Hi Chris good video as always. I like this delta fleece because it has no pockets and I like for midlayer, probably I buy it next mounths. Perfect with the Proton hibryd. I don’t go with the delta hibryd because I have a Lundhags Padje, similar concept in a wool jacket. Last episode with the Patagonia Torrentshell was interesting too, my wife and I have these jackets, not very breathable, because of these buy the gamma for my wife and I probably go too. We live in a not very rainy place. Sorry for my english. Thanks

I just recently purchased the proton lightweight. After the fact, I found the delta hybrid hoody on sale. Is there any significant variance between the two?
The delta hybrid is just a lightweight fleece with some wind resistant nylon on the upper half. The proton lightweight is a really nice soft, comfortable jacket. I would want to wear the proton over the delta as an outer layer. The delta is nice, but it's just a lightweight fleece, not a jacket.
I would stay with your normal size. They do fit true to size. these fleeces fit well, and are suited for layers on top of them. I have both in XL, and they fit me great.
You could probably find a Delta MX (or Konseal, which was the precursor that was rebranded into the Delta MX) on the used gear market. They are the same Polartec Power Dry material in slightly different cuts. Then for a year, I think the Delta Hoody was still using Polartec Power Dry. The most recent update is using the Phasic AR II material, which I have no experience with. 🤔

I like all the Gammas too, they are not waterproof, but do resist water very well.
