After watching dozens of scale modeling videos after the first UA-cam recommendation which came out of nowhere, this one finally brought me to buying my very first Aoshima pre-painted model (FD3S RX-7 in vintage red) which I just finished today. It was a lot of fun and I’m already excited for my next project ☺️
This is seriously such an amazing video. You are a stellar story teller and this video is serious one of your absolute best. Perfect music, perfect camera angles and editing. I am in awe. I had no idea aoshima did painted kits and this ended up really well done. Red wouldn't be my first choice tho. 😅 Seriously tho, I really love this masterpiece of filming and editing.
I enjoyed the building tips. I have not built anything in 10+ years. Watching your videos has shown me things I was doing wrong and techniques I hadn't thought of.
Nice to hear from you on this video, Jun! 👍 Presumably that car was machine painted but someone else might know different. As far as I know, Revell do some prepainted kits but they are mainly aimed towards beginners and children. I made one with my son but repainted it anyway! 😂
Thank you Thomas🙏❤️ I do believe it’s painted by machines but still I am surprised by how precise the masking is, even the dreaded black window trims are perfectly painted👍
nice vid! one thing I suggest you should do though is invest in a pop filter for your microphone, there are a lot of pops in your voice recording, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this video :)
Thank you for the suggestion🙏I will definitely get a pop filter for my future recording and continue working on my voice recording techniques. Thank you very much for support😊❤️
Looks lovely - Aoshima did a great job on the pre-painting, and AE86s always warm my heart when i see them - where I live they only pop up at classic car shows for the most part now, though they were pretty common in their heyday.
Very nice piece, so detailed, like you say, good for beginners... but you are no beginner 😁 I think painting is where you get the chance to make your build unique, to me that is important. Very nice work though. 👍🏻
Hey man i know this might come of as racist or something like that. It’s really not meant to be. But since i can hear that you are not a native english speaker. Your english is extremely good❤️❤️
Hi Jun. I really want to start building these kits and you provide great examples. Can you make a video on how to make camber? Also, where do I find costume wheels for these cars? Are there just engines for sale to put in these cars? Thank you.
Oh wow. I'm glad I watched your video. I almost bought this, but pre-painted kit isn't something i'm interested in. I was wondering why it was a little more pricy than the others, but it does look pretty nice for an out of box build though.
Thank you for watching🙏 The mini tools are made by Fujimi, it’s from the Garage and Tools set, they do make different sets for you to choose from. Since they have been discontinued you will have to find them on eBay.😊
You should do the Fujimi Impreza WRX STI Verson VI (1998 1st gen) 1/24 kit. I really like that car but I can’t find any videos on it and I would like to have a reference. They can be bought on eBay, but they are a bit pricy, 50-75 USD. But it’s better than the initial D series WRX STI of the same gen
You could lower the car by placing a small poly cab between the control arms, you would also replace aftermarket wheels with minimum figment issue(if the wheels are from Aoshima then it’s basically a direct fit)😊
That's a cool model! 😀 I've got a question... I have a Toyota Celica GT-Four in black. (Tamiya.) What would I have to do to make the paint gloss and shiny when it's not a great looking color/finish, because I want to keep the black color but it's mate and boring. Great video too as always! ;)
Thank you😊 There are many ways to make a model car glossy and shinny. You could wet sand the model with 2000-3000 grit sand paper(or even up to 12000 grit) then polish it with Tamiya polishing compound. This will generally create great results👍
@@JunsMiniGarage Ok thanks a lot! I think I'll do it this way because I don't want to change the original paint on it! :) You're one of the best UA-camrs, no doubt about it! ;)

Super high-quality pre-painted... I'm impressed
This is the best looking 86 youve built yet!👍

I managed to get the last one they had of this model, thanks for reminding me that these exist!

It’s so perfect to the point that it looks unnatural, I’d rather try my hand painting it myself
nice bro...
I love the model you did a great job but I can’t be the only one who doesn’t like the wheels
I have question : this kit includes working springs, so technically user can cut the spring to adjust the wheels fitment?
You could lower the car by placing a small poly cab between the control arms, you would also replace aftermarket wheels with minimum figment issue(if the wheels are from Aoshima then it’s basically a direct fit)😊
