When he's "harsh", the same people say that TK is becoming the very thing he hated. So... what does he do? Be a boss or be a friend/fan? Sadly, you can't really be strongly both, so he needs to be more one than the other.
Okay but you have to look at this objectively and financially. If you’re not using a wrestler in your company because he did something you may or may not have liked, you’re giving him free money while he’s not performing for you while he’s under contract, would you keep giving him free $$ to just not compete somewhere else? Or would you just cut your loses and just release the person you have an issue with to begin with and save $$? It seems like a simple answer financially and for a business.. which is what he’s supposed to run.
I’m not hating on Tony Khan, but at the end of the day it’s a business and you have to do the best for that, and I hope he does succeed but it seems like it’s just not working right now
OP, can you not mix 2 different things together and pretend it's somehow the same point? People call him "soft" in regards to how the inmates run the asylum, like wrestlers booking their own matches etc. and all the backstage bs. Him not honoring his own words regarding releases if people ask him if they can go is a completely different thing. Logic people. Buy some. Sheesh.
@@DarkSun123456789 That is the problem, though. I think when AEW was at its best, TK was being soft and friendly, oftentimes fanboying out whenever he signed another guy. However, from the first Punk situation, tons of people were saying TK needs to be stronger behind the scenes and bring the hammer down, which immediately goes against his prior nature. Now he is bringing the hammer down, like many people demanded, and AEW is struggling because of it. It's odd, because the less AEW is like WWE, the better. The more AEW tries to be like WWE, the worse. Hence why I said he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Andrade, Miro, Malaki, Ricky, Penta, Rey, all turned down storyline after storyline and majority were refusing to lose and put others over anyone blaming AEW for this is 100% just a wwe mark.
That’s absolutely on Tony that so many wrestlers acted that way. His lack of leadership allowed them to feel they all could be unprofessional and refuse to work and essentially get away with it
@@USCTrojan12 no it's not he can't FORCE them to work with someone or FORCE them to accept a loss it's a cooperation thing and these few thought they were the biggest of stars and refuse; I genuinely like every single one of those wrestlers but it's a disgrace how they've carried themselves.
Keep in mind it’s 100% within the contract to not just release people because they ask and none of us know the full story. Tony hasn’t done the “wrong” thing but it’s morally questionable for sure.
As far as intergender matches possibly coming back, I'd like to think that the games can get away with a lot more (blood dripping onto the mat, making barbed wire bats/light tubes usable) since it is up to the whims and imaginations (or lack thereof) of the players. Plus, with Chyna most likely staying in the roster, reintroducing intergender matches would make sense given her career as well as Rhea and Nia getting physically involved against men in the past couple years. That being said, to those that remember that Mickie James vs. Great Khali challenge in SvR 07, who should be the modern day equivalent of that? The man in the equation is obviously Omos but who should be the tiniest woman you face him as? Personally, I'd say Kairi Sane or Alexa Bliss.
Under using or not elevating mid card talent, WWF becoming popular and producing incoming talent well is part of what started to kill WCW. Tony knows this and will keep everyone buried but contracted. AEW doesn't want to fall victim to a thinned roster due to a rash of injuries which would be a big blow. So he's going to reserve the option to reactivate shelved talent. Not to mention you keep Ricky and Britt at home they can't CM Punk their way out of their contracts.
I'm not fully on board with either promotion at the moment, we seem to be in the industry lul. TK seems to be having a meltdown over people leaving and wanting their release. AEW struggle with week to week stories and relying on Jericho needs to stop. WWE are producing good stuff, but it's not sunshine and rainbows and the likes of Andrade have already been lost in the shuffle upon returning
Ricky signed a contract and he honours even if its waiting it out and TK is wasting money, contract is a contract. Ignoring the contract side of it, don't use him maybe let him go and get what he wants, he goes to WWE or TNA or anywhere else and he's used better/worse it is what it is but both parties are happy this situation is resolved.

Tony is not using Ricky though and doesn’t plan to so that argument about him being a boss goes out the window because his intentions is not for his business but to just be petty. He’s abusing his ability as a boss because he can and that’s pathetic especially when he said he wouldn’t do things like this.
God AEW are massive hypocrites, they complained about vince doing this and shat on him, now Tony does it and AEW fans are like "yeah fuck wwe"
There might be a few doing this. Not the majority.
So Tony won’t let Starks back on TV but won’t let him resign too ? He just gonna pay him to sit at home until the contract expired? That’s VKM era WWE stuff.
