  • A few tips, tricks and mistakes to avoid if you plan to take a long rail trip in the UK. This trip included legs on the South Easter rail into London, down the Tube, as well as the Northern Line. The trip was a success as I got to where I was trying but can help a newbie familiarize yourselves with the rail. #Rail #Travel #TravelEngland #travelenglish #NothernLine #Tube #SouthernLine #LondonWaterloo #lakedistrict #traveltips #travelhacks

The title of this video is, I assume, intentionally misleading. It provides almost no guidance, and what guidance it provides is mostly wrong. There are peak and off-peak tickets, but there are also tickets valid only on a specific train. Ride a train with the wrong ticket you will be subject to an eye watering penalty fare. So get some real guidance before enjoying the UKs unreliable train service. Also, get a rail card, save you a ton of money after even one trip.

I feel much more confident trying trains now! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

Oof i cant imagine how expensive the cumulative cost of those tickets were (assuming you just bought them on the day)

British ppl don’t understand the British rail system. Once on train it’s ok, it’s buying the tickets.

It’s United Kingdom and the ppl are British. England as an independent country ended about 1000 years ago

@@tremensdelirious I'm pretty sure that England still exists as part of the UK.
