Again, great video, with the information you give us it certainly makes it easier to make the right dinner choices. Love Scotties food explanation and what to expect.
The only place you see that "special bread" which I love. AND my favorite Blue Cheese soup (perfect for a lady) I've had it on every ship & it was the same - even on the Royal when I toured it - lots of blue. Crab cake looks very underdone. You guys eat such huge "bites" LOL!! I always get the Lamb Chops - try them next time & medium rare - never had it anything but perfect! I also get spinach & mushrooms. Don't think they offered this salmon last summer in Alaska but I'd have tried it - looks awesome. Love that crème Brule cheesecake. I'll be on Island in October so can't wait to see what they do over there in Europe! Like following you guys & thanks for keeping it real!
We were on the Royal the week after you. The French onion soup at the Crown Grill was just awful. I believe I had one sliver of onion and the rest was broth. I ordered the prime rib and it was 50% fat. Princess needs to step it up. Enjoyed your take on the dining experience.
Thank You So Much. We Have noticed That The French Onion Soup Has Been Lacking The Last Several Times. I would have tried the Prime rib which I Love however we had a late seating and didn’t want the leftovers. Thank You So Much For Watching And Commenting
The dinner looks great. I had the same issue in Carnival steakhouse with bad onion soup normally great. I have reservations first night on Crown Princess steakhouse, I will try the soup, let you know. Seemed like better service then other video of non existent manager. Lol Thanks guys I have menu ideas already.
Ronnel Is A Great Manager Who We Have had On Several Cruises. All In All Great Meal. Filet Medium Rare And Some Good Mashed Potatoes And I’m A Happy Camper 😀
Thank you for sharing. On my last cruise I realized I am not a buffet person and had specialty dining almost every night. I am not a BIG eater but I appreciate well prepared food. Paying the surcharge is a fraction of what I would pay dining locally. The thumbnail looks great. Has fried rice always been an option?
I was really looking forward to Scottie's review of the black and blue onion soup. His looked nothing like the one I had on the Crown Princess in 2016. I am not a big soup lover, but it was so flavorful and cheesy that I looked up the recipe and my husband made it for me. Not as good as I recalled from the ship but still good. Your appetizers were a failure but I'm glad the steaks and salmon were an improvement to your dinner. Thanks for sharing!
We Have Noticed Inconsistencies Between Princess Fleet Or One Sailing To The Next With The Same Ship. We Have Never Tried Celebrity. We Have One Cruise On HAL Which We Really Enjoyed And 23 With Princess. We Usually Have Had Great Luck With Crown Grill On Most Ships And Sabatini’s. This Voyage We Are not sure what happened to Sabatini’s. We Still Love Princess And For Us The Fantastic Crew And Service Is Second To None. I Don’t Think You Would Be Disappointed.
Always love the videos. Why though when already paying a upcharge do you have to pay again another if want the Prime Rib, Salmon etc? I don't get that.
Once again, another specialty restaurant on the Crown Princess where you have sent food back. Princess have really dropped the ball with their dining in the specialty restaurants. Makes me think twice about booking with Princess & more about going with someone like HAL where you had a good food experience. Thank you for sharing another great video
I’m glad I am not a chef because I probably would be critical of the food too! Enjoyed the video but I think it’s time to try something different on the menu!
@@code4forlifebut they usually charge $10 for an additional entree, and you each got a steak. Would there still be a $10 up-charge if you didn’t get the steak?
That Is A very Good Question We Never Thought About Asking That Question. I will make a mental note to Ask When We go on the Grand Princess In 3 Weeks.
We had Crown Grille on our first night on Royal Princess and will never eat there again. None of our three meals weren’t worth a damn. The only good thing was the bread. I got the ribeye and it looked like something you would get at Denny’s. This “ribeye” was like 1/4” thick. The steaks on NCL and Royal Caribbean specialty steakhouses put this to shame. A specialty meal is supposed to be a discernible step up from the complimentary food and this was not.
The Crown Grill, IMHO, progressively going down hill. Twice bad experiences on different Princess ships. Now never again. Salmon for an uncharged? First lobster. Whats next? What a joke.
I enjoy your videos!
Thank You So Much

The salmon looked perfect ❤
The Salmon Was Delicious And Very Fresh
I really appreciate your videos. I love Scottie’s review of the food because he is specific about what makes a dish good/bad.
He Always Brings His Professional Chef Experience To The Table. I am Just The Taste Tester🤣 Thank You For Watching And Commenting

At least they got the meat right 😕
I think Princess needs to re-think some things.
Thanks for sharing your journey!

They offer a Jumbo Prawn Entree that comes with Fried Onion Rice We Just Requested The Fried Rice As A Side Dish Item.

The black And blue soup used to very good. They Need to Go Back To The Old Recipe Thank You So Much For Watching
Great video thanks for sharing the salmon did look delicious
Thank You So Much. The Salmon Was Good. All In All A good Meal
great video. we’re thinking about going back on princess after a decade with celebrity but the inconsistency in food is giving me pause 😬

This Was A Special North To Alaska Menu. I Don’t Really Get The Reason For The Additional Charges Either Other Than Their Bottom Line.

The Filet Is My Favorite 🤩🤣. Scottie Is More varied in His Selections. Thank You For Watching
@@code4forlife I meant to try a different appetizer! You always have the lobster cake! 🤣
I know I Do. I need to Branch Out 🤣
Valid review.
Very few can get get lobster/crab cakes right.
Thank You So Much For Watching And Commenting
is bone marrow potato something special you can request or is it on the menu?
Yes This Is One Of The Included Sides Available At Crown Grill.
Did you end up paying $20 for the salmon then? ($10 additional charge + $10 extra entree charge)
$39 Cover Charge Per Person Cover Charge And The Salmon Was An Additional $10 Charge.

At least dinner wasn’t a total loss! Last time I was in a Crown Grill, I put it on par with Texas Roadhouse, just more expensive!
😀 We have not had consistency Across The Fleet In Any Food Venue On Princess Unfortunately. Thank You For Watching And Commenting
Waiting for the day your partner likes even just one dish😅❤

@Code 4 For Life we are here anytime. We love princess. But we are Celebrity at heart
We Haven’t Tried Celebrity Yet. Maybe One Day We Will Give It A Try.
