am a beginner in mutual funds investment. Recently, decided to switch from RD to SIP in mutual funds in expectation of 5-6% higher returns than RD. Risk Profile: Moderate, Age:31,Investment period:10-15 years,
Looking for atleast 12% return. More than 12% would be bonus for me.Have been following you for the last four months. Please share your views on my mutual fund portfolio:
    Salary:Rs50,000 per month.
SIP in HDFC INDEX S&P BSE SENSEX FUND:Rs5000 per month
SIP in PARAG PARIKH FLEXICAP FUND:Rs5000 per month
SIP in NIPPON INDIA SMALL CAP FUND:Rs2000 per month.
CANARA ROBECO ELSS:Rs50,000 per FY through SIP.
Am I on a right path?

Investment amount is high in individual funds. Go for 2000 rs SIP for 6 type of ... 1. Good large cap fund. 2. Tax saving fund. 3. Index fund. 4. Sectoral fund. 5. Small cap fund. 6. Child education based fund. This is my portfolio. I was getting 13% return when nifty was around 15900 (in last low) now my return is around 16%. Choose fund by learning compaines you belive and those companies are included in mutual fund companies portfolio.
Share your Annual return percentage of your current time portfolio.

@@amrendrabahubali5962Don't recommend sectoral funds. They require a lot of management and are very much more risky than normal capitalization based funds

      Your age is 31
      You mentioned
But your risk profile not mentioned.
When you need the maturity of fund value not mentioned.
If you would like to invest for 20 years then choose flexi cap fund and keep on investing in that for 5 years you will see growth of ur corpus and then that is enough.
      You don't need 4-5 funds
      2 funds are enough.l
