I like how Rob is always super optimistic in his first vid about a new project then 3 years later he sells whatever said project is, without a serious progress of course.
That’s how most projects are And I’ve been guilty of that. I got 11 cars behind my shop that I bought cause they would be quick fix and flips and then 12 years later they are still there cause I’m busy lol 😂
It's not for failure to throw money at things.
Lol... Rob is my hero. I always feel better about myself after a "Ferretti f*ck-up" video.
Still waiting for the hurricane evo build
@@superspeeders I enjoy the content and I understand the projects you have for this channel are not your main priority
called it..
The intercooler and charge pipes have nothing to do with thw S5 either, they are for a 2.0 4 cly A4.
The most hilarious part, is the only valuable S5 specific part you got is the morror caps, and you think they are worth nothing.
I admire your insane confidence in everything you do, even when competence is low. Its motivating to say the least.
Never throw your parts away until the job is 110% done, and even after it's done it would be wise to hold the junk parts for a couple weeks. No matter how small or worthless you think the parts are, don't throw them out!
Especially if you didn't price them out yet!
i told him this in last video because new parts dont come with clips, gaskets brackets etc
@Autocreatorz exactly, you never know what bs little part your missing. Not only that but there's 1001 scenarios that you'd never imagine where having the old parts save your ass
I am sure that he threw the modules connected to the headlight, that would make another video on why the cost doubled because of a stupid headlight
Literally said Audi A6 in the listing. lmfao
someone cant read lmao
I think that’s why he spent minutes explaining he messed up and didn’t pay attention. He knows. We know.
it happens.
either stuff is moving fast, or it's rare to pop up (and goes fast when it does), so you bash that BIN button and are all happy, then you realize at some point whoops!
i've done it. luckily not on something as expensive as a hood and fender.
heck, rob's got relations with various body shops. wouldn't be the worst thing to let them know what whoopsie parts he has.
a related concept I'm trying to teach my kid is, it never hurts to put out feelers. ask around, make casual conversation, mention what you have and what you want, and sometimes the universe obliges to help put a deal together.
@@DustinHasVideos takes 5 seconds of due diligence lol ok
@@BCJDMI love how you are using robs own phrase against him due diligence lmao
Rob just buy a rear crashed S5, then you can make one whole car and sell the remaining parts... Or make a video about how you ended up buying a rear crashed A6 instead
"I just bought this car that I thought was a S6, but it clearly says in the listing that it's something other than a s6. None of the parts match up, I dunno why"..
I looked up parts when the last video was posted. I was like, NOPE. Its gonna cost $ to put it back together.
The listings at at 2:46 literally say audi a6..lmao.
Gigantic noob mistake, but stupid fkn FB showing you results for random ass stuff when you clearly search "A4 parts" or whatever.
Why would you think the A6 parts would fit is beyond me 😂
Some engine accessories are probably shared between the same engine... cooling, AC etc.
@@rkan2 rob was buying body panels for two different vehicle models lol. a6/s6 and a5/s5 are completely different
@@user-uq4ly6fp6m Sure, though he did talk about other parts too..
Probably confused it for the A4/S4 parts that cross over...
Today Mr. Spaghetti shows us why it's important to measure your ingredients when cooking.

today Mr.Spaghetti realized there are too many kinds of meatballs
Rob, please upload just one video where everything goes perfect. Never Mind, I forgot your Rob. Still Love you Buddy !!!
ask the audi dealer for the part number for both headlights according to your VIN, and for any part numbers they supersede. VAG dearly loves revising parts 3 dozen times for the same model, and its likely why the passenger side headlight ends in the letter E (5th revision of that exact part#)
Rob, the s5 3.0 supercharged doesn’t have a front mount intercooler. You legit just bought all the wrong parts 😭😭
Love your honesty
He made it sound so easy in the last video
Just buy a crashed A6 for your fenders
Problem solved 😂😂😂
Manufacture chassis code in the search usually will minimize this issue. “Facelifts” and different models within generations can be headache.
I hope it works out for you, I had a similar issue with model years when trying to find a clutch hydraulic cylinder for my car.
