The science of memory is well understood, it's not well known. In this short video, I tell about two of the most useful memory and learning techniques research has uncovered.
Here's a free paper about learning. It will transform how you do it!

Wasn't recall mentioned in many of the books you've mentioned in the past like "Make it stick"? So this is not something new.. you're just recalling it?
Part of science is to do the same thing over and over in regular intervals to see if the results change.
Would you want to remember everything? Feel like remembering what's important to you is the best way.
You're probably right, although on the other hand, if you can remember everything you should definitely be capable of remembering the important things at that point
@@drwho7165 that would be ideal. I graduated med school about 7 years ago, I remember very little about the pathology of tongue and inner mouth malignancies (surgical kidney transplant fellowship). Perhaps for the best. haha.
Just there is so much to remember, forgetting is a blessing sometimes if you can easily look it up.
if you know what you know and don't know, and have an intuitive understanding that is more helpful in a world with internet. Rather than random factoids with little true knowledge.
What just happened?
You experienced a commercial 😊
Oook
I can't believe how funnier these videos are getting.
Agree. I like watching them even though I’m not interested in learning Python 🐍
I wish there was a funny emoticon besides the laugh emoticon, to express my joy at watching this video 😂😂😂.
the brain needs to be warmed up. Trick is to reread the first thing, page, chapter you read, and keep doing it. This will warm up the brain 🧠 for the topic concerned and following chapters will be remembered more easily.
I really had a good laugh with this video. A lesson for myself is to tread cautiously into the learning to learn domain as it can become a blackhole similar to feeling productive by reading productivity books. Don't fail to learn or fail to work productively.
I think it's when we get lost in optimizing, instead of just doing, because we still get the same dopamine hit of being "productive"?
Rightly said.
No Giles' were harmed in the making of this video.
Much.
1:58 recall and ellaborative interrogation
Brilliant video
Nice video!
I got an ad before this video about a nasa neuroscientist created a song that has theta wave which stimulates your hippocampus unlocking your full brain potential for learning and memory. 😂 didn’t need to watch this just listen to some theta waves. 😝
Flash cards are a tremendous tool, when used properly.
It was a Brilliant Commercial folks…
... a "Brilliant Commercial" or a brilliant commercial neither are interesting... ?
@@timbushell8640 as an AI bot I noticed you’ve been looking at a ‘learning’ videos recently. Again I am a bot and you may chose to reply…anything you say or do after answering my question here will be placed in a Large Language Model (LLM).
I joined your discord but I only have access to welcome and videos. I'm also enrolled in your udemy course. Could I get access to more of the discord please and thank you.
1:08 Not thinking about it! 😂 😉
Justin sung is roasted here?
What was this about?
Next time you say science 🧪 play a clip of she blinded me with science 😁
Thats funny, but what was it about?
the science
Whats going on here? I think I'm gonna head over to Justin Sung😭
first
what is science ? IDK 😂 😂
I have ADD. This sounds like suffering.
Have you tried Anki? It's a note card system that spaces out the repetition depending on your memory, so things you know get spaced out, and things you don't are repeated more often.
I meant to watch this video, but I forgot.
Murder footage

A 3 minute cringe inducing skit to just say 'recall and elaboration' followed by an ad for almost 2 minutes.
This video is a parody of what this channel used to produce
First here
Please. Get back to Python videos. 😵💫
You can get back to python videos, but these are way better.
people are lazy so this method also is not working :)
You can tell you made this lackluster, drawn out, stupid theatrics video so you could just include your sponsor. Shame on you.
