- We always get questions on how to use the arc features when you get tuned, so we decided to make a video to help explain how to use most of the features. There are more features we did not cover in the video but those would only apply if your car was boosted. We are not there yet;)

Actually the best video I have seen showing how to use your new uprev tune. One question is what about flat foot shifting ? Can you leave it wot and change gears ? Will it hit limiter or is that not a uprev feature FFS (flat foot shift)
Flat foot shifting shouldn't bounce of rev limiter of the ecu is set up for it.

I just got my mail in flash yesterday from nisformance I have a random cel that comes on from time to time someone told me that the arc features won’t work but after seeing this video how u also have a cel I went ahead and got the flash and everything works my honest opinion I payed about 460 for the flash and I think is worth it just the features alone are pretty cool but as far as making a big difference in power don’t expect that all i do believe it made a tiny difference tho
Yessir you should be good even with a CEL. I would scan it with a code reader just to make sure it’s nothing serious. And your parts combination has a lot to do with peak power. I felt a crazy difference in mine. Wasn’t even the same car.

You can always etune your car as well. That's what we did. Data logged the car. Did some pulls and sent it to the tuner

@@visualjermm7879 printed out a sheet from z1s website. shipped my ecu with the sheet filled out. (insured it for $1500 via fedex) i think i sent it thursday and i got it back tuesday. car runs amazing. i have arc features and told him to raise my idle exactly where i wanted it. best thing i ever did for my z
I see everyone asking the same questions over n over so I made sure to read thru them 1st. What did you plug your cruise control switch into with your aftermarket hub and wheel?
The physical buttons go connected to the clock spring behind the steering wheel or hub. The clutch & brake switches both have existing plugs where the switches go connected and mounted to on the petals.

Whenever you buy the cruise controls they come as a lit anywhere you buy them. You dont have to get them separate.
Real question given these crazy gas prices, can you tune for better mpg on the VQ35DE?
You can tune for better mpg on any car. Why settle for a DE just because it’s slower don’t mean it get better mpg
great vid bro , i have a question, i have high flow cats and was thinking about test pipes so i can flame map but i dont wanna be loud , im pretty good on where im at right now , but i wanna know if that eco mode you have quiets the exhaust or is it still loud on eco ? i live in california and cops are strict on noise smh ,

We live in Cali too bro so we know all about that. Lol I have an ISR and its hoenstly not that loud. Depends on your exhaust combination. Maybe adding an extra muffler or resonators.
It's the same kind of loud on all maps bro. Doesnt quiet the csr down more. Its just the performance that changes and the pops

Aye bro my car has this but all maps turn off my car? Do you know what could that be? It used to be fully bolted on but I went stock so do you think it’s that? I bought the car with it kinda built so I’m lost as hell lol
Really depends bro. If you’re back to stock. The car needs a stock tune to properly run if you had a lot of mods before. I’d start with a proper tune for the parts on your car. Could have been that putting it back to stock threw off the tune.

If you got cats you wont. You need a free flowing exhaust.
Do you need a quick release for the cruise control setup (I have base model)
I have a base model too. All you need is the buttons and the the two switches for the clutch and brake. You can slap them on the stock steering wheel.
My tuner gave me a 2 step map I don't get how it works and Ive never gotten my rolling 2 step to work either, any ideas?
Tuners set up 2 syep differently. I just get flames with my my flame map just got to go over 4k rpm. Could be different for you car but my launch control its just slamming on the gas with the car in first gear.
Do you need the brake pedal and clutch switches in order for the cruise control to work to change maps? I just have the cruise control steering wheel

Theres a pink fuse in the small fuse box next to the battery. There's a thin piece of metal connecting the pink fuse. Just break it to disconnect abs & traction control. Shoot us a DM if you have questions.

UpRev says on their site that launch control is available for RevUp engine only. I see your car looks like HR. Just wanted to confirm with you, it is really HR and not some hybrid with RevUp ECU.

Mine is an HR from factory. Stock engine that came with the car. Launch control works for all motors uprev installs on
You mentioned your diff what did you do different did you upgrade your differential?
I got a whole video on it. I had a stock open diff. Upgraded to a 3.7 LSD out of a g37 s
What mods do recommend before A Z1 UpRev Standard Tuned ?
3in intake and full exhaust. Injectors & fuel pump if you live near E85. If you running pump gas you don't have to upgrade fuel system.

