Haha, we would have to have some brown in there for Belle’s hair I think as well. Maybe a Mylar Belle balloon on top. Perhaps even a twisted balloon rose? Lots of possibilities.

I am wearing gloves similar in color to my shirt and similar in color to my background. If I had the money, I would just use a green screen suit and disappear entirely into the background and be Sage The Balloon Ghost.

How many days in advance can I make this and it not dilate?
Hi! Columns can be made the night before if you keep them overnight airtight in large plastic bags. This will ensure the luster of the balloons is not tarnished in any way and they will look beautifully perfect the next day.
I made several of these for practice and they sat around my hotel room for many days and they still retained their structure perfectly - it’s just that the balloons didn’t look as beautiful as they did when they were fresh. I know there’s lots to do when making an event happen, just try to see if you can set yourself up with time to make this the day before at the earliest.
What kind or brand of ribbon do you recommend for columns/ for everything? Does it matter? Is there any chance the edge of the ribbon can damage and even pop a balloon if it rubs across the middle of one? May if I twisted a hot air balloon with helium and tied it wrong it may pop. I have festival coming up soon! Also, hwat do you think of my icon? Pretty good huh? I know a guy. *wink* *nod* *nod* Props for your tutorials.
Ribbon width, quality etc? Since Balloons are temporary maybe type of ribbon is not an issue. It would be nice to get a few good rolls and most useful colors to not spend a lot starting out or waste money on types I won't use. Thanks for your input. Is your name actually Sage?
Hey! That icon looks quite great, I must say. In my experience, I have never bought any balloon ribbon that wasn't from the dollar store. It is indeed possible to pop a balloon when winding ribbon, but only if the balloons are particularly weak. For the most part, a deflation will very rarely occur during this process.
Yep, Sage is my name. The ribbon is inconsequential compared to the quality of balloons you are using. Most of my tutorials are based on dollar store supplies and I’ve never come across a roll of ribbon that seemed to be worse than any other for this purpose.

I have been scared to use ribbons since my first column because I have been such a brute that i tore one of the balloons of the base quad 😅 Since that I have been using 260s instead...
I notice that you tie your ballons very close to the round part, while I tie mine as close as possible to the neck. Is this why your quads are so even and mine so messy ???? And is it why i tore my balloon in the first place ?

I’m so glad you like the arch! Yeah, I love those backgrounds - totally hides that I’m in a hotel room when filming rather than a studio, haha.
When it comes to aligning the balloons for shots, I just let my anal-retentive tendencies take over and I will just stand there and put everything exactly where I want it - so it does often take quite a while but it doesn’t bother me at all to do it. As you can probably tell, I take the time to craft every shot I do.
It actually took me a while to get used to creating quads and binding them together in a structurally sound manner. It is true that the quads do seem to be sturdier and easier to combine if balloons are knotted toward the base of the nozzle and tied tightly together. They are more solid and more like building blocks when constructed in this way.
You are correct - I do not have a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Tinder or any other presence on any other form of social media. I honestly never have, even as a teen.

My favorite thing to do is get those landscape shots. Giving my viewers something beautiful to look at is important to me. I was out on the beach at night for half an hour with lightning bolts slicing through the sky just to get a 3 second shot for the end of my video, haha. The sunset shot was filmed at the very end of a rock formation that jutted into the sea. I make the tutorials look smooth and easy, but in reality they are very difficult to film and edit - so when I get to just be out in nature and film pretty scenes, it is my favorite part of the process.

Yes i am fostering mommy Glutamine and her 5 kittens, 5 weeks old yesterday.
Slash my resident cat doesn't really care, except he hisses back to Glutamine who actually wishes he would go live somewhere else 🤣 . She can't be bribed with tuna when he's around which is quite a disappointment. I hoped for great results with this...
Slash can't understand what the small fluffy bouncy things are... except that the mini version of him stole his tuna fish...!

Hi Erika. I honestly don’t know, I’m sorry. I am 6 feet tall, so you can approximate the size visually at the end of the video when it is all done and I am standing behind it. In the future I will make sure I have the length/height of my arches included in description so that I do not leave out such vital information again. Thank you for watching.
