People be sleeping on Hex Nail Sinclair just because it's free. The corrosion is Nclair's favorite tool and in a dedicated N-Corp team it goes so hard.

Actually, is the other way round. Mostly when playing with N Corp Sinclair (in teams) having him win SP because of Yi Sang Support Passive is a bad idea like you said (knowing that you can use his Defense Skill to prevent that or use an EGO (Fluid Sac, Blind Obsession, etc) with another sinner to give him SP if he is too low). However when doing solos is a completetly different story. It's really hard to maintain his SP between -15 and -35 because of how his Passive works (gain -50% less SP) and how he can lose so much Sanity by using Skills (-10 for S2 and -15 for S3). Now take note that inevitably you will have 6 Skill slots and need to make decision to tank the enemy attacks (to gain SP) or clash and pray that you don't corrode. That's the reason why I bench base Yi Sang. And the funny part about this is that even with the Support Passive is still very hard to just not corrode (lmao), so it didn't really matter that much. (at least with the battle against Kromer and Dream-Devouring). Hopefully this answers your question
i always use nclair so its kinda sad to not be able to use hex nail since the dmg he rolls out can stagger usually all enemies that can fit in the atk weight (including my team members)
