I think the biggest problem is that they dont know what the impact of their updates are. They dont know how the levels impact the players because they dont play the game enough like B-rad said. They need to become more connected with the game if they want to know how to fix it.

@@KashmanTV The last Clash of clans update about builder base was good. And it felt even better to see that the dev team and community managers are pretty good at the game. They know proper strategies and its enough to understand that they know what the players need, cant say the same about CR CoC increased the prize of gold pass but added bunch of new items in it

btw, I believe that the evolved cards and the least of concerns, the upgrade would be acceptable if it was just that, but lvl 15 is the beginning of the end of this game

It's really nice to see big members in the community talk about this and even provide good solutions for the problem, and i hope they listen and at the very least make level 15 a cosmetic or achievement thing rather than a mandatory thing to be able to compete. Card evolution was a good step towards a more fun way to progress but not another level to grind for, thanks for posting this video Kashman.
I hope they change the direction of Level 15 and hopefully this video can help make that happen🙏

They made pass more expensive for 2 dollars but added much better reards not just for p2w players who bought it but also for f2p players who dont so pass is now even better
Remodeled skins added comunity ideas like scenery shop etc
Last update dropped few days ago and last one around month ago
CR team adds update every 6 months and doesnt listen to comunitY
This has been the most informative video on this subject I’ve seen so far. It acknowledges that progression is necessary to keep a game alive while criticizing the method of progression clash royale added, respect.

I just love how big content creators and a majority of community are in fight/discussion (it depends on your pov) with dev team to make this game better. You're all giving me some hopes that our World isn't as bad as I usually think.

I've just came back on the game. I had a full account and right now, I just can play, because there is no fun to play against level 15 cards. And even with that new tower that's overpowerfull, the game is broken... I'm so sad to have to say this, but I loved this game, and right now I just can't play again 💔
One thing that nobody’s mentioning is how the elite wild cards make it harder to level up every other card. I have 3 max cards. Before the update I would never pull those cards from boxes. Now I will occasionally and get elite wild cards instead of cards for one of my cards that’s less than level 14.

Lvl 15 should be obtained by a challenge (specific to each card) that truly makes you think in new ways when using that cars

Another thing clash of clans sometimes does is when they extend the finish line, in addition to new features, they lower the cost/accelerate the progression of lower level players to help offset longer road to the finish line by keeping it reasonably obtainable, not a "pixel on the horizon".
Crazy that he thought evolutions would be for everyone to unlock instead of only people who pay because let’s be real no free to play accounts have any evolutions, unless you grind it for hours

When a clash royale legend like Kash makes a video of something like this you no it is something to think about. With all love and respekt: Clash royale is a game that you either need to waste so much time on or spend money like a completely madman.
And level 15 amplifies this grind and money to an unachievable point.....that is a serious problem for f2p players😕
The entire leveling system is flawed in the first place. Because every level up only increases damage (and, for battle healer and heal spirit, healing), leveling up a card doesn't feel satisfying. There's no "Oh! now he hits slightly faster!" or "oh! my spell has a bigger radius!" There's only "Oh! now my card will finally interact with other cards the way it's supposed to." There's no excitement, no mystery, just a couple of bland green plus signs over the damage and dps stats
It felt a little weird to see Kashman being serious for once.
CoC are making gold pass more expensive (+$2) but they’re adding so many more rewards instead of removing them
They could do new feature to level 15 cards, as an example maybe add gears?You can get them for masteries and they can buff card in different ways , as an example attack speed or maybe buff their abilities.For example, giant skeleton gets 7% buff to his bomb or ram rider stun cards for more time, something interesting, not just buff their stats every level, btw, level 15 requires 50000 cards, that is ridiculous!I think it should require 10000 cards

I feel like the reason they added card evolutions at the same time as Level 15 was to “soften the blow” but that failed miserably

I think this video was a perfect way to explain one of the main problems and actually go into a possible, and brilliant solution. An additional solution to fix the update is to make it cost less. People will pay more as level 15 would be more of an achievable goal so supercell would get more money. It would also be more f2p attainable in the process.
I would be totally fine with that solution as well! Anything is better than our current situation😅

What is happening now in CR also applies to Brawl Stars. They recently added level 11 which bothers people who had a Max account and there are no new special icons. Except from the new epic Brawlers, every new Brawler that comes out is simply a version of some characters that already exist in the game. For example, the new chromatic is a combination of Piper and Jacky

Clash Royale is my most commonly added because I have fun at times then quickly deleted because it is incredibly frustrating.

