Sadly hydrogen dioxide is not water - that's HO2, not H2O (which would be dihydrogen monoxide). Fortunately for them, HO2 *is* a thing; it's called hydroperoxyl, and seems to be part of various atmospheric reactions that I can't figure out if I should be afraid of or not. Not sure whether that's something to fear...

@ThinkIndigo I always love the "military encryption" comments. Technically correct is the best kind of correct, I guess: the military uses the same encryption as you and me nowadays because it's been proven that public, widely-used algorithms are generally better than rolling their own. So yes, it's military-grade encryption. The same that your browser uses.
@@danooct1 And that's out of a possible maximum of 65535? That means the odds are greater than 2600-to-1 against that it would display anything when running an infected file on the 59th second of a minute.
Someone needs to make a virus that runs on startup, and keeps a record of all files you have run, and how many times you have run each file, since initial infection. The payload will delete the file that has been opened the most. So that game that you play on a regular basis, and have played for several years? Gone. I think that would be very unique, and while not overly destructive, it can be emotionally devastating.
I bet, back in the day the first anti virus programs had a table of executables and thier normal file sizes. So if an executable's size got changed the AV would report it as an infection.
i did had some weird viruses back in the DOS days. I don't remember what the virus is, but the "payload" was some kind of face/character with a comic book-style bubble i think, if i remember, this was near a corner of the screen like lower left or right, i don't remember correctly but it did scared me back then!
I have a feeling this “Metropolis of Sodium Chloride in Hydrogen Dioxide” (or rather Dihydrogen Monoxide) is actually supposed to mean Salt Lake City, Utah
You wonder if it was called that back in the day... or if this is what the antimalware firms called it? Either way, keep the good stuff coming... I look forward to Fridays because I get to see another video from you consistently.
I was just looking at your comment from 10 years ago from the Nintoaster Instructional Video about the "fear board". Now I saw your newest video about the Fear Virus, now that's a coincidence.

Pretty sure that isn't salt water, that's salt in hydrogen peroxide. Not sure what that does but sodium instead of salt apparently has strange reactions, from a Google search.

The person did a typo in Hydrogen, "Hydrogeon", so...maybe he did a mistake there in the naming of water. We may never know.
oh, lol
Man, old DOS viruses were so polite. "I won't do anything until you run me, so if you could do that, I would appreciate it, thanks."

Yeah… nowadays, even visiting the wrong website… just CLICKING THE LINK would corrupt System32 and destroy your computer…

0x19 would be a decimal value of 25; one of those two representations probably meant something to the author. Which register is it looking at?
IIRC it is comparing the value contained in AX against that number.
