Here's my personal guide to playing support, follow along it can get complicated. Is your ammo low? Drop ammo. Is a teammate's ammo low? Drop ammo. Did you kill an enemy? Drop ammo. Did you revive a squadmate that is a new feature to this game? Drop ammo. Not sure if you dropped ammo? Drop ammo. Saw a friendly tank drop by? Drop ammo. Did you see an enemy support drop ammo? Drop ammo in response to their attempt for dominance. Did you just respawn? Drop ammo. Are you dropping ammo? Drop more ammo. Hack the game not for wall hacks or no clip but to drop ammo for all time. Then drop ammo. Not dropping enough ammo? Get the ammo crate instead. Then drop ammo.

the reveal trailer was one of the worst trailers i have ever seen, it was confusing and made the game look really bad to be honest, the campaign's prologue should've been the reveal trailer, since it was cinematic but not to the point where it became weird and fuzzy either way, the game is better than what i expected, and support is building up to not be a pain in the ass like in Battlefield 1
Support has been my main since battlefield 3, I used to run carnage with the m60 despite its lower rate of fire, I would get countless squad wipes in those narrow hallways such as the one on grand bazaar
Good times. That objective in the middle of Grand Bazaar was a straight up meat grinder. I used to love the M60 on defense for Rush in Operation Metro. The hall in the locker area was a straight up shooting gallery. Extended mag made me invincible lmfao.
I think the ammo crate just needs to simply automatically resupply the troops instead of having them interact with it. I found that people rarely interact with them especially early in the games life.
This change is what allows the box to resupply gadgets. Technically this is a better resupply than the old way you just have to press it yourself. Now when you want ammo you can't fight at the same time. Same with health. This was the solution to the healing/ammo issues this franchise has had for years. Where your either drowning in ammo and always healing like in launch bf4 or you struggle to get anything like in bf1. I like this. People will get over it and the system will become the new norm.
medium machine guns are also really good for attacking if you fire into the objective and suppress enemies for your teammates and you’ll get a lot of hits and kills if you mount your gun in a good spot
@@declanolivetti4319 Don't worry, once you interact with the ammo crate, you only get 1 round of munition of your gadget and the ammo crate interaction will have cooldown time after you grab it, 10sec or maybe more so you can't spam your gadget such as panzerfaust

Mnguyen559 I really hope people don’t cry nerf. If someone is set with bipod close / medium range then they deserve to have good firepower and melt enemies. Thats what LMGs are for. At range people become bullet sponges plus if someone runs up on you when you’re standing that have the advantage because the bullet spread is crazy. I think it’s perfect where it is and I pray dice doesn’t cater to all the cry babies who cry nerf bc they suck at the game
I'll be honest, the MG-42 with fire rate mod is the best SMG in the game because it's literally just as accurate firing from the hip as an actual SMG and it has a higher rate of fire and more damage per shot. It melts people with short bursts. That being said, you basically have to be inside another player to actually hit him with hip fire. Bi-podded, I find it to be reasonably accurate and I'd rather go larger capacity for anything that's not deathmatch. I do think the extra damage to planes mod is a waste cause you have to be bi-podded to be accurate which makes it very hard to hit a plane flying over you. I think the gun is fine because there's drastic tradeoffs, but the MG-34 needs something to make it a good alternative to the 42

@@mvximus3188 Dude, that comment was 3 years ago. There's been multiple patches that balanced out the MG-42. At the time, the MG-42 was the only heavy MG worth using because the MG-34 didn't have any positives over the MG-42, meaning the MG-34 wasn't a viable alternative to the MG-42. I said nothing about faction alternatives because obviously everyone knows that weapons are globally available.

you know what i dont even play battlefield anymore but i tell you what LvL you are a joy to watch and listen to when you talk about battlefield it clear this games means alot to you even beyond being your favourite multiplayer shooter keep up the good work and content
Definitely my favorite class to play in BF5. The starting weapon (KE7) is better than even the level 20 option with the right specializations for people who PTFO, resupply and build (IMO).
One of my favorite changes is bringing the shotgun to the support class. I do miss having weapons that work on all classes like in bf4 (shotguns, DMRs, etc.). I wish shotguns and semi auto rifles could be used on any class, but this is certainly better than bf1's weapon system.
I fell in love with the MG34, I prolly use it offensively more than I should but it's alright. Locking down areas and providing accurate and sustainable fire helps with the main assault that my squad and team conduct. I'm sure the MG42 will increase that ten fold.
Pick Lewis gun. Select all recoil reducing talent traits. Use 3x scope. Sit back and let that hackuzations roll in from chat. It's almost hilarious how many games I've been accused of hacking because this thing is a fucking laser beam even standing up ADS. At first I was using the big magazine and increase bipod accuracy. Then after using the MG42 I realized bipod bugs are cancer in this game so just take all the run and gun talents where I can ADS standing with reduced recoil. So much more fun.

The best part about this video is that after the Beta DICE's telemetry showed that support class usage was actually only 14% - the lowest out of the four classes lol
A detail that probably the people who says the game is just a BF1 reskined take a look at the reload animation and you'll notice the weapon blurs as if you are keeping your focus to the front and not the weapon props to DICE
BF1 was my first ever BF game and I am a support with repair tool ever since and I had repair tool even before they buffed it to repair AA guns. When my team tanks saw me they literally say oh!...... support Jesus has arrived!
The single player is bad but multiplayer is where the gold is! :) I don't think there is anyone who's gonna get BF5 for the story. It's all about multiplayer.
Bad Company 1 and 2 had the only good Battlefield singleplayer experiences to date, i don't know why DICE even bothers anymore even though they were pretty generic and bland, at least BF4 and BF1 rewarded you with weapons and skins for playing the singleplayer apparently BFV gives you nothing besides a pretentious collection of stories

It looks good gameplay, they have improved but it doesn’t have that ww2 feel to immerse yourself in it and how the characters are somewhat cartoony, is it so much to ask for the modelling and authenticity to be incorporated?

Becuz it isnt medium machine gun or else I could aim down sights with it. Also, the ammo crate supplies ammo without interacting with it. The ammo crate supplies one gadget only if you interact with it.

I've played support in every Battlefield since I started in BF3. I'm loving it in bfv, but the ammo box is hot garbage. Nobody bothers pressing the required key to get ammo. I put it down and they still stare at me and spam "I need ammo!" smh

I really liked the staged demostrations of all the gadgets, it really helped with visualisation.
The MG42 with the light bolt upgrade is insane just melts small groups.

A tip if you want a less cinematic and more immersive experience: turn off music. I was surprised how much this changed the atmosphere
