- We had no idea Manila was so amazing, BGC blew us away on our amazing city day out. If you've ever wondered if this Philippines urban metropolis was good to visit with kids then check out this full day exploring with our 5 year old daughter Story Ember.
We went to the Mind Museum to see the Dinosaur bones, had lunch at WildFlour Cafe, Strolled through Burgos park, swum in a rooftop pool on a skyscraper and then went Bowling and played arcades at a shopping mall. Great day out.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

Ahhh TMM (The Mind Museum)... missed that place! I used to work there before the lockdown in 2020. I was assigned in the information counter to assist the guests.
I didn't even realise there was a museum like that in Philippines let alone Manila. I'm going to take the kids there.
Well if you are poor and from the province of course you didn't know.
My sister buy condominium there in BGC .she have a nice house in the province as if you are in a 5 star hotel. Her house here in America is also nice as if you are in a 5 star hotel. She is retired from America was able to save money work as a consultant $100,000 a year salary

Only Mike is on a road trip to Surigao with his new BMW 1250. Nelly was left behind in their condo at BGC
I think Mike & Nelly lives in Makati also a little bit close to BGC.
They used to Live in Salcedo, but they already bought a condo unit in BGC overlooking Venice..

Went to the Mind Museum 3 years ago and it was definitely worth the visit - even without kids.
Agree. We went there, 5 of us and all adults also enjoyed Mind Museum.

@@blp5840 Prices for adults and students or children are different. They also have different prices for all day or three hours. We got the unlimited ay 750 pesos each.

Try to visit THE MANILA OCEAN PARK .. the main attraction of the ocean park is the oceanarium which houses 14,000 sea creatures from about 277 species all of which is indigenous in Southeast asia ..
The ocean park also host the trails of antartica the first penguin park facility in the country..
If Story enjoyed The Mind Museum, try bringing her to the National Museum for Natural Sciences. She'll see a preserved skeleton of the largest crocodile captured in the Philippines among others like taxedermed birds and mammals. Also she'll learn about Philippine habitats and endemic species in the Philippines

You only covered 1/4 of BGC. Hope you still have time to visit Highstreet and Venice Grand Canal Mall. Story will probably enjoy the gondola ride.

Take Story to Manila Ocean Park as well as the Mall of Asia. The Ocean park is HUGE!!! You wont be disappointed. As for the Mall of Asia, take her to the skating rink as well as the planetarium over there. Also, watch IMAX movies! That would be fun! There's also the Star City. Take her there! :) Manila Zoo should be fine too!

Yeah, if you get a chance go to the Ocean Park, Museo Pambata and the Walled City of Intramuros and nearby nice churches of San Agustin and Manila Cathedral. Have a calesa ride down to the Rizal Park. All these beautiful sights are within each other's proximity. Hope you'll always stay safe while spending great time in city tours. You should visit the Ocean Park aquarium in Luneta/Rizal Park beside Manila Bay. Also go to the three branches of the National Museum. Watch the sunset from the Manila Bay seawall. Then spend another day at the newly renovated Manila Zoo. The Dessert Museum in Makati would also be a nice spot for Story.
Yeah. Please don't miss the Manila Ocean Park, and other nearby attractions--Musro Pambata, the Rizal Park, etc. They're within each other's proximity. Enjoy pa more!🤗👏💕
If they're vegan beyond diet, they won't be able to visit Ocean Park or Manila Zoo because ethical vegans believe that animals shouldn't be in cages or aquariums. Usually capturing these animals for our amusement has deplorable suffering and death on the animals (documentaries like The Cove shows how dolphins are captured in Japan) and it is very traumatizing for them to be captured.
I really hope the Philippines cultivate and develop sanctuaries instead of capitalizing on animals' forced captivity. Animals are sentient beings deserving of their freedom, and it's much better to observe them in their natural habitat anyway instead of artificial and caged conditions. Besides, there are published scientific studies that children don't really get to learn what they're supposed to be learning in a zoo.

It's great you are having so much fun connecting with Sacha's Dad at BGC. I heard it's a very European style city , very modern and a lot of city life activities. I love the curiosity and wonderment reaction from Story. What a great facial reaction! Especially when she was playing bowling and the intensity and the animated reaction for missing the pin was a memory moment. I just wandering they did not have a bowling ball for children? which is usually smaller in diameter and actually help children to be able to carry the ball. But either or she had fun and the whole family had a quality experience and congrats Jay for having the highest score. I missed poppy though especially when an corky dog approaches you at the park. looking forward for more adventure! be safe
I love BGC too and we visited 5 days ago with my family and we are also staying in Y2 in their Penthouse Room near the pool entrance 😁 I tried visiting the pool every now and then to just having my luck to meet you 😊

I love how Story can do a whole day out and still remain calm 🤪 my son has ADHD and would be over stimulated by one activity per day! I feel envious sometimes wishing we could do big long fun days out, but it’s just too difficult

Story would be really excited if she gets to experience Kidzania there in BGC. I just don't know if it's still open because it was greatly affected by the pandemic.
Kidzania was operated by ABS CBN. Since the franchise was denied, it closed permanently.
KidZania Manila closed its doors permanently due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. In a statement on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, Play Innovations Inc, which is behind KidZania Manila, said that their last date of operations will be on August 31, 2022.
ABSCBN was denied renewal of its media franchise by the senate due to unsettled taxes and unpaid loans.
It closed not because of the franchise, but because of the pandemic. A lot of Kidzania sites in different countries closed in 2020