Yeah its really toned down. Running stock headers, ISR test pipes, Tomei Y pipe, ISR single exit.
How do you activate/use the flat foot shifting on the tune?
Ask your tuner. They can set it up for you. Mine was locked.
it still says i have a arc license do i need to activate it somehow?
Usually it takes both but if you dont got any if the features then you would need to talk to your tuner.
Is that a bandanna quick release? Where you get it from?
It's an NRG hub. My mom just made me the bandana. When I had interior I had a shift boot and brake boot as well

We don't ever use flat foot shifting. Driver mod got that covered. I would only say it help boosted cars.
You need arc to have multiple maps brother. You'll love the difference being tuned

Hey man, I recently bought a tuner kit off of Uprev thinking that they would get it done for me but it turns out I'm all by myself and I have no clue what I'm doing lol. If I can contact you somewhere else and ask a few questions that would be great.
You are definitely on your own. UPrev doesn’t actually tune cars. You would have to contact a tuner and go in person or do an email tune. My instagram is linked in the description if you wanna get in touch.

Like I said in the video you will need the Uprev license to be able to upload a tune and an ARC license to get all the fun extra features. You will also need the cable if you don't have it.

Hey, I have a 350z 2006 that has an 05 G35 engine swap (Rev up chassis and non Rev engine). Got my ECM back from the tuners, put it in, it just cranks and won't turn on. The security red light is stuck red, doesn't blink or power off. Any ideas? Lmk if you got questions, I'm an I.T. guy so be patient please 🙏 tyA
It’s definitely because of the motor. The rev up has two intake and exhaust cams. Different from the nonrev up

Need the ecu and the wiring harness for the same motor. Got to do a whole swap since it’s different
@@tuned_tunas let me give more information... This car was running just fine, I took it to Nissan for a diagnostic, and they bricked my ecu (yeah I know, bad move...). Had to send the ecu to the original tuners who did the engine swap... they ensured me the ecu was the issue, and verified it. Bought a new one, should be just plug and play, however after I installed the new one, it should be just turning over. The car worked just fine with this engine swap before Reed Nissan messed it up 😞
That’s tough man. Not sure what they could have done at the dealer for it not to work but it’s definitely an ecu issue

Depending on what you have already. But I got uprev license, arc license, tuned, 4 maps for 650. 300 for the license, 100 for arc, 250 for tune

Uprev osiris is what I’m looking at, I believe you can get a rev limiter and two step with it. With exhaust, ecu tune, and throttle body, I’ve seen gains of 40whp
What map do you need to be on to do launch control?
Your tuner got to turn it on but you should be able to do it on your race map

I payed $650 in my day. Came with Uprev, ARC license, custom tune, 4 different maps. Some tuners pay more for a flame map but that is wack.
I have trouble getting my 370 to enable launch control. It keeps reving high. Engine coolant and oil temp high. Clutch pedal down in first gear. I will give it gas and it revs up to 7k quick.
Talk to your tuner sometimes theirs an issue. And make sure to turn traction control off.
How long did it take you to finish your tune?
Mine took 3 days. With the same tuner it took my friend 3 weeks. That’s how popular these cars are

Check your fuses but if it doesn’t come stock on the car it won’t work until you get it tuned
You forgot rolling anti-lag! I think my tuner made it so i have to be in a separate map to even do the launch control! 🤦🏻♂️ I have not changed maps forever so kinda forgot 😂

Tuned Tunas Not much different with a turbo. It wont make boost build faster. Its just for consistency.
It's very different with a turbo. Rolling anti lag is so you dont have any lag when you launch. NA cars dont need to be in boost cause they have none.

First launch the z was a dog off the line. second launch the Z was looking for traction..u need the perfect balance for the launch 3k is good for the VQ.

Couldn't you add a small LCD display...wire it up to show map#? using arduino?
Basically wired up to activate on hold down button combined with x presses of the middle button
I have not done it because that sounds like a lot of work and after messing up my stock wiring harness I know better then to try and mess with it.
@@tuned_tunas if that lcd display showing map # existed...and you could put it anywhere so you could easily see it...where would you want to put it? Also...It wouldn't need to be visible all the time(just when changing maps or if you forget which map you're on)....would you want the display to time out after a second or two...or would you want it on whenever driving?
I mean if you really wanted to you could add a screen. I haven’t had a neeed for it since the car is always on my racemap. Always got to be ready to dance.

Some of those cars have different motors in them and I'm not sure if the controls work the same on those cars. Just to keep it safe

It varies on a lot of things. This price is an email tune with a borrowed cable so I didn't have to buy it. And my tuner doesn't charge for flame map. I know some tuners do.
Any tuner you ask will be able to give you a price
Who tuned this… this isn’t just uprev plug and play… uprev doesn’t offer flames or pops and bangs… so some other tuner had to add that.
