As a life long Flyers Fan (55yrs) who transplanted to Phoenix in 79'... Enjoyed watching Danny B break into the league Coyotes. Thrilled when he moved to the Flyers!!! Now, just a thrilled to have him as GM. Danny has always been a class player. Humble and hard working. He really seems to get it! The Flyers spirit. With Jonesy along side him....another who loves the club! The future is looking so much better for the team I live for! I'm actually excited for this season...after years of dread and anxiety...lol. Not expecting a Cup ..yet... But think we are at least on a path to get back there. Just one more, guys... please? Not to much to ask for...is it? Been waiting since 75! Riding the bus to school singing "We are the Champions..... AGAIN!!!!" Would love to see my son and now my grandsons... watching the Cup get passed from player to player! Just one more time...that's all I ask! 😉😄❤️ Let's go Flyers!!!?
Couldn't agree more he's a players gm and has his own agenda/ standard with heart and dignity that he expects, it's refreshing to be honest, also love the teams backbone of personal thats been hired over this new management heatley, sharp, leclair, simmonds, shultz ect...great hockey minds
Charlie “no points means you’re playing bad and not deserving” O’Connor. He’s becoming insufferable. It’s not being rushed if he’s NHL ready. This is how you rebuild. The correct team/players were picked. Things are looking up in flyers land. Can’t wait for the beginning of season and see the progress being made.
Aside from him becoming insufferable I sometimes have the impression that he´s asking 50% of the questions. Kinda unfair. He´s not the only reporter but he sure thinks he is..
Just because he looks ready doesnt mean he is. How he plays in the NHL is going to be significantly different than Juniors. He will have a tighter leash in the NHL, he wont be able to try new things offensively. Flyers are going to play to win, not to develop. Luchenko would be better off in jumiors where he can try things and not get benched or told to not do that because he didnt pull it off. Luca Sbisa looked ready and he ended up being rushed and ruined. We are seeing the results of a rushed player in Drysdale and Ristolainen.
@@seanbroccoli2698 You listened to Meltzer today, didn´t you? All those players you named are defenders. Two even from overseas. That means naturally a longer development. Frost as a center was not rushed and rather coddled a bit and it didn´t really help him either to unlock his potential to this day. Or am I wrong? They can still send him down if it doesn´t work out. I don´t know were the problem is.....
I think Coots made the team when he was 18 or 19. There was also a guy way back in the 90s, Zubrus. I'm sure there are more, I just recall those 2. Keep in mind though, that those 2 are both big guys, that helped I'm sure. But it's always great to see an exciting young player grow within the team, and league.
That also hurt Coots development. Guy didnt turn into a top player until his late 20s whereas ig he had gone back to juniors perhaps he takes that jump 2-3 years earlier.
@@caribbeancraig Lindros is not comparable. Luchenko is nowhere near Lindros skill wise. Luchenko is projected to be a 2nd line C with potential 1 C upside but not likely
Points do matter for him. If he’s not going to score points here then let him learn how to score points in Junior. You don’t draft a guy 13th for him to be a defensive forward.
In his first season points dont matter. Hes playimg the pk, pp, and on a talented 3rd line. Hes going to do more than just be a defensive forward. His speed alone will create chances

No proof or evidence of this… but I have a suspicion they are comparing Jett’s personality and potential leadership to Jonathan Toews.
I could see that
Let’s hope not. Toews has zero personality and knew about the whole Kyle Beach situation and said nothing

Laughts is more concerned with the color of his hockey tape (RAINBOW) than playing hard and scoring a few goals. Sorry. Facts.

Wow, what a truly awful thing to say.