Hey Rob, i would suggest calling your local junk yards and checking to see if they have the Audi. Maybe you can source all these parts from one “donor” car
Partify.. I just got a front and rear bumper cover, 1 taillight and both headlights for $750 on a 2014 Camry.. took forever to get them but I'm pleased with the quality
I just ran into that issue 2 days ago and thought of you. LOL - and bam you ran into it too. :)
2 clicks on eBay and you can return parts because they did not match advertised part numbers
what parts did he get on ebay?
Hey Rob, i know your pain with fixing broken cheap audis. I reccomend checking on FB groups, getting a ross tech VCDS tool for audi/vw/porsche. You can redo the adaptations for many other VAG parts to do oem+ upgrades. That hood and fender will sell quickly around nyc. Its going to be a nice car
Rob needs to join Audizine and VWVortex
Do you think you could do a garage update? How r both your Supra’s doing?
That spreadsheet looks exactly like my project build sheet haha
It's hilarious to call Rob a goof for buying a6 parts, but let's take this moment to all agree how TERRIBLE fb marketplace is. The soft filters on the search are infuriating and make your life so much more difficult to get what you're actually looking for.
Marketplace needs its own dedicated app at this point.. its too massive now to be integrated with the main app
It's just garbage. I filter: cars & trucks sort newest and I'm getting stuff posted 18 minutes ago. By the time I hit the 30th result it starts showing me things posted 59 weeks ago. @@willpowr416
While I agree marketplace has many flaws and could be improved a lot.. it is an absolutely amazing tool for making sales locally. I've been doing amazing on it
FBMP is the easiest way to buy from a chop shop
Sourcing parts for your salvaged title car is called a labor of love.
I love your videos Rob.!🇿🇦👌
Wow only everybody said this was going to happen lol
Rock auto! Very good prices!!!
Robs Spaghetti, hes nervous... but he keeps on forgetting...
Rob, I told you about Autohaas in Peterson New Jersey in the last video my man. They part out Audis and VW.
Did the exact same thing with a Jetta I was fixing up! Bought a door which the pictures showed was the correct one however when I got it I didn't pay attention and it was from a newer Jetta that was black pearl instead of black uni. Turns out the guy parts out cara and his listing was just generic. I also got all excited and made a whoopsie😂😂😂
Very relatable. Was very excited to scoop that until I wasn't!
Always check color code if trying to buy the same color trying to avoid painting...
Need to get a hold of Samcrac...he's good at finding all this stuff cheap and what is compatible
in your last video i said never get rid of any parts till car is done because all the parts never come with clips, plastics bolts etc especially not haveing that part number now
I can guarantee you that $80 grill will not have all of the mount points you need. The home link and outdoor temp sensor mount to the grille and those eBay grills don’t have the mount points.
I’m making spaghetti while I watch this 🍝 👌🏼
is the car a prestige or premium plus trim, prestige has the adaptive headlights and the premium plus does not.
my dad's been doing this for 15 years. learned early on not to throw away any damaged parts until you're done
Rob, admit it - it's not about the money but about the game 😅
The headlight part # that doesn't match up, could that # be the headlight bucket #? The headlight # may not be visible installed.
sent you a link on the 'Turo Doesn't Seem To Like Me!' video on facebook ✌
guy is a clown, messaged him. "all parts are sold, but follow my profile for future listings"
Each headlight might have different numbers from riverside one number n passenger side different number... Just a thought
Those A6 parts would be from the C7/C7.5 generation. Theres a good starting point to get those sold 😂
did i not tell you to keep the headlight in the last video and you said you will??
Wheres the 24 hour supra? Was it a typo? 24 years instead?
That A5 model bumper cover, hood and fenders are a nightmare to get and expensive. The A6 equivalent are dirt cheap and easy to find.
Went looking for Avalanche parts one time, came home with a complete Silverado....
Still waiting on that Evo
It will be done soon
The Audi dealer uses the bin number to cross reference the part numbers. It’s a nightmare. Also, be careful with the paint colors. I had a red 08 A5 that was a different red than every other year. Very hard to match.
Rob, what is going on with your hair transplant? Are you using minoxidil, finasteride and micro needling? Do a video recap…
No, I haven't done anything post op.
The transplanted hair doesn’t need anything
Rob; KEEP ALL TAKE OFF PARTS... lol
Where is the hurricane evo?
would 2011 work?