I think card evolution is the real problem, it’s unimaginative, pay to win, and creates a significantly more defensive meta. level 15 is just another slap in the face

Its hard for a game like clash royale because features locked behind levels suck for low levels since they still face higher levels but in clash of clans you typically face ur own town hall level.

Games like clash of clans and even boom beach are realy good examples of a game (from supercell) that keeps making you wanting to grind and level up because of all the new things you get from all levels. But clash Royale… it’s sad

I don't even know if as a free2play and casual player i could have a level 15 card in a year because of the sheer amount of grinding i will have to do after already having taken 2 years to max 16 cards with a fourth done thanks to slash royale and the gold rush.
this was more emotional than i thought.
I quit the game a bit after they added level 14. The best parts about this game were fighting, not progression. I wanted to have all Max cards, so I could play with any deck I wanted to, but when the goal posts keep moving like this, you are very limited in the decks you can play, and it just makes the game worse.
Core gameplay such as upgrading cards is good but the problem is that it can be easily abused and supercell doesn’t seem to care as long as their rolling in the big bucks
hope supercell make the prices of gems lower or just add gems if the price is too much. imagine in brawl stars 170 gems for 10 dollars RIP

I just reinstalled clash royale and I can't get thru 20 secs without dcing nothing else on my phone does this, fixing to Uninstall , tired of getting tilted over thus mutha f$#@er...
Sadly they did not pivot and lvl 15 gives cards such a big stat boost that even having lvl 14 makes you feel severely underleveled, now this tower talents idea I think would have been a much better idea than different tower troops imo.

Lvl 15 is the worst update I‘ve ever seen.
A really good point about level 14 and champions. I've played on and off since princess and log dropped and was STILL not level 14 (almost 13) when this update launched. It really did feel like gatekeeping and I still believe that (albeit better nowadays) something urks me on having to grind the game sincelessly to get a few cards. People can be in 6k trophies and above based on skill alone and it really just feels like a slap on the wrist for trying to get good at the game.
I’m already facing level 15 cards and tower with my lvl 12 cards in clan wars. This update further buried clan wars
A lot of that was confusing to new players but as a player with a lot of maxed cards I think this makes sense because most players with a maxed deck like me have spent money

I agree with everything you say, I joined when the first pass was here, I loved the game and I still love it, but I hate to see that the last few updates just made the game more pay to win, the wild cards are good, card evolutions, I love it, but the new season pass is really bad, lvl 15, I hate it, I just wish we could go back to the old times and play with the old clan wars, old season pass, quests. I will say it, OLD CLASH ROYAL WAS BETTER, and I hate to see that the game is becoming more and more pay to win with every new update, and the worst is that the developers see that the players hate this, but they don't do anything to fix this, like they don't even care abaut us, the players. If we could do anithing to stop this, I think we will. I will not upgrade any of my cards to lvl 15, but I can't even upgade them becouse I'm not even maxed( I lost my old accaunt), and I hope one day Supercell will notice us and do something abaut this, becouse if it ceeps going this way Clash Royal will die in a few years and I don't want that.
The thing is , before 3-4 Years I used to love CR then I left for sometimes and then now the game is totally changed , It's more like a pay to win game , the matchmaking is ridiculous cuz I'm a LVL 12 player and I have to face LVL 13 and sometimes literally LVL 14 players ! How could anyone possibly win if the lvl of cards is 3× , 4× less than your opponent ! So I quit the game now.
Level 15 as a vertical progression is so on point!, They should just change it to a horizontal progression. But honestly it's already too late: they've released it, Making players angry for reverting back because maybe some already spent a lot idk 🤷

@@Tackiejuice Chests, emotes, shop offers, tournament rewards, gold if we need, chest unlocks and trade rerolls. So quite a bit.
@ihniwid722 emotes help you so much reroll trades which is 10 gems to much chests because the free ones weren't good enough chest unlocks because your inpatient
