I never realized before... "Graveyard Shift" was written by Dan Povenmire, the creator of Phineas and Ferb!
I can picture Dr. Doof telling this horror story to Perry or Milo Murphy and his friend like a bad time story...

Every time Squid leaves like when he moved to Squidville or when he got sent to the future/past, he always realizes in those moments that he misses SpongeBob. There are also moments he gets protective over SpongeBob as well. Squid only likes him it seems when he thinks he will never see SpongeBob again
@@andykishore There are episodes that hint that Squidward likes SpongeBob, this episode here, the one where he moves to Squidville where he feels great at first but then realizes that he misses SpongeBob, the Christmas episode where Squidward pretends to be Santa in order to make SpongeBob happy, the one where Mr. Krabs sells SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman and Squidward tells him that he should be ashamed of himself, the pizza delivery episode where Squidward stood up for SpongeBob, SB-129 where Squidward says that he misses SpongeBob. Squidward is shown as a character who is mostly annoyed by SpongeBob but does like and considers him to be a friend deep down inside. That's at least what Stephen Hillenburg and the original writers were going for in the first 3 seasons. Things changed a lot once Paul Tibbitt and new writers took over.

Graveyard Shift will always be my favorite episode, but that “Mr. Puff” joke is phenomenal.
SpongeBob really got screwed in the Krusty Love episode. Mr. Krabs was just running him rampant. He did the right thing by telling his boss what he thinks. 😅

Nope. Nosferatu's creepy looking self was making the lights flicker. So there was SOMETHING to be scared of after all, even if the guys just saw him as a playful prankster!

Fun Fact: The german name for the Hash Slinging Slasher is the "Hackfleischhassende Zerhacker" which means the "groundbeef-hating chopper" (Chopper like chopping things to pieces). Just wanted to say it because i think it has a funny ring to it.
And ironically that nosferatu came from a old German film from the 1920s silent film

This isn’t the last time Krabs will pull this 24-hour service bit off. And it still took him until his third try to think to hire new employees for the night shift.
This episode used to scare the living hell out of me as a young kid. One of my fave episodes in the entire show.
Funny thing about this episode: back in eighth grade I told Squidward’s story to a girl I had a crush on and looked at me smiling through the whole story. Then at the end she said, “You really think I was listening to you?”
Later we laughed about it and even my mom laughed. 😂

When Squidward said “I mean who wants a krabby patty at 3 in the morning?”, I was reminded of that episode of “Everybody Loves Raymond”. When Ray gave his brother, Robert, $1000 to help him out, but he wanted to use that money to take a trip to Las Vegas. And at the end, he tries to convinces Ray to go with him.
Robert: “Room services cheeseburgers at 3 in the morning.”
Ray: “We’re gonna need another thousand.”

The only one who would ever want to work 24/7 would be SpongeBob.
I find it funny how a lot of people love "Graveyard Shift" but for some reason hate "Fear of Krabby Patty" (Season 4) which is pretty much the same thing except it's not about working nights...
I think Fear of the Krabby Patty is worse since Krabs overworked his employees without them giving them an ounce of a break in which took a mental turmoil onto SpongeBob that what he loves to do at his job became his biggest fear.
