I love this song! This was Marmalade at their absolute zenith and a lot of that is how well Hugh Nicholson fit into the band and wrote magical songs. This is a band we need to respect. Look at their entire catalog and find no bad record released. The video is beautiful and Sarah will always remain a Marmalade favourite for me.
Wholeheartedly agree with your comments. Saw them live in 1969 and so enjoyed the show. So sad that Dean Ford has now left us from complications relating to Parkinsons, on 31.12.18.
I was in love with a girl called Sarah when we both heard this for 1st time. That was 41 years ago but the song still as gentle as then. No happy ending I dumped her about 4 weeks later but song remains as good.
