  • One of the newest tools from Milwaukee, this vacuum caught my wife's eyes. So today we are going to be checking out everything that comes with this unit and find out how well it works.

I am a big fan of the Milwaukee m18 wet/dry vac the box one. I work in maintenance in a long term care facility and it’s perfect (thanks to the hepa filter) for carrying up ladders and looking under ceiling tiles or sucking up drywall dust etc

This review is perfectly done, nice job. I got to see all the parts I wanted to especially the black sweeper. Thank you. This tool was bought for EXACT same reasons! Smart pair you two are. Blows away my previous attempts at handheld and cordless vacuuming. Which was a small shark (battery crap after 6 months and horrible bag filter), multiple manual broom types, and a quality dyson type (which is waaaay overpriced $700? Insane and battery craps out) This is perfect because of my already awesome milwaukee batteries and tools and can do inside and out of house and car.

I take exception to your comment about getting rid of your old Dyson because it was "old." I have an older one and a newer one. I was able to order replacement batteries online, and they still work like new.

Glad you like it. I just bought a B&D duster buster off Amazon prime day $29 . Simple for crumbs spills and so forth great suction but reviews put at 12-18 months before batts crap out. . I own 15k in the M18 line but have yet to buy a vac. I’m still gonna hold out. Their vacs are just overpriced for what little you get. 1 1/4” hose ain’t gonna do much on Jobsite Their new double battery line is 2 1/2” hose go for $499-$699. I’m not going there. I have an old 4 Hp craftsman for shop and 5 Hp ridgid for field neither cost more than $65. Yours will be fine for the house Thanks for the review. 👍

Nice unit. This will be so handy for cleaning the cars, boat,Rv,ECT. This would have been nice at Sand Hollow and the Sand doons.

We have one of those stick vacuums in the R.V. And it doesn't work as good as at first either.

The weak point on handheld was the battery. The tool battery solves it.

Buy a large industrial broom. Gets the job done in no time, and the added bonus of burning unwanted fat, And no batteries required

You could also ride a bicycle to work instead of driving. Accomplishes the same end results just on a broader scale.

Great review! Sorry if this a dumb question, but what was the metal magnetic tube device that had the shavings?

It’s a magnetic pickup baton. They are very handy in the shop. amzn.to/3IX4nqV

I have this vacuum, it's junk..
    The whole crew hate it.
We replaced it with a cheap shark unit that's 1/2 the cost and 3x the vacuum.
    Stay away

Other than it ONLY works on hardwood and flat hotel carpet. And it doesn't turn well- at all. Doesn't work for "household" carpet. Worst M18 I've owned. Milwaukee dropped the ball BIG TIME. Garbage product because its too limited on what you can use it on. Should be about time for them to release a gen2.

Do NOT buy this vacuum. While the power and suction are great, the internal design is AWFUL. Drywall dust will clog it ASAP, hair wil clog it ASAP, you'll sped more time taking it apart and cleaning the filter than vacuuming, and once fixed you'll be re-vacuuming everything that dropped out during the cleaning and maintenance. I bought one because of reviews like this, and after struggling through several attempted uses and forgetting about it mostly, I finally got it out again and it finally just up and failed, won't turn on anymore. Warranty is long over, but I've yet to take it apart and see if I can fix the issue. Save yourself the head-ache and SKIP