Where are the suitcases?
I’d caution you with the headlights, the headlights aren’t sold with the modules. So that’s another expense
A video explaining how you made a mistake? No way! LOL
...bulk of the content these days...hilarious...
Rob you get you money back on them
Today Mr. Spaghetti finds out he can't get a meatball for his spaghetti
We all saw this coming. What happened to the evo? Or the Supra? What happened to your flooded cars?
Try LQK they'll deliver
Still got it wrong b8.5 is 2013 and up 🤣
It clearly says A6 in the listing lol. Wtf? Can anyone help me fit an A3 hood to my R8? They're both Audi. Should fit right? Lol
Why not look at Copart for a parts car?Get something that got rear ended, take the parts that you need, send it right back to the auction, and get a good chunk of your investment back.
I think you need to just slow down and think it through because you keep throwing in references to A6/S7 which are completely different chassis. The A6/7 chassis are designated C5, 6, 7 rather than B8, 8.5, 9 for the A4/5 chassis. Might help for your listing for selling too. Double check your part numbers are all for the A4/5 platform.
As for headlights I’m afraid I can’t help with numbers but I would assume one is for the halogen variant and the other for xenon, which is what you have.
Today mr spaghetti puts his meatballs on the wrong plate
flood evo 2.0
800$ for a hood and fender for an A6 seems pretty high
Cheaper than painting them to factory.
Shows a 2.0 turbo intercooler when he has a 3.0 supercharged motor that doesn’t use that…
Did I get the wrong one? :O
That will fit the a4 you have, and if those mirror caps came from the a6 guy then they won’t fit either car either as well as those intercooler hoses being for a 4cyl car and not the v6
Never throw old parts away until car is done , clips and small bs can become a pain in ass
U should do a beanie without entering cause if someone just wants it and doesn’t care about the entry probably won’t pay $30
I am only making 250 of them. So if someone wants one, they can buy it and if they win they can give away or sell the spot.
Just use a sawzall to make the A6 parts work and call it a day!
Smart guy lmao
Are you going to seek this vehicle. Let me know please
why have not just taken the hood to a body shop to get bent back into shape? its not crease it would be a simple job even the fender is probably salvageable
Breaking news here, different model panels don't fit
Have you talked to a PDR guy?
PDR?
Paintless dent repair. Although it looks like the hood and fender are pretty messed up. And needs paint lol.@@superspeeders
Classic FLUBB
...wish there had been a betting pool on this video coming...I could retire...
He couldn’t finish fixing an a4, what makes you think he can fix this…
Sell me the a4 and I’ll finish fixing it before you finish this s5
The a4 I was fine driving just with the headlight installed. If you look at my history or shit cars, image comes second to function.
Guys guys, Mr spaghetti got overzealous give him a break on the a6!
Typical Rob, always getting scammed.
Pretty sure parts geek has your headlight assembly at half that cost. Idk..just a heads up.
Aww come on Rob, you're a car guy, wrong shade i understand, wrong model....smh
Are we just going to act like that is even the same blue?
Has Mr. Spaghetti ever finished any of his broken things?
not even close
Run the VAG part number. Most VW parts will fit audis without the 600% audi tax. Make a friend as well because i think audi charges $180 an hour book. Most repairs can be cut in half by not being a punk.
Should've got the part numbers per vin from the dealer first. Way to many options on these cars.
A6 😂😂😂
Professor Spaghetti, always trying to educate us. Seriously. Always tries to help you to not repeat his fails, and present in detail his wins. Cudos.
Today at the spaghetti factory watch rob buy tomatoes twice and still not get to eat the sauce.
lmao
On this episode Mr. Spaghetti orders the wrong tomato’s for this weeks sauce.
Can tell Rob wasn't much of an enthusiast of the VAG
Bro it literally saids a6 . Not even different style it’s an entire different model car
Welcome to the world of repairing Audi / VW. Rob, Audi / VW change part numbers for fun. Often two or three part numbers can be effectively the same part. You need someone in an Audi dealership parts dept for help.
Is he doing this for content or is he really that dense?
Yes.
Can’t you just buy generic parts for a lot of this stuff? Why not buy a more aggressive looking front end and paint it? It’s a beater anyways. Might as well make it look like an RS5
