@@arbitarious Peni had a couple of deaths and tragic moments in her story and is clearly inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion. The exact Reference is to Shinji is the main character of an anime. It is technically a story about giant robots fighting kaiju sized creatures called Angels on behalf of a pair of shadowy agencies that are “trying to save humanity”.
I recommend watching Evangelion or reading her much shorter story. They are not hard to find. But so are summations on UA-cam.