Poor Bishop Kaun just being forgotten.
Rhea Ripley vs Akira Tozawa happened within the last two years.
I think Charlotte wrestled someone a few years ago as well
Sasha banks vs Reginald
@@dillonroy93 Yep that was the other one I was thinking of which is crazy that was in 2021.
Who wants to watch Ricky Starks, Malakai Black, Rey Fenix, Britt Baker or Danhausen when we can watch Shane Taylor & his scrubs, and other nameless jobbers?
Great booking, TK.
Jack's accent work is always a pleasure
Spike trivet, lykos gym and many others deserve a tryout atleast. I love them and keeping them here in the uk indies would make me happy but they deserve so much
How is this dude still under contract anyway . I know they added injury time . But why ? Your not going to use him . Tony khan = herb abrams
So ironic to see Tony become Vince and still be defended online 💀
I'd love to see Hendry do his about-face into a stare down with Cena.
Bishop is *obviously* a reference to Stinking Bishop - cheese based gimmick confirmed!
Dang Pretty Ricky. He deserves much better hes a awesome talent.
@@memig9984 💯
This is ridiculous he wants to go let him go Tony creates his own problems with these constant shenanigans
9:24 killed me man😂
One of the names wwe wanted to give pac was ripley bishop
Ricky Starks be doing a Kevin Nash move. Stay at home & getting paid.
What he's done in AEW so far should be enough to make him in high demand at least.
Imagine Joe Hendry is John Cena's final opponent, that is how they announce the signing of JH
Tony Mc Khan😂😂😂😂
Feels like the Europe tryout is a makegood for not having a full roster for NXT Europe.
Simon Miller better be signed in the try out
I wonder why they’re letting Ricky work any indies.
I'm never moving on from SvR 2011or Day of Reckoning 2 until they give us back Create-a-Finisher
Baron Corbin is Bishop Len Brennan confirmed. 😂
im sorry. i dont see the big deal about ricky.
i do believe tony needs to cut anyone who doesnt want to be there. wwe IS NOT going t pick them all up. by keeping them, you're sewing the seeds of discontent.
Bring Renzo Rose from OTT to WWE!
TK living long enough to see him become the villian
Tom and Jack waht about Bishop Kong from AEW? Bishop Dires new finishing move will be called CHeckmate, and he will have a human chess gimmick.
See the first thing I thought of was a gimmick name similar to Damian priest
Tony Kahn has literally become Vince McMahon.
Bishop from the Xmen
Bishop from Juice
RIP Pac
TK doing business like Vince.
Simon Miller to try out for WWE?!?
One can dream
Bishop from juice... just knew jack would bring up 2pac... he has all the hiphop knowledge
completely blanked on Bishop Kaun from Gates of Agony??? (ROH/AEW)
And now we know the REAL reason Austin wasn't on Raw. GG to some of the dirt sheets.
What about the wrestler Bishop Kaun?!
And Bishop from the x-men??!
How could you forget Bishop from X-Men?
It sure what’s going on with starts but WWE isn’t going to hire him no time soon.
When did the soul of Vince McMahon possess Tony Khan?
Holy s*** ricky, just get a lawyer/lawsuit
Don't forget the X-Men member Bishop!
Does anyone know how long Ricky has left on his deal?
Reah had a match with tazowa a year or 2 ago remember
So he's Still getting paid isn't he? Sure he isn't on TV but he's still out making more fans, if I had a boss that wanted to pay me to not work I don't think I'd be upset about it.
Wrestling is definitely a unique situation in some ways.
😄👍
Ricky got buried by edge on live television, and he has not been used since
What About Drew McIntyre's Buddy Jack Jester
If they do bring back intergender matches in 2k25 I can’t wait to do Chelsea green vs Penta lol. Pentas gotta be dlc 😭😭😭
Still want create a finisher back
Leon vs J'Von when?
is someone scared of a move? TK is really becoming the very person he said he'd never be.
Or Ricky could just fulfill his dates or stay on indies and wait out his contract that way
@jdog7673 He already fulfilled his dates Tony broke a promise he built AEW on not adding time to contracts
Wrestling already has Bishop Kaun of the Gates of Agony, who appears for ROH and AEW.
Another Bishop in media is Bishop from the X-Men.
You’re acting like Bishop Kaun is such a giant name.
I mean we have Damian Priest so....
Bishop from the X-Men!
Bishop = Vicar man
Dais = a raised platform at the front of a room, hall, or Church
