    Paul and Richard, that looked delish! I grew up in the state, never eating parsnips. I'd like to try this soup. Also, I think Paul looks cute with short hair, and younger! XXOO

    Great video guys....amazed Paul has any fingers left..that`s some mighty quick chopping there...
    I am making carrot and parsnip soup today,will be spicing it up a little though(and minus the wine)....this comes off the back of preparing an amazing carrot and coriander soup last week!

    It's up there with one of my favourite soups - so easy to make and carrot and parsnip compliment each other so well.
    I honestly think I could live on soups for the rest of my life - with my limited cooking skills, I love experimenting with them.
    I enjoyed that guys, thanks.... Kevin

    I keep saying this but yum! Parsnip and carrot combined make a great mash too! I can’t believe you have leftover wine, does not compute 😂Cheers Maria

    I cannot think of a better combination than carrots and parsnips for a soup. Do you ever mash them together and use either alongside or instead of mashed potato? If not, you should try it - it's heaven! I've had some really rubbish spatulas in the last few years but I'm now going to explore Le Creuset. Thank you both.

    • @RichardandPaul
      @RichardandPaul  6 років тому

      Sarah Vernon we don't often have mashed veg ..we should as I love anything mashed. The spatulas are good...i think they are heat proof silicone. You can probably cheaper versions than Le Creuset.

    Morning boys from a cold and wet Dordogne 🙋 that parsnip looks great and it is indeed a whopper 👍😉 where do you get your music for vids (are they free ones)? As I’m looking for some new ones. Lovely snow falling behind you. I myself use incense sticks around the house but never seen those strips. Love your mixer as well lol 🙂. Sitting on sofa all wrapped up so “Send me a bowl of that now” 😁👍👌, hugs x

      Clarice's French Gardening Thank you and good morning from bloody cold London!! The soup was very warming and needed...this old Victorian house gets chilly in the cold weather... Some of the music I do myself, but this particular piece is a freebie from you tube...there is a section in the UA-cam creator studio called Audio (I think) and it allows you to download free clips. Next time I am at the laptop I will find exactly where it is and let you know...😀😀😀🌼🌻🌼

    What a whopper, indeed!!! Yeah - just cut it out, plenty left there! My wife hates the remnant smells of oil/fat cooking and spitting smells from roasts - so she puts out bowls of vinegar and half an onion - and this seems to absorb the smells for some reason and although I hate the smell of vinegar - the onion masks that! Despite lingering cooking smells - we both enjoy cooking and baking. The smells are a necessary evil! Hope you enjoyed the soup! Looked tasty!

      One of the best ways to get rid of cooking smells is lemongrass oil. A few drops in a cup of hot water will cut through any odour and the scent is clean and uplifting.

      Thanks for that. Will give it a go.
