Russian forces have achieved significant gains in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine's Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), notably capturing Sokol village under the operation of Battlegroup Center. This strategic move has bolstered their tactical positions in the region. Concurrently, Battlegroup North has intensified operations in the Kharkov Region, conducting targeted strikes on Ukrainian personnel from multiple brigades near Volchansk, Staritsa, and Liptsy. Russian forces successfully repelled five Ukrainian counterattacks, involving the 92nd Assault Brigade and the East Special Operations Team. Their air defence systems intercepted and neutralised several Ukrainian missiles, including Storm Shadow, HARM, and HIMARS shells. Ukrainian losses include up to 650 personnel, along with significant equipment losses such as motor vehicles, howitzers, and munitions depots. These developments underscore the escalating toll and fluid dynamics of the conflict, with Russian forces advancing strategically while Ukraine faces substantial military setbacks.
