣
He probably deleted it from his body with the quickness
Hey rusty you take a plastic shopping bag and hook the handles on each arm rest in between the seats and you deuce in it it’s the trucker secret you can double it up for the super deuce
What if its squirty type deuce, hes gonna soil the arm rests. He needs some plastic wrap too and lysol just in case
Seriously? That’s funny! Shopping bags almost ALWAYS have holes in them.
@@jimmock1155 Good point ,might be better off with a large hefty trash bag so the deuce can fall where it nay.
Frightliner is one of my fevret truck,
Well your truck will consume more fuel of course that heavy load and that pay rate is pretty decent! As long as you don’t have to go cross the states with pricey fuel! I sometimes have load that paid up to $4.25 $4.5 but that’s quite rare! Anyway you did a good job man!
Love your video's m keep making them thanks for the good information
Another great video Rusty ! Appreciate all the details on e rate and mileage , keep up the great content!
I’ve always
wanted to ride cross country in an OTR truck.
I'm learning on these videos
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there 👍😀
As always really good videos. I think you should upload more often. :)
Also, do you take a request? That moving the rear axles, you showed how to release them but then went on with other things. COuld you may show the full extent of it with how it operates and how it affects weight distribution sometime? I mentioned it to my friends but cant find the video where you actually did the whole process.
Ive never seen it before you showed it.
We dont have that here so it would be nice to be able to share a video and show others. Its a excellent feature.
Thanks for a good vid. :)
/Tony
Keep on with this type of videos buddy ! Really interesting and catchy 🙏🏻
When walking around the truck and checking tires, I think it would be easier to use a hammer than wearing runners and kicking tires lol, just saying.
He’s a professional steering wheel holder
@@ssoltys4128 And that's all, for myself I rather be grinding the gears
@@ssoltys4128 do some professionals lick the steering wheel?
Hate the regen / Def systems .... hrnse why my truck got deleted ... plus it increased my fuel mileage an power out put after
I hope you good lake 👍👍👍
Great video as always! Greetings from India, Rusty!🙏
Thanks for the video Rusty, drive careful, God Bless..................................see ya
69mph limit 🤣👌👌
nice to see you russty
500k on beat...nice.
I run from Texas to Ohio many times
Rusty : it is a waist of fuel blur, blur blur
Awesome video. Love your style ✌🏻👌🏻👍🏻💙💛
Hey rusty 👋
I’m starting to enjoy following you. I’m looking at retiring from an education career and always wanted to experience truck driving: two kids in college: not sure if age is a problem. You mentioned that 100,000 miles a year is pretty good. Would that only be about $40k to $50k a year driving for a company?
Also, when you have ‘layovers’ I know you can drive to stores, etc. with the cab. How would you explore outdoor areas like hiking, going to parks, etc. ?
another good vid
Rusty you mean RECAP FOR THE TIRES 🤣👌 I guess it’s same
I think you should get your Freightliner fixed and start driving it so you dont have to pay lease fees and pay per mile fees.
That grey bottom piece of the bumper is probably for fuel - aero dynamic
Great!!! I have friends in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!!!
Did you establish your own LLC before embarking unto your own operator driving?
A very nice video again thnx.
And 500k sounds like it's just in time for an inframe. And the one-box lol....but 12mpg is looking sweet!
Great Video but please buy a tire thumper and quit kicking the tires with your tennis shoes that doesn’t tell you anything.
Part of that spoiler came off and sliced the tire. Too bad.
You want heavy? I'm in Canada and we are allowed 52000ish lbs (and that's without spread axels) on tandems and 72000ish on triaxles. Very rarely haul less than 40000ish lbs .
Please do a video on per load vs per CPM
Hard work watching this drivel
3,500$? That is a driver month payment in Sweden
I didn’t get 3500$ in his pocket. He have to pay for the lease, fuel, wear and tear on the truck etc.
Great video
Do a video explaining the weight balance on the trailer! The crazy guy at the place I worked at used to do 100k miles a year in a tow truck!
No he didn’t. That’s an average of 273 miles per day. Every single day. No days off.
Which brand gps do you use, and how well does it work for you?
Lol, over share with the taco and the poop comment. Totally get it though.
Did you drop off that first load by the airport in hammond? I go there quiet a bit to pick up transformers for my company
Bro just wondering who you broker thru
Yes sir cool stuff 👍
getting paid to see the country what an experience , have you made it to alaska yet ?
Hi rusty nice to see you coming to my home state and even a little close to where I live. You should review an international truck for fun. I am very interested in what you think about them.
Love the vlogs I’m in the uk & our trucks are limited to 56mph 😁
Throw some RainX washer fluid in there. Almost no wipers needed after few jugs!
🇺🇸 Make America Great Again brother🇺🇸
Howdy howdy Rusty be safe
About 4 times around the Earth 🤯🤯🤯
Be safe out there and careful.
Dude you passed within like 5 miles of my house in Louisville!
I had a load from VT to Covington, TN not too long ago. All of my nav systems were trying to route me through Cincinnati to Louisville then through Crashville to Covington. Had to make an executive decision to change that and run through Indy to I-57.
How’d it work out for you? Lol did the executive decision pay off?
@@RedsBigRig it worked well enough for me.
1:16 probably Dunder Mifflin
Great to see you 😍😍👌👌✌✌
nice Bro
Awesome be safe
Same switch gear to my Mercedes Actros!
Keep safe driving idol
Rusty always coq teasing us with the pay load amount...lol...c'mon bruh...
So when you get your Volvo rebuild on the road again will you be using that versus leasing through Ryder?
