I think this will sate my L.A. By Night cravings very nicely thank you. Great to see Ash and Josephine again. Wonderful to see B Dave Walters getting the ultimate Ventrue power trip of being God/Storyteller. Look forward to getting to see more of these other players who are new to me!
Found this from ep 1 Denver by night. Really liked B.Dave Walters in L.A. by Night as a player. Super awesome as a GM. And I like that this seems more like the home table than a studio.
Whoa that started abruptly! But once I got the hang of what was going on and learned who is who, I think I might enjoy this! Always cool to see Eva and Fiona again, and I already like how the new players present their characters.
The cast of characters here is quite delightful, and I enjoyed seeing the various people who have done other things have clear unique idenities. Love the interaction with Alcuis and the others, especially with how all the other players seem to just really enjoy his character. Also, St.Valentine totally has the scooby doo van, c'mon guys!

The audio is a little quiet and unclear at times, but it's a fun time and I already like all the players from other shows. Definitely something I'm going to have to keep watching.

I love B. Dave Walters' style. It's always hard to balance when to interrupt the players because stuff is happening but he's able to let the players carry on when they're on to something but need a little room to get there on their own. Also he's seven feet tall.
I'd love to see a crossover with 2 L.A. characters, 2 Seattle, 2 Long Beach combatting some world shattering event. As told by Jason Carl. Maybe staring Victor & Nellie G, 2 from Long Beach, Betty Lancaster & Jamison Keen from Seattle.

I'm a huge fan of LA By Night, & the talented #vamily actors, but I find this one incredibly difficult to get into. Too many people crowded together, like Critical Role, and no clue who anyone is or what clan they are... Very disorienting
If this helps I'm fairly certain The two valentine's are guest characters reducing the main cast to four. Based to behaviour/disciplines I'd say we got a Brujah, Gangrel, a Ventrue and a Malkavian (or more accurately two Malkavian in one body)
I dont think 6 people are too many but thats just an opinion/preference. As far as knowing who people are, I can agree with that. Its hard to immerse yourself without proper descriptions of the characters. The players don't really play it up and you can kind of see they are more comfortable with the G portion of RPG. Again though, its just a playstyle/preference, not necessarily a negative for everyone. After watching L.A by Night it was obvious Mr. Walters was a big gun buff so his Storytelling style would definitely be gun/combat heavy. There is a group playing Seattle by Night which is very story driven but as a Storyteller myself, my creative juices are sweetened by both playstyles. I like B Dave Walters story and his use of the feds and Lula is cute, so I'll definitely stay up to date on this series.
42 minutes in, and while it's entertaining so far, they *really* need to sort out their mic levels or just talk a little louder, cos some are a good volume, others I can barely hear. Hope the audio quality improves, otherwise I'll have to stop watching cos I'm hard of hearing and have the vod at max volume, so if I can't understand or hear what's being said, there's no point in continuing. That one complaint aside, I just finished watching all of LA by Night in about a week, and need something to tide me over until Season 5 begins.
Sadly, it doesn't even in Season 2. The mics pick up so much of the room that the speech is getting artifacts. I've endured it so far because the content is just so good. I use a Edge/Chrome extension called "Audio Channel" that has a compressor + EQ, it's quite useful in helping hear things better.
