    What is Neurofeedback?

    You can change your brainwaves. You have control over your thoughts, your breathing, your posture.
    Many people pretend they have no control, or they give it away. They prefer the victim mentality because if they are a victim then nothing is their fault, and they don’t have to take responsibility.
    I have nothing but contempt for that life strategy.
    Learn how to change your brain waves!
    The 4-7-8 breathing starts moving your brain into Delta brainwave, preparing you for sleep. Inhale to the count of four, hold for seven, exhale to the count of 8.
    Want Alpha brainwave?
    Breathe exclusively through your left nostril. Plug your right nostril for 5 minutes and relax your entire system. Boom, you are in control.
    What impact does being relaxed have on your dysregulated child? Yes, it regulates them! Teach it to them when they are the right age and then they self-regulate emotion.
    How are you applying this to your relationship and parenting?
    Same for Biofeedback- There are ways to measure the impact of what you are doing on your pulse. Figure out how to speed up or slow down your pulse. You have more control than you realize, and this has an impact on mood and family relationships.
    Imagine someone saying, “Why aren’t you doing something about your depression?” You have been in counseling, taken medication, done the yoga, chi gong, acupuncture route. You work out, walk, talk with friends, do a gratitude list, have the special lights for winter darkness, take supplements and eat right. You have a special mat for electro magnetic frequency being pulsed and a neurofeedback unit that you use daily. In addition to meditation, you do different healing techniques and regularly go out in nature for beauty and inspiration. What is the point? Keep trying until you feel better. There are many tools you can use to cope with it, if it does not go away.
