A Flicker of Amusement - Morning Walk - 7/4

Happy Freedom Eagles Day to all my fellow USA people! I celebrated by going back to bed and I guess I needed it because I apparently slept through a bunch of dog shenanigans.
But we made it outside and got a bit of variety thanks to the slightly later hour: we even got a greeting from Lulu (the pupper next door.) Most exciting today was definitely the northern flicker. I’ve seen it around a couple of times before but this is the best look we’ve gotten.
